Als nun Bileam merkte, daß es Jahwe gefiel, Israel zu segnen, ging er nicht, wie die vorigen Male, auf Wahrzeichen aus, sondern wandte sich gegen die Steppe.
Y COMO vió Balaam que parecía bien á Jehová que él bendijese á Israel, no fué, como la primera y segunda vez, á encuentro de agüeros, sino que puso su rostro hacia el desierto;

Als er nun hinschaute und Israel erblickte, wie es nach seinen Stämmen lagerte, da kam der Geist Gottes über ihn.
Y alzando sus ojos, vió á Israel alojado por sus tribus; y el espíritu de Dios vino sobre él.

Da trug er seinen Spruch vor und sprach: So spricht Bileam, der Sohn Beors; so spricht der Mann, dessen Auge verschlossen ist.
Entonces tomó su parábola, y dijo: Dijo Balaam hijo de Beor, y dijo el varón de ojos abiertos:

So spricht der, der göttliche Reden vernimmt, Gesichte des Allmächtigen schaut, hingesunken und enthüllten Auges.
Dijo el que oyó los dichos de Dios, el que vió la visión del Omnipotente; caído, mas abiertos los ojos:
He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

Wie herrlich sind deine Zelte, Jakob, deine Wohnsitze, Israel!
¡Cuán hermosas son tus tiendas, oh Jacob, tus habitaciones, oh Israel!

Wie Bachthäler, die sich weithin erstrecken, wie Baumgärten an einem Strom; wie Cardamomen, die Jahwe gepflanzt hat, wie Cedern am Wasser!
Como arroyos están extendidas, como huertos junto al río, como lináloes plantados por Jehová, como cedros junto á las aguas.
As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.

Es rinnt Wasser aus seinen Eimern, und seine Saat hat reichliches Wasser. Mächtiger als Agag ist sein König, und seine Herrschaft erhaben.
De sus manos destilarán aguas, y su simiente será en muchas aguas: y ensalzarse ha su rey más que Agag, y su reino será ensalzado.
He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.
Water shall flow from his buckets. His seed shall be in many waters. His king shall be higher than Agag. His kingdom shall be exalted.
Gott, der es aus Ägypten hinwegführte, ist für es wie die Hörner eines Wildochsen; Völker, die ihm feind sind, zehrt es aus und zermalmt ihre Knochen und es zerschmettert seine Dränger.

God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
God brings him out of Egypt. He has as it were the strength of the wild ox. He shall consume the nations his adversaries, shall break their bones in pieces, and pierce them with his arrows.
Es hat sich gestreckt, gelagert wie ein Löwe und wie eine Löwin; wer darf es aufreizen? Wer irgend dich segnet, soll gesegnet sein, wer dir aber flucht, der sei verflucht!
Se encorvará para echarse como león, y como leona; ¿quién lo despertará? Benditos los que te bendijeren, y malditos los que te maldijeren.
He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

Da wurde Balak sehr zornig über Bileam und schlug unwillig die Hände zusammen. Da sprach Balak zu Bileam: Um meine Feinde zu verfluchen, habe ich dich berufen; du aber hast nur gesegnet, nun bereits dreimal!
Entonces se encendió la ira de Balac contra Balaam, y batiendo sus palmas le dijo: Para maldecir á mis enemigos te he llamado, y he aquí los has resueltamente bendecido ya tres veces.
And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.
Balak’s anger burned against Balaam, and he struck his hands together. Balak said to Balaam, “I called you to curse my enemies, and, behold, you have altogether blessed them these three times.
So begieb dich nunmehr nur in deine Heimat. Ich gedachte dir's reichlich zu lohnen; aber Jahwe hat dich um den Lohn gebracht.
Húyete, por tanto, ahora á tu lugar: yo dije que te honraría, mas he aquí que Jehová te ha privado de honra.
Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour.
Therefore, flee to your place, now! I thought to promote you to great honor; but, behold, the LORD has kept you back from honor.”
Bileam antwortete Balak: Habe ich nicht bereits zu deinen Boten, die du an mich abgesandt hast, gesagt:
Y Balaam le respondió: ¿No lo declaré yo también á tus mensajeros que me enviaste, diciendo:
And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying,
Balaam said to Balak, “Didn’t I also tell your messengers whom you sent to me, saying,
Wenn mir Balak Silber und Gold schenkte, so viel nur in sein Haus geht, so könnte ich doch dem Befehle Jahwes nicht zuwiderhandeln und irgend etwas aus eigenem Willen thun, sondern muß reden, was Jahwe mir eingiebt.
Si Balac me diese su casa llena de plata y oro, yo no podré traspasar el dicho de Jehová para hacer cosa buena ni mala de mi arbitrio; mas lo que Jehová hablare, eso diré yo?
If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?
‘If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I can’t go beyond the LORD’s word, to do either good or bad from my own mind. I will say what the LORD says’?
So will ich denn nun wieder zu meinen Stammesgenossen ziehen; aber wohlan, ich will dir eröffnen, was dieses Volk deinem Volk in der Folgezeit anthun wird.
He aquí yo me voy ahora á mi pueblo: por tanto, ven, te indicaré lo que este pueblo ha de hacer á tu pueblo en los postrimeros días.
And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.
Now, behold, I go to my people. Come, I will inform you what this people shall do to your people in the latter days.”

So spricht der, welcher göttliche Reden vernimmt, der um die Erkenntnis des Höchsten weiß, der Gesichte des Allmächtigen schaut, hingesunken und enthüllten Auges.
Dijo el que oyó los dichos de Jehová, y el que sabe la ciencia del Altísimo, el que vió la visión del Omnipotente; caído, mas abiertos los ojos:
He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
he says, who hears the words of God, knows the knowledge of the Most High, and who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, and having his eyes open:
Ich sehe ihn, doch nicht schon jetzt, ich erspähe ihn, aber noch nicht nah. Es geht auf ein Stern aus Jakob, und ein Scepter erhebt sich aus Israel; das zerschlägt die Schläfen der Moabiter und den Scheitel aller Söhne Seths.
Verélo, mas no ahora: lo miraré, mas no de cerca: saldrá ESTRELLA de Jacob, y levantaráse cetro de Israel, y herirá los cantones de Moab, y destruirá á todos los hijos de Seth.
I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
I see him, but not now. I see him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob. A scepter will rise out of Israel, and shall strike through the corners of Moab, and crush all the sons of Sheth.
Und Edom wird Unterthanenland, und Seir, sein Feind, wird Unterthanenland; Israel aber verrichtet große Thaten.
Y será tomada Edom, será también tomada Seir por sus enemigos, e Israel se portará varonilmente.
And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.

Man wird herrschen von Jakob aus und Entronnene hinwegtilgen aus den Städten.
Y el de Jacob se enseñoreará, y destruirá de la ciudad lo que quedare.
Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.
Out of Jacob shall one have dominion, and shall destroy the remnant from the city.”
Als er aber die Amalekiter erblickte, trug er folgenden Spruch vor: Das vorzüglichste der Völker ist Amalek, aber schließlich neigt es sich dem Untergange zu!
Y viendo á Amalec, tomó su parábola, y dijo: Amalec, cabeza de gentes; mas su postrimería perecerá para siempre.
And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.
He looked at Amalek, and took up his parable, and said, “Amalek was the first of the nations, but his latter end shall come to destruction.”
Und als er auf die Keniter blickte, trug er folgenden Spruch vor: Fest sind deine Wohnsitze, und auf dem Felsen ist dein Nest gebaut.
Y viendo al Cineo, tomó su parábola, y dijo: Fuerte es tu habitación, pon en la peña tu nido:
And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.
He looked at the Kenite, and took up his parable, and said, “Your dwelling place is strong. Your nest is set in the rock.
Und doch ist Kain dem Untergang verfallen: Wie lange noch, so führt dich Assur in Gefangenschaft!
Que el Cineo será echado, cuando Assur te llevará cautivo.
Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.
Nevertheless Kain shall be wasted, until Asshur carries you away captive.”
Dann trug er folgenden Spruch vor: Weh, wer wird leben bleiben, wenn Gott Solches verhängt!
Todavía tomó su parábola, y dijo: ¡Ay! ¿quién vivirá cuando hiciere Dios estas cosas?
And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!

Und Schiffe von der Seite der Kittiter her, die demütigen Assur und demütigen das Land jenseits, und auch dieses verfällt dem Untergang!
Y vendrán navíos de la costa de Cittim, y afligirán á Assur, afligirán también á Eber: mas él también perecerá para siempre.
And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.
But ships shall come from the coast of Kittim. They shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber. He also shall come to destruction.”
Hierauf machte sich Bileam auf, um wieder in seine Heimat zurückzukehren, und auch Balak zog seines Wegs.
Entonces se levantó Balaam, y se fué, y volvióse á su lugar: y también Balac se fué por su camino.
And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.
