Zacarías 7

1O Senhor me enviou outra mensagem, no quarto ano do reinado de Dario, no quarto dia do nono mês, o mês de quisleu.
2Os judeus da cidade de Betel haviam mandado um grupo de homens liderados por Sarezer, o chefe do pessoal do palácio real, e Regém-Meleque, ao templo do Senhor em Jerusalém para buscar a ajuda do Senhor,
3e para perguntarem aos sacerdotes do templo do Senhor dos Exércitos e aos profetas se deveriam continuar com seu costume tradicional de jejuar e chorar no quinto mês, como já vinham fazendo há tantos anos.
4Foi esta a resposta do Senhor dos Exércitos que veio por meu intermédio:
5“Quando vocês voltarem a Betel, digam a todo o povo e aos sacerdotes de lá: ‘Durante os setenta anos de cativeiro, quando vocês jejuavam e choravam, no quinto e no sétimo mês, estavam mesmo deixando de lado os seus pecados e se voltando para mim?
6E mesmo agora, vocês só pensam em satisfazer seus próprios desejos quando comem e bebem.
7Há muitos anos, quando Jerusalém era uma cidade rica e o Neguebe e a Sefelá viviam cheios de gente, os profetas avisaram aos judeus que essa mesma atitude acabaria por destruí-los, e isso de fato aconteceu’ ”.
8Então a seguinte mensagem do Senhor foi dada a Zacarias:
9“Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Sejam honestos e corretos, não aceitem gorjetas desonestas e sejam bondosos e saibam perdoar a todos.
10Parem de oprimir as viúvas e os órfãos, os estrangeiros e os pobres, e parem de planejar coisas ruins uns contra os outros”.
11“Seus antepassados não quiseram ouvir esta mensagem. Rebeldemente viraram as costas para mim e taparam os ouvidos para não ouvir!
12Endureceram seus corações e não ouviram as palavras que o Senhor dos Exércitos ordenou, as leis que foram reveladas a eles pelo seu Espírito por meio dos antigos profetas. Foi por isso que a terrível ira do Senhor dos Exércitos veio sobre eles.
13“Eu os chamei, mas eles se recusaram a ouvir. Por isso, quando gritarem por mim, pedindo socorro, eu também não os ouvirei”, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
14“Como um vendaval eu os espalhei entre as nações mais distantes. A terra em que viviam virou um deserto; ninguém passava por ela. A terra agradável ficou deserta e vazia”.

1Y ACONTECIÓ en el año cuarto del rey Darío, que fué palabra de Jehová á Zacarías á los cuatro del mes noveno, que es Chisleu;
2Cuando fué enviado á la casa de Dios, Saraser, con Regem-melech y sus hombres, á implorar el favor de Jehová,
3Y á hablar á los sacerdotes que estaban en la casa de Jehová de los ejércitos, y á los profetas, diciendo: ¿Lloraremos en el mes quinto? ¿haremos abstinencia como hemos hecho ya algunos años?
4Fué pues á mí palabra de Jehová de los ejércitos, diciendo:
5Habla á todo el pueblo del país, y á los sacerdotes, diciendo: Cuando ayunasteis y llorasteis en el quinto y en el séptimo mes estos setenta años, ¿habéis ayunado para mí?
6Y cuando coméis y bebéis, ¿no coméis y bebéis para vosotros?
7¿No son estas las palabras que publicó Jehová por mano de los profetas primeros, cuando Jerusalem estaba habitada y quieta, y sus ciudades en sus alrededores, y el mediodía y la campiña se habitaban?
8Y fué palabra de Jehová á Zacarías, diciendo:
9Así habló Jehová de los ejércitos, diciendo: Juzgad juicio verdadero, y haced misericordia y piedad cada cual con su hermano:
10No agraviéis á la viuda, ni al huérfano, ni al extranjero, ni al pobre; ni ninguno piense mal en su corazón contra su hermano.
11Empero no quisieron escuchar, antes dieron hombro rebelado, y agravaron sus oídos para no oir:
12Y pusieron su corazón como diamante, para no oir la ley ni las palabras que Jehová de los ejércitos enviaba por su espíritu, por mano de los profetas primeros: fué, por tanto, hecho grande castigo por Jehová de los ejércitos.
13Y aconteció que como él clamó, y no escucharon, así ellos clamaron, y yo no escuché, dice Jehová de los ejércitos;
14Antes los esparcí con torbellino por todas las gentes que ellos no conocían, y la tierra fué desolada tras de ellos, sin quedar quien fuese ni viniese; pues tornaron en asolamiento el país deseable.

1And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu;
2When they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regem-melech, and their men, to pray before the LORD,
3And to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?
4Then came the word of the LORD of hosts unto me, saying,
5Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me?
6And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?
7Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?
8And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying,
9Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:
10And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
11But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.
12Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.
13Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:
14But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.

1In the fourth year of King Darius, the LORD’s word came to Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Chislev.
2The people of Bethel sent Sharezer and Regem Melech and their men to entreat the LORD’s favor,
3and to speak to the priests of the house of the LORD of Armies and to the prophets, saying, “Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?”
4Then the word of the LORD of Armies came to me, saying,
5“Speak to all the people of the land and to the priests, saying, ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and in the seventh month for these seventy years, did you at all fast to me, really to me?
6When you eat and when you drink, don’t you eat for yourselves and drink for yourselves?
7Aren’t these the words which the LORD proclaimed by the former prophets when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and its cities around her, and the South and the lowland were inhabited?’”
8The LORD’s word came to Zechariah, saying,
9“Thus has the LORD of Armies spoken, saying, ‘Execute true judgment, and show kindness and compassion every man to his brother.
10Don’t oppress the widow, the fatherless, the foreigner, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart.’
11But they refused to listen, and turned their backs, and stopped their ears, that they might not hear.
12Yes, they made their hearts as hard as flint, lest they might hear the law and the words which the LORD of Armies had sent by his Spirit by the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from the LORD of Armies.
13It has come to pass that, as he called and they refused to listen, so they will call and I will not listen,” said the LORD of Armies;
14“but I will scatter them with a whirlwind among all the nations which they have not known. Thus the land was desolate after them, so that no man passed through nor returned; for they made the pleasant land desolate.”
