Meu filho, não se esqueça do meu ensino, mas guarde os meus mandamentos no seu coração,
HIJO mío, no te olvides de mi ley; y tu corazón guarde mis mandamientos:
My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments,
pois eles lhe acrescentarão longos dias, anos de vida e paz.
Porque largura de días, y años de vida y paz te aumentarán.
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
for they will add to you length of days, years of life, and peace.
Não permita que a bondade e a verdade o abandonem. Amarre-as ao redor do seu pescoço. Escreva-as na tábua do seu coração.
Misericordia y verdad no te desamparen; átalas á tu cuello, escríbelas en la tabla de tu corazón:
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart.
Assim você encontrará favor, e bom entendimento aos olhos de Deus e dos homens.
Y hallarás gracia y buena opinión en los ojos de Dios y de los hombres.
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
So you will find favor, and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Confie no SENHOR de todo o seu coração, e não se apoie no seu próprio entendimento.
Fíate de Jehová de todo tu corazón, y no estribes en tu prudencia.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding.
Reconheça-o em todos os seus caminhos, e ele endireitará as suas veredas.
Reconócelo en todos tus caminos, y él enderezará tus veredas.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Não seja sábio aos seus próprios olhos. Tema o SENHOR e afaste-se do mal.
No seas sabio en tu opinión: teme á Jehová, y apártate del mal;
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Isso trará saúde ao seu corpo, e vigor aos seus ossos.
Porque será medicina á tu ombligo, y tuétano á tus huesos.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones.
Honre o SENHOR com os seus bens, com as primícias de toda a sua renda;
Honra á Jehová de tu sustancia, y de las primicias de todos tus frutos;
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
Honor the LORD with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase;
assim os seus celeiros se encherão de fartura, e os seus lagares transbordarão de vinho novo.
Y serán llenas tus trojes con abundancia, y tus lagares rebosarán de mosto.
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Meu filho, não despreze a disciplina do SENHOR, nem se canse da sua repreensão;
No deseches, hijo mío, el castigo de Jehová; ni te fatigues de su corrección:
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
My son, don’t despise the LORD’s discipline, neither be weary of his correction;
pois o SENHOR repreende a quem ama, assim como um pai ao filho de quem se agrada.
Porque al que ama castiga, como el padre al hijo á quien quiere.
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
for whom the LORD loves, he corrects, even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights.
Feliz é o homem que acha a sabedoria, e o homem que adquire entendimento.
Bienaventurado el hombre que halla la sabiduría, y que obtiene la inteligencia:
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding.
Pois o seu lucro é melhor do que o lucro da prata, e a sua renda é melhor do que o ouro fino.
Porque su mercadería es mejor que la mercadería de la plata, y sus frutos más que el oro fino.
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
For her good profit is better than getting silver, and her return is better than fine gold.
Ela é mais preciosa do que os rubis. Nada do que você possa desejar se compara a ela.

Pela sabedoria o SENHOR fundou a terra. Pelo entendimento, ele estabeleceu os céus.

Pelo seu conhecimento, os abismos se romperam, e as nuvens destilam o orvalho.

Meu filho, não permita que estas coisas se afastem dos seus olhos. Guarde a verdadeira sabedoria e a discrição,
Hijo mío, no se aparten estas cosas de tus ojos; guarda la ley y el consejo;
My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
My son, let them not depart from your eyes. Keep sound wisdom and discretion,
pois elas serão vida para a sua alma, e graça para o seu pescoço.
Y serán vida á tu alma, y gracia á tu cuello.
So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.

Então você andará em segurança no seu caminho. O seu pé não tropeçará.
Entonces andarás por tu camino confiadamente, y tu pie no tropezará.
Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
Then you shall walk in your way securely. Your foot won’t stumble.
Quando você se deitar, não terá medo. Sim, você se deitará, e o seu sono será suave.
Cuando te acostares, no tendrás temor; antes te acostarás, y tu sueño será suave.
When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet.
Não tenha medo do pavor repentino, nem da ruína dos ímpios, quando vier;
No tendrás temor de pavor repentino, ni de la ruina de los impíos cuando viniere:
Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
Don’t be afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes;
pois o SENHOR será a sua confiança, e guardará o seu pé de ser apanhado em armadilha.
Porque Jehová será tu confianza, y él preservará tu pie de ser preso.
For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
for the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being taken.
Não negue o bem àqueles a quem é devido, quando estiver no poder da sua mão fazê-lo.
No detengas el bien de sus dueños, cuando tuvieres poder para hacerlo.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it.
Não diga ao seu próximo: “Vá e volte amanhã; amanhã eu lhe darei,” quando você tem o que ele precisa com você.
No digas á tu prójimo: Ve, y vuelve, y mañana te daré; cuando tienes contigo qué darle.
Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
Don’t say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again; tomorrow I will give it to you,” when you have it by you.
Não planeje o mal contra o seu próximo, pois ele mora em segurança perto de você.
No intentes mal contra tu prójimo, estando él confiado de ti.
Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
Don’t devise evil against your neighbor, since he dwells securely by you.
Não entre em litígio com um homem sem motivo, se ele não lhe fez nenhum mal.
No pleitees con alguno sin razón, si él no te ha hecho agravio.
Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
Don’t strive with a man without cause, if he has done you no harm.
Não tenha inveja do homem violento. Não escolha nenhum de seus caminhos.
No envidies al hombre injusto, ni escojas alguno de sus caminos.
Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
Don’t envy the man of violence. Choose none of his ways.
Pois o perverso é abominação para o SENHOR, mas a sua amizade íntima é com os retos.
Porque el perverso es abominado de Jehová: mas su secreto es con los rectos.
For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.
For the perverse is an abomination to the LORD, but his friendship is with the upright.
A maldição do SENHOR está na casa do ímpio, mas ele abençoa a habitação dos justos.
La maldición de Jehová está en la casa del impío; mas él bendecirá la morada de los justos.
The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
The LORD’s curse is in the house of the wicked, but he blesses the habitation of the righteous.
Certamente ele zomba dos zombadores, mas dá graça aos humildes.
Ciertamente él escarnecerá á los escarnecedores, y á los humildes dará gracia.
Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.
Surely he mocks the mockers, but he gives grace to the humble.
Os sábios herdarão a glória, mas a desonra será a exaltação dos tolos.
