Tafel-Bibel
1Und Bileam sah, daß es vor den Augen Jehovahs gut war, Israel zu segnen, und er ging nicht mehr, wie einmal und das andere Mal auf Beschwörungen aus, sondern richtete sein Angesicht der Wüste zu.
2Und Bileam erhob seine Augen und sah Israel, wie es nach seinen Stämmen wohnte, und der Geist Gottes war auf ihm.
3Und Bileam hob seinen Spruch an und sprach: So spricht Bileam, der Sohn Beors, und so spricht der Mann, dem das Auge erschlossen;
4So spricht, der die Reden Gottes hört, der das Gesichte Schaddais erschaut, der niederfällt, und dem die Augen sind aufge- deckt;
5Wie gut sind deine Zelte, Jakob! deine Wohnungen, Israel!
6Wie Bachtäler sich erstrecken, wie Gärten am Flusse, wie Sandelbäume, die Jehovah gepflanzt, wie Zedern an dem Gewässer.
7Wasser wird ausströmen aus seinen Eimern; und seine Aussaat in vielen Wassern. Erhöhet über Agag wird sein König sein, und erhaben sein Reich.
8Gott hat ihn aus Ägypten ausgeführt. Mit der Festigkeit des Einhorns ist Er bei ihm. Er verzehrt die Völkerschaften, seine Dränger und ihre Gebeine zermalmt und ihre Pfeile zerschmettert Er.
9Er kauert sich nieder und legt sich wie der Löwe und wie der alte Löwe; wer will ihn aufscheuchen? Wer dich segnet, der ist gesegnet, und wer dich verflucht, ist verflucht.
10Und es entbrannte Balaks Zorn über Bileam, daß er die Hände zusammenschlug; und Balak sprach zu Bileam: Zu verwünschen meine Feinde hatte ich dich gerufen, und siehe, du hast sie dreimal gesegnet.
11Und nun entweiche an deinen Ort. Ich hatte gesagt: Ich würde dich verherrlichen, und siehe, Jehovah hat dir Herrlichkeit vorenthalten.
12Und Bileam sprach zu Balak: Redete ich nicht auch zu den Boten, die du zu mir sandtest, und sprach:
13Gäbe mir Balak sein Haus voll Silber und Gold, so vermöchte ich doch nicht, Jehovahs Befehl zu überschreiten, Gutes oder Böses aus meinem Herzen zu tun. Was Jehovah zu mir rede, das würde ich reden.
14Und nun siehe, ich gehe zu meinem Volk. Komm, ich will dich beraten, was dieses Volk in späteren Tagen deinem Volk tun wird.
15Und er hob an seinen Spruch und sprach: Der Spruch Bileams, des Sohnes Beors, und der Spruch des Mannes, dem das Auge erschlossen.
16Der Spruch dessen, der die Reden Gottes hört, und der da kennt die Kunde des Höchsten, der Schaddais Gesicht erschaut, der da niederfällt, und dem die Augen sind aufgedeckt.
17Ich sehe Ihn, aber nicht jetzt, ich betrachte Ihn, aber nicht nahe. Ein Stern wird aufgehen aus Jakob, und eine Rute steht auf aus Israel und zerschmettert die Ecken Moabs und stürzet alle Söhne Scheths danieder.
18Und Edom wird ein Erbbesitz und Seir wird ein Erbbesitz Seiner Feinde, Israel aber übt Tapferkeit.
19Und Er wird beherrschen den Jakob, und zerstören den Rest aus der Stadt.
20Und er sah Amalek und hob seinen Spruch an und sprach: Der Völkerschaften Erstling ist Amalek: aber um kommt seine Nachkommenschaft.
21Und er sah den Keniter, und hob seinen Spruch an und sprach: Fest ist dein Wohnsitz, und auf die Felsenklippe hast du dein Nest gesetzt.
22Jedoch Kain wird zum Brande sein. Wie lange, so wird Assur dich gefangennehmen.
23Und er hob an seinen Spruch und er sprach: Wehe, wer wird leben, wenn Gott es tun wird?
24Aber Schiffe kommen aus der Kittim Ufer, und sie demütigen Aschur und demütigen Eber, aber auch er muß umkommen.
25Und Bileam machte sich auf, und ging und kehrte zurück an seinen Ort, und auch Balak ging seines Weges.

1Y COMO vió Balaam que parecía bien á Jehová que él bendijese á Israel, no fué, como la primera y segunda vez, á encuentro de agüeros, sino que puso su rostro hacia el desierto;
2Y alzando sus ojos, vió á Israel alojado por sus tribus; y el espíritu de Dios vino sobre él.
3Entonces tomó su parábola, y dijo: Dijo Balaam hijo de Beor, y dijo el varón de ojos abiertos:
4Dijo el que oyó los dichos de Dios, el que vió la visión del Omnipotente; caído, mas abiertos los ojos:
5¡Cuán hermosas son tus tiendas, oh Jacob, tus habitaciones, oh Israel!
6Como arroyos están extendidas, como huertos junto al río, como lináloes plantados por Jehová, como cedros junto á las aguas.
7De sus manos destilarán aguas, y su simiente será en muchas aguas: y ensalzarse ha su rey más que Agag, y su reino será ensalzado.
8Dios lo sacó de Egipto; tiene fuerzas como de unicornio: comerá á las gentes sus enemigas, y desmenuzará sus huesos, y asaeteará con sus saetas.
9Se encorvará para echarse como león, y como leona; ¿quién lo despertará? Benditos los que te bendijeren, y malditos los que te maldijeren.
10Entonces se encendió la ira de Balac contra Balaam, y batiendo sus palmas le dijo: Para maldecir á mis enemigos te he llamado, y he aquí los has resueltamente bendecido ya tres veces.
11Húyete, por tanto, ahora á tu lugar: yo dije que te honraría, mas he aquí que Jehová te ha privado de honra.
12Y Balaam le respondió: ¿No lo declaré yo también á tus mensajeros que me enviaste, diciendo:
13Si Balac me diese su casa llena de plata y oro, yo no podré traspasar el dicho de Jehová para hacer cosa buena ni mala de mi arbitrio; mas lo que Jehová hablare, eso diré yo?
14He aquí yo me voy ahora á mi pueblo: por tanto, ven, te indicaré lo que este pueblo ha de hacer á tu pueblo en los postrimeros días.
15Y tomó su parábola, y dijo: Dijo Balaam hijo de Beor, dijo el varón de ojos abiertos:
16Dijo el que oyó los dichos de Jehová, y el que sabe la ciencia del Altísimo, el que vió la visión del Omnipotente; caído, mas abiertos los ojos:
17Verélo, mas no ahora: lo miraré, mas no de cerca: saldrá ESTRELLA de Jacob, y levantaráse cetro de Israel, y herirá los cantones de Moab, y destruirá á todos los hijos de Seth.
18Y será tomada Edom, será también tomada Seir por sus enemigos, e Israel se portará varonilmente.
19Y el de Jacob se enseñoreará, y destruirá de la ciudad lo que quedare.
20Y viendo á Amalec, tomó su parábola, y dijo: Amalec, cabeza de gentes; mas su postrimería perecerá para siempre.
21Y viendo al Cineo, tomó su parábola, y dijo: Fuerte es tu habitación, pon en la peña tu nido:
22Que el Cineo será echado, cuando Assur te llevará cautivo.
23Todavía tomó su parábola, y dijo: ¡Ay! ¿quién vivirá cuando hiciere Dios estas cosas?
24Y vendrán navíos de la costa de Cittim, y afligirán á Assur, afligirán también á Eber: mas él también perecerá para siempre.
25Entonces se levantó Balaam, y se fué, y volvióse á su lugar: y también Balac se fué por su camino.

1And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
2And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.
3And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
4He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
5How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!
6As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.
7He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.
8God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
9He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.
10And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.
11Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour.
12And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying,
13If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?
14And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.
15And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
16He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
17I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
18And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.
19Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.
20And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.
21And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.
22Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.
23And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!
24And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.
25And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.

1When Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he didn’t go, as at the other times, to use divination, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
2Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came on him.
3He took up his parable, and said, “Balaam the son of Beor says, the man whose eyes are open says;
4he says, who hears the words of God, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, and having his eyes open:
5How goodly are your tents, Jacob, and your dwellings, Israel!
6As valleys they are spread out, as gardens by the riverside, as aloes which the LORD has planted, as cedar trees beside the waters.
7Water shall flow from his buckets. His seed shall be in many waters. His king shall be higher than Agag. His kingdom shall be exalted.
8God brings him out of Egypt. He has as it were the strength of the wild ox. He shall consume the nations his adversaries, shall break their bones in pieces, and pierce them with his arrows.
9He couched, he lay down as a lion, as a lioness; who shall rouse him up? Everyone who blesses you is blessed. Everyone who curses you is cursed.”
10Balak’s anger burned against Balaam, and he struck his hands together. Balak said to Balaam, “I called you to curse my enemies, and, behold, you have altogether blessed them these three times.
11Therefore, flee to your place, now! I thought to promote you to great honor; but, behold, the LORD has kept you back from honor.”
12Balaam said to Balak, “Didn’t I also tell your messengers whom you sent to me, saying,
13‘If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I can’t go beyond the LORD’s word, to do either good or bad from my own mind. I will say what the LORD says’?
14Now, behold, I go to my people. Come, I will inform you what this people shall do to your people in the latter days.”
15He took up his parable, and said, “Balaam the son of Beor says, the man whose eyes are open says;
16he says, who hears the words of God, knows the knowledge of the Most High, and who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, and having his eyes open:
17I see him, but not now. I see him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob. A scepter will rise out of Israel, and shall strike through the corners of Moab, and crush all the sons of Sheth.
18Edom shall be a possession. Seir, his enemy, also shall be a possession, while Israel does valiantly.
19Out of Jacob shall one have dominion, and shall destroy the remnant from the city.”
20He looked at Amalek, and took up his parable, and said, “Amalek was the first of the nations, but his latter end shall come to destruction.”
21He looked at the Kenite, and took up his parable, and said, “Your dwelling place is strong. Your nest is set in the rock.
22Nevertheless Kain shall be wasted, until Asshur carries you away captive.”
23He took up his parable, and said, “Alas, who shall live when God does this?
