Salmo de Asaph. CIERTAMENTE bueno es Dios á Israel, á los limpios de corazón.
Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.
Meine Füße aber hätten beinahe gestrauchelt; nichts fehlte, so wären meine Tritte ausgeglitten.

Aus der Verfettung stammt ihre Verschuldung, wallen die Gebilde ihres Herzens über.
Sus ojos están salidos de gruesos: logran con creces los antojos del corazón.
Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
Their eyes bulge with fat. Their minds pass the limits of conceit.
Sie höhnen und reden in Bosheit, reden Bedrückung von oben herab.
Soltáronse, y hablan con maldad de hacer violencia; hablan con altanería.
They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression.
In den Himmel erheben sie ihr Maul, während sich ihre Zunge auf Erden ergeht.
Ponen en el cielo su boca, y su lengua pasea la tierra.
They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.

Darum wendet sich sein Volk hierher, und Wasser in Fülle wird von ihnen geschlürft.
Por eso su pueblo vuelve aquí, y aguas de lleno les son exprimidas.
Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.

Sie sprechen: “Wie weiß es Gott, und wie gäbe es ein Wissen darum beim Höchsten?”
Y dicen: ¿Cómo sabe Dios? ¿y hay conocimiento en lo alto?
And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
They say, “How does God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?”
Ja, so sind die Gottlosen und in steter Ruhe häufen sie Reichtum an.
He aquí estos impíos, sin ser turbados del mundo, alcanzaron riquezas.
Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
Behold, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.
War es denn ganz umsonst, daß ich mein Herz rein erhielt und in Unschuld meine Hände wusch -
Verdaderamente en vano he limpiado mi corazón, y lavado mis manos en inocencia;
Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.

Da sann ich nach, um es zu begreifen, aber ein Elend war es in meinen Augen,
Pensaré pues para saber esto: es á mis ojos duro trabajo,
When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;

bis ich in Gottes Heiligtümer eindrang, acht hatte auf ihr Ende.
Hasta que venido al santuario de Dios, entenderé la postrimería de ellos.
Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

Ja, auf schlüpfrigen Boden stellst du sie, stürzest sie in Trümmer.
Ciertamente los has puesto en deslizaderos; en asolamientos los harás caer.
Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
Surely you set them in slippery places. You throw them down to destruction.
Wie sind sie im Nu zur Wüste geworden, haben ein Ende genommen, sind durch Schrecknisse dahin!
¡Cómo han sido asolados! ¡cuán en un punto! Acabáronse, fenecieron con turbaciones.
How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.
Gleich einem Traume nach dem Erwachen, so verschmähst du, Herr, wenn du wach wirst, ihr Bild.
Como sueño del que despierta, así, Señor, cuando despertares, menospreciarás sus apariencias.
As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.

Als mein Herz verbittert war, und es mich in den Nieren stach,
Desazonóse á la verdad mi corazón, y en mis riñones sentía punzadas.
Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

Mir aber ist die Nähe Gottes köstlich; in den Herrn Jahwe habe ich meine Zuflucht gesetzt, um von allen deinen Werken zu erzählen.
Y en cuanto á mí, el acercarme á Dios es el bien: he puesto en el Señor Jehová mi esperanza, para contar todas tus obras.
But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
