EIN Wallfahrtslied. Gedenke, o Herr, dem David / all seine Mühseligkeit, /
Cántico gradual. ACUÉRDATE, oh Jehová, de David, y de toda su aflicción;
LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:
LORD, remember David and all his affliction,
wie er dem Herrn geschworen, / dem Starken Jakobs gelobt hat: /
Que juró él á Jehová, prometió al Fuerte de Jacob:
How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;
how he swore to the LORD, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
"Ich will nicht in das Zelt meines Hauses gehen, / noch auf das Lager meines Bettes steigen, /
No entraré en la morada de mi casa, ni subiré sobre el lecho de mi estrado;
Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;
“Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;
ich will meinen Augen keinen Schlaf gönnen / und meinen Wimpern keinen Schlummer, / (a) Spr 6:4
No daré sueño á mis ojos, ni á mis párpados adormecimiento,
I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,
I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids,
bis ich dem Herrn eine Stätte finde, / eine Wohnung dem Starken Jakobs." /
Hasta que halle lugar para Jehová, moradas para el Fuerte de Jacob.
Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.
until I find out a place for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
