¡Lamenténse árboles de ciprés, por cuánto los árboles de ciprés han caído! ¡Lo que era majestuoso ha sido devastado! Laméntense ustedes robles de Basán, por cuánto el fuerte bosque ha caído.

Aulla, oh haya, porque el cedro cayó, porque los magníficos son talados. Aullad, alcornoques de Basán, porque el fuerte monte es derribado.

Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down.

Wail, cypress tree, for the cedar has fallen, because the stately ones are destroyed. Wail, you oaks of Bashan, for the strong forest has come down.
