Salmos 37
Bible David Martin 1744
1Psaume de David. Ne te dépite point à cause des méchants, ne sois point jaloux de ceux qui s’adonnent à la perversité.
2Car ils seront soudainement retranchés comme le foin, et se faneront comme l’herbe verte.
3Assure-toi en l’Eternel, et fais ce qui est bon ; habite la terre, et te nourris de vérité.
4Et prends ton plaisir en l’Eternel, et il t’accordera les demandes de ton coeur.
5Remets ta voie sur l’Eternel, et te confie en lui ; et il agira ;
6Et il manifestera ta justice comme la clarté, et ton droit comme le midi.
7Demeure tranquille te confiant en l’Eternel, et l’attends ; ne te dépite point à cause de celui qui fait bien ses affaires, à cause, dis-je, de l’homme qui vient à bout de ses entreprises.
8Garde-toi de te courroucer, et renonce à la colère ; ne te dépite point, au moins pour mal faire.
9Car les méchants seront retranchés ; mais ceux qui se confient en l’Eternel hériteront la terre.
10Encore donc un peu de temps, et le méchant ne sera plus ; et tu prendras garde à son lieu, et il n’y sera plus.
11Mais les débonnaires hériteront la terre, et jouiront à leur aise d’une grande prospérité.
12Le méchant machine contre le juste, et grince ses dents contre lui.
13Le Seigneur se rira de lui, car il a vu que son jour approche.
14Les méchants ont tiré leur épée, et ont bandé leur arc, pour abattre l’affligé, et le pauvre, et pour massacrer ceux qui marchent dans la droiture.
15Mais leur épée entrera dans leur coeur, et leurs arcs seront rompus.
16Mieux vaut au juste le peu qu’il a, que l’abondance à beaucoup de méchants.
17Car les bras des méchants seront cassés, mais l’Eternel soutient les justes.
18L’Eternel connaît les jours de ceux qui sont intègres, et leur héritage demeurera à toujours.
19Ils ne seront point confus au mauvais temps, mais ils seront rassasiés au temps de la famine.
20Mais les méchants périront, et les ennemis de l’Eternel s’évanouiront comme la graisse des agneaux, ils s’en iront en fumée.
21Le méchant emprunte, et ne rend point ; mais le juste a compassion, et donne.
22Car les bénis de l’Eternel hériteront la terre ; mais ceux qu’il a maudits seront retranchés.
23Les pas de l’homme qu’il a béni sont conduits par l’Eternel, et il prend plaisir à ses voies.
24S’il tombe, il ne sera pas entièrement abattu ; car l’Eternel lui soutient la main.
25J’ai été jeune, et j’ai atteint la vieillesse, mais je n’ai point vu le juste abandonné, ni sa postérité mendiant son pain.
26Il est ému de pitié tout le jour, et il prête ; et sa postérité est en bénédiction.
27Retire-toi du mal, et fais le bien ; et tu auras une demeure éternelle.
28Car l’Eternel aime ce qui est juste, et il n’abandonne point ses bien- aimés ; c’est pourquoi ils sont gardés à toujours ; mais la postérité des méchants est retranchée.
29Les justes hériteront la terre, et y habiteront à perpétuité.
30La bouche du juste proférera la sagesse, et sa langue prononcera la justice.
31La Loi de son Dieu est dans son coeur, aucun de ses pas ne chancellera.
32Le méchant épie le juste, et cherche à le faire mourir.
33L’Eternel ne l’abandonnera point entre ses mains, et ne le laissera point condamner quand on le jugera.
34Attends l’Eternel, et prends garde à sa voie, et il t’exaltera, afin que tu hérites la terre, et tu verras comment les méchants seront retranchés.
35J’ai vu le méchant terrible, et s’étendant comme un laurier vert ;
36Mais il est passé, et voilà, il n’est plus ; je l’ai cherché, et il ne s’est point trouvé.
37Prends garde à l’homme intègre, et considère l’homme droit ; car la fin d’un tel homme est la prospérité.
38Mais les prévaricateurs seront tous ensemble détruits, et ce qui sera resté des méchants sera retranché.
39Mais la délivrance des justes viendra de l’Eternel, il sera leur force au temps de la détresse.
40Car l’Eternel leur aide, et les délivre : il les délivrera des méchants, et les sauvera, parce qu’ils se seront confiés en lui.

1Salmo de David. NO te impacientes á causa de los malignos, ni tengas envidia de los que hacen iniquidad.
2Porque como hierba serán presto cortados, y decaerán como verdor de renuevo.
3Espera en Jehová, y haz bien; vivirás en la tierra, y en verdad serás alimentado.
4Pon asimismo tu delicia en Jehová, y él te dará las peticiones de tu corazón.
5Encomienda á Jehová tu camino, y espera en él; y él hará.
6Y exhibirá tu justicia como la luz, y tus derechos como el medio día.
7Calla á Jehová, y espera en él: no te alteres con motivo del que prospera en su camino, por el hombre que hace maldades.
8Déjate de la ira, y depón el enojo: no te excites en manera alguna á hacer lo malo.
9Porque los malignos serán talados, mas los que esperan en Jehová, ellos heredarán la tierra.
10Pues de aquí á poco no será el malo: y contemplarás sobre su lugar, y no parecerá.
11Pero los mansos heredarán la tierra, y se recrearán con abundancia de paz.
12Maquina el impío contra el justo, y cruje sobre él sus dientes.
13El Señor se reirá de él; porque ve que viene su día.
14Los impíos desenvainaron espada, y entesaron su arco, para derribar al pobre y al menesteroso, para matar á los de recto proceder.
15La espada de ellos entrará en su mismo corazón, y su arco será quebrado.
16Mejor es lo poco del justo, que las riquezas de muchos pecadores.
17Porque los brazos de los impíos serán quebrados: mas el que sostiene á los justos es Jehová.
18Conoce Jehová los días de los perfectos: y la heredad de ellos será para siempre.
19No serán avergonzados en el mal tiempo; y en los días de hambre serán hartos.
20Mas los impíos perecerán, y los enemigos de Jehová como la grasa de los carneros serán consumidos: se disiparán como humo.
21El impío toma prestado, y no paga; mas el justo tiene misericordia, y da.
22Porque los benditos de él heredarán la tierra; y los malditos de él serán talados.
23Por Jehová son ordenados los pasos del hombre, y aprueba su camino.
24Cuando cayere, no quedará postrado; porque Jehová sostiene su mano.
25Mozo fuí, y he envejecido, y no he visto justo desamparado, ni su simiente que mendigue pan.
26En todo tiempo tiene misericordia, y presta; y su simiente es para bendición.
27Apártate del mal, y haz el bien, y vivirás para siempre.
28Porque Jehová ama la rectitud, y no desampara sus santos: para siempre serán guardados; mas la simiente de los impíos será extirpada.
29Los justos heredarán la tierra, y vivirán para siempre sobre ella.
30La boca del justo hablará sabiduría; y su lengua proferirá juicio.
31La ley de su Dios está en su corazón; por tanto sus pasos no vacilarán.
32Acecha el impío al justo, y procura matarlo.
33Jehová no lo dejará en sus manos, ni lo condenará cuando le juzgaren.
34Espera en Jehová, y guarda su camino, y él te ensalzará para heredar la tierra: cuando serán talados los pecadores, lo verás.
35Vi yo al impío sumamente ensalzado, y que se extendía como un laurel verde.
36Empero pasóse, y he aquí no parece; y busquélo, y no fué hallado.
37Considera al íntegro, y mira al justo: que la postrimería de cada uno de ellos es paz.
38Mas los transgresores fueron todos á una destruídos: la postrimería de los impíos fué talada.
39Pero la salvación de los justos es de Jehová, y él es su fortaleza en el tiempo de angustia.
40Y Jehová los ayudará, y los librará: y libertarálos de los impíos, y los salvará, por cuanto en él esperaron.

1Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
3Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
10For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
11But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
13The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
14The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
15Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
16A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
17For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.
18The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
19They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
21The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
22For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
23The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
24Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
25I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
26He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
27Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
28For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
29The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
30The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
31The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
32The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
33The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
34Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
35I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
36Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
38But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
39But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
40And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

1Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness.
2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb.
3Trust in the LORD, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture.
4Also delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this:
6he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noon day sun.
7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen.
8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Don’t fret; it leads only to evildoing.
9For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land.
10For yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more. Yes, though you look for his place, he isn’t there.
11But the humble shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.
13The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming.
14The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright on the path.
15Their sword shall enter into their own heart. Their bows shall be broken.
16Better is a little that the righteous has, than the abundance of many wicked.

19They shall not be disappointed in the time of evil. In the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20But the wicked shall perish. The enemies of the LORD shall be like the beauty of the fields. They will vanish— vanish like smoke.
21The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.
22For such as are blessed by him shall inherit the land. Those who are cursed by him shall be cut off.
23A man’s steps are established by the LORD. He delights in his way.
24Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for the LORD holds him up with his hand.
