1Mirjam und Aaron aber redeten gegen Mose wegen des kuschitischen Weibes, das er zur Frau genommen hatte; er hatte nämlich eine Kuschitin geheiratet.
2Außerdem sagten sie: »Hat der HERR etwa nur mit Mose geredet? Hat er nicht auch mit uns geredet?«
3Der HERR hörte dies; Mose aber war ein überaus sanftmütiger Mann, sanftmütiger als irgendein anderer Mensch auf der Erde.
4Da sagte der HERR sofort zu Mose, zu Aaron und zu Mirjam: »Begebt euch alle drei zum Offenbarungszelt hinaus!« Als nun die drei hinausgegangen waren,
5fuhr der HERR in einer Wolkensäule herab und trat an den Eingang des Zeltes; als er dann Aaron und Mirjam gerufen hatte und die beiden hinausgegangen waren,
6sagte er: »Hört jetzt meine Worte! Wenn ein Prophet des HERRN unter euch ist, so offenbare ich mich ihm durch Gesichte und rede zu ihm durch Träume.
7So steht es aber nicht bei meinem Knecht Mose; der ist mit meinem ganzen Hause betraut;
8von Mund zu Mund rede ich mit ihm, unzweideutig und nicht in Rätseln, und er darf die Gestalt des HERRN selbst schauen. Warum habt ihr euch also nicht gescheut, gegen meinen Knecht, gegen Mose, übel zu reden?«
9Darauf entbrannte der Zorn des HERRN gegen sie, und er verschwand.
10Als aber die Wolke sich vom Zelt entfernt hatte, war Mirjam plötzlich vom Aussatz weiß wie Schnee geworden; und als Aaron sich zu Mirjam hinwandte, sah er, daß sie aussätzig war.
11Da sagte Aaron zu Mose: »Ach, bitte, mein Herr, laß uns doch nicht für die Sünde büßen, daß wir in Unbesonnenheit gehandelt und uns vergangen haben!
12Laß doch Mirjam nicht wie ein totes Kind sein, dessen Leib beim Austritt aus dem Mutterschoß schon halb verwest ist!«
13Darauf flehte Mose laut zum HERRN mit den Worten: »Ach Gott! Laß sie doch wieder gesund werden!«
14Da antwortete der HERR dem Mose: »Wenn ihr Vater ihr ins Gesicht gespien hätte, müßte sie sich da nicht sieben Tage lang schämen? Sie soll sieben Tage lang außerhalb des Lagers eingeschlossen bleiben; alsdann mag sie wieder Aufnahme im Lager finden.«
15So wurde denn Mirjam sieben Tage lang außerhalb des Lagers eingeschlossen; das Volk aber zog nicht eher weiter, als bis Mirjam wieder ins Lager aufgenommen war.
16Danach brach das Volk von Hazeroth auf und lagerte in der Wüste Paran.

1Y HABLARON María y Aarón contra Moisés á causa de la mujer Ethiope que había tomado: porque él había tomado mujer Ethiope.
2Y dijeron: ¿Solamente por Moisés ha hablado Jehová? ¿no ha hablado también por nosotros? Y oyólo Jehová.
3Y aquel varón Moisés era muy manso, más que todos los hombres que había sobre la tierra.
4Y luego dijo Jehová á Moisés, y á Aarón, y á María: Salid vosotros tres al tabernáculo del testimonio. Y salieron ellos tres.
5Entonces Jehová descendió en la columna de la nube, y púsose á la puerta del tabernáculo, y llamó á Aarón y á María; y salieron ellos ambos.
6Y él les dijo: Oid ahora mis palabras: si tuviereis profeta de Jehová, le apareceré en visión, en sueños hablaré con él.
7No así á mi siervo Moisés, que es fiel en toda mi casa:
8Boca á boca hablaré con él, y á las claras, y no por figuras; y verá la apariencia de Jehová: ¿por qué pues no tuvisteis temor de hablar contra mi siervo Moisés?
9Entonces el furor de Jehová se encendió en ellos; y fuése.
10Y la nube se apartó del tabernáculo: y he aquí que María era leprosa como la nieve; y miró Aarón á María, y he aquí que estaba leprosa.
11Y dijo Aarón á Moisés: ¡Ah! señor mío, no pongas ahora sobre nosotros pecado; porque locamente lo hemos hecho, y hemos pecado.
12No sea ella ahora como el que sale muerto del vientre de su madre, consumida la mitad de su carne.
13Entonces Moisés clamó á Jehová, diciendo: Ruégote, oh Dios, que la sanes ahora.
14Respondió Jehová á Moisés: Pues si su padre hubiera escupido en su cara, ¿no se avergonzaría por siete días?: sea echada fuera del real por siete días, y después se reunirá.
15Así María fué echada del real siete días; y el pueblo no pasó adelante hasta que se le reunió María.

1And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
2And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.
3(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
4And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
5And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
6And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
7My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
8With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
9And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.
10And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
11And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
12Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother’s womb.
13And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.
14And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.
15And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.
16And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.
World English Bible
1Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman.
2They said, “Has the LORD indeed spoken only with Moses? Hasn’t he spoken also with us?” And the LORD heard it.
3Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all the men who were on the surface of the earth.
4The LORD spoke suddenly to Moses, to Aaron, and to Miriam, “You three come out to the Tent of Meeting!” The three of them came out.
5The LORD came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the door of the Tent, and called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forward.
6He said, “Now hear my words. If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.
7My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house.
8With him, I will speak mouth to mouth, even plainly, and not in riddles; and he shall see the LORD’s form. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?”
9The LORD’s anger burned against them; and he departed.
10The cloud departed from over the Tent; and behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. Aaron looked at Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.
11Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord, please don’t count this sin against us, in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned.
12Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.”
13Moses cried to the LORD, saying, “Heal her, God, I beg you!”
14The LORD said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, shouldn’t she be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut up outside of the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again.”
15Miriam was shut up outside of the camp seven days, and the people didn’t travel until Miriam was brought in again.
16Afterward the people traveled from Hazeroth, and encamped in the wilderness of Paran.
