1Estes foram os sacerdotes e levitas que voltaram com Zorobabel, filho de Sealtiel, e com Jesua: Seraías, Jeremias, Esdras,
2Amarias, Maluque, Hatus,
3Secanias, Reum, Meremote,
4Ido, Ginetoi, Abias,
5Miamim, Maadias, Bilga,
6Semaías, Joiarihe, Jedaías,
7Salu, Amoque, Hilquias, Jedaías.
8Os levitas que foram com eles eram Jesua, Binui, Cadmiel, Serebias, Judá, e também Matanias, que era o encarregado dos cânticos de ação de graças.
9Baquebuquias e Uni, membros da mesma família, que ajudavam durante o culto.
10Jesua era o pai de Joiaquim; Joiaquim era o pai de Eliasibe; Eliasibe era o pai de Joiada;
11Joiada era o pai de Jônatas; Jônatas era o pai de Jadua.
12Os seguintes sacerdotes eram os chefes dos grupos de famílias, que prestavam serviço sob as ordens do sumo sacerdote Joiaquim: Meraías, chefe da família de Seraías; Hananias, chefe da família de Jeremias;
13Mesulão, chefe da família de Esdras; Joanã, chefe da família de Amasias;
14Jônatas, chefe da família de Maluqui: José, chefe da família de Sebanias;
15Adna, chefe da família de Harim; Hetcai, chefe da família de Meraiote;
16Zacarias, chefe da família de Ido; Mesulão, chefe da família de Ginetom;
17Zicri, chefe da família de Abias; Piltai, chefe das famílias de Moadias e Miniamim;
18Samua, chefe da família de Bilga; Jônatas, chefe da família de Semaías;
19Matenai, chefe da família de Joiaribe; Uzi, chefe da família de Jedaías;
20Calai, chefe da família de Salai; Éber, chefe da família de Amoque;
21Hasabias, chefe da família de Hilquias; Natanel, chefe da família de Jedaías.
22Durante o reinado de Dario, rei da Pérsia, foi feito um histórico dos chefes das famílias dos sacerdotes e levitas, nos dias de Eliasibe, Joiada, Joanã e Jadua — todos eles levitas.
23No livro das Crônicas, os nomes dos levitas foram registrados até os dias de Joanã, filho de Eliasibe.
24Estes eram os chefes dos levitas naquele tempo: Hasabias, Serebias e Tesua, filho de Cadmiel. Os que pertenciam à família deles ajudaram durante as cerimônias de louvor e ação de graças, exatamente como Davi, o homem de Deus, havia mandado.
25Os porteiros encarregados do recolhimento das ofertas nos depósitos junto aos portões eram Matanias, Baquebuquias, Obadias, Mesulão, Talmom e Acube.
26Esses eram os homens ativos no tempo de Joiaquim, filho de Jesua (Jesua que era filho de Jozadaque) nos dias do governador Neemias e quando Esdras era o sacerdote e escriba.
27Durante a consagração dos muros de Jerusalém, todos os levitas de toda aquela região vieram a Jerusalém para auxiliar nas cerimônias e tomar parte na alegre festa com ações de graças, ao som de címbalos, saltérios e harpas.
28Também das aldeias vizinhas de Jerusalém e das aldeias dos netofatitas vieram cantores a Jerusalém.
29Vieram também de Bete-Gilgal e da região de Geba e de Azmavete, pois os cantores tinham construído suas próprias aldeias ao redor de Jerusalém.
30Primeiro os sacerdotes e os levitas consagraramse a si mesmos, depois consagraram o povo, os portões e os muros.
31Eu levei os chefes de Judá para cima do muro e dividi o coro em duas fileiras compridas, que caminhavam em direções contrárias, dando graças enquanto andavam. Um grupo ia para a direita em direção à porta do Monturo.
32Hosaías e metade dos líderes de Judá os seguiram.
33Azarias, Esdras, Mesulão,
34Judá, Benjamim, Semaías e Jeremias,
35e alguns sacerdotes que tocavam as trombetas: Zacarias, filho de Jônatas; Jônatas, filho de Semaías; Semaías, filho de Matanias; Matanias, filho de Micaías; Micaías, filho de Zacur; Zacur, filho de Asafe,
36e os membros do seu grupo de famílias: Semaías, Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Netanel, Judá e Hanani. Eles usaram os instrumentos musicais prescritos pelo rei Davi, homem de Deus. Esdras, o escriba, ia à frente de todos.
37Chegando à porta da Fonte, eles foram em frente e subiram pelos degraus que levava até a Cidade de Davi, passaram pelo palácio de Davi e depois voltaram para o muro na porta das Águas que fica a leste.
38O outro coro, do qual eu fazia parte, seguia em sentido oposto. Passamos pela torre dos Fornos até a porta Larga,
39e depois desde a porta de Efraim até a porta Velha, passando pela porta do Peixe e pela torre de Hananeel, continuamos até a porta da torre dos Cem; depois caminhamos até a porta das Ovelhas e paramos junto à porta da Guarda.
40Então os dois coros caminharam em direção do templo de Deus. Junto com a metade dos oficiais que estavam no meu grupo,
41também havia os seguintes sacerdotes com suas trombetas: Eliaquim, Maaseias, Miniamim, Micaías, Elioenai, Zacarias e Hananias,
42além de Maaseias, Semaías, Eleazar, Uzi, Joanã, Malquias, Elão e Ézer. Eles cantavam em voz alta e bem clara, sob a direção de Jezraías, o regente do coro.
43Naquele dia alegre, foram oferecidos muitos sacrifícios, pois Deus os havia enchido de grande alegria. As mulheres e as crianças também se alegraram, e os sons de alegria do povo de Jerusalém podiam ser ouvidos de longe.
44Naquele mesmo dia foram nomeados os homens encarregados dos depósitos, das ofertas movidas, dos dízimos, das ofertas dos primeiros frutos das colheitas. Esses homens recolhiam das lavouras ao redor das cidades as contribuições exigidas pela Lei de Moisés. Essas ofertas eram destinadas aos sacerdotes e aos levitas, pois o povo de Judá estava satisfeito com os sacerdotes e os levitas e com o trabalho que faziam no templo.
45Eles celebravam o serviço do seu Deus e o ritual de purificação. Os cantores e os porteiros ajudavam na adoração a Deus e na direção das cerimônias, conforme era exigido pelas leis de Davi e de seu filho Salomão.
46Foi nos dias de Davi e de Asafe que começou o costume de ter regentes de coro para dirigir os coros no cântico de hinos de louvor e de agradecimentos a Deus.
47Por isso, agora, nos dias de Zorobabel e de Neemias, o povo trazia ofertas todos os dias para os cantores, para os porteiros e para os levitas. Os levitas, por sua vez, separavam uma porção aos descendentes de Arão.

14De Melichâ, Jonathán; de Sebanías, Joseph;
15De Harim, Adna; de Meraioth, Helcai;

22Los Levitas en días de Eliasib, de Joiada, y de Johanán y Jaddua, fueron escritos por cabezas de familias; también los sacerdotes, hasta el reinado de Darío el Persa.
23Los hijos de Leví, cabezas de familias, fueron escritos en el libro de las crónicas hasta los días de Johanán, hijo de Eliasib.
24Los cabezas de los Levitas: Hasabías, Serebías, y Jesuá hijo de Cadmiel, y sus hermanos delante de ellos, para alabar y para rendir gracias, conforme al estatuto de David varón de Dios, guardando su turno.
25Mathanías, y Bacbucías, Obadías, Mesullam, Talmón, Accub, guardas, eran porteros para la guardia á las entradas de las puertas.
26Estos fueron en los días de Joiacim, hijo de Jesuá, hijo de Josadac, y en los días del gobernador Nehemías, y del sacerdote Esdras, escriba.
27Y á la dedicación del muro de Jerusalem buscaron á los Levitas de todos sus lugares, para traerlos á Jerusalem, para hacer la dedicación y la fiesta con alabanzas y con cánticos, con címbalos, salterios y cítaras.
28Y fueron reunidos los hijos de los cantores, así de la campiña alrededor de Jerusalem como de las aldeas de Netophati;
29Y de la casa de Gilgal, y de los campos de Geba, y de Azmaveth; porque los cantores se habían edificado aldeas alrededor de Jerusalem.
30Y se purificaron los sacerdotes y los Levitas; y purificaron al pueblo, y las puertas, y el muro.
31Hice luego subir á los príncipes de Judá sobre el muro, y puse dos coros grandes que fueron en procesión: el uno á la mano derecha sobre el muro hacia la puerta del Muladar.
32E iba tras de ellos Osaías, y la mitad de los príncipes de Judá,
33Y Azarías, Esdras y Mesullam,
34Judá y Benjamín, y Semaías, y Jeremías;
35Y de los hijos de los sacerdotes iban con trompetas, Zacarías hijo de Jonathán, hijo de Semaías, hijo de Mathanías, hijo de Michâías, hijo de Zachûr, hijo de Asaph;
36Y sus hermanos Semaías, y Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nathanael, Judá y Hanani, con los instrumentos músicos de David varón de Dios; y Esdras escriba, delante de ellos.
37Y á la puerta de la Fuente, en derecho delante de ellos, subieron por las gradas de la ciudad de David, por la subida del muro, desde la casa de David hasta la puerta de las Aguas al oriente.
38Y el segundo coro iba del lado opuesto, y yo en pos de él, con la mitad del pueblo sobre el muro, desde la torre de los Hornos hasta el muro ancho;
39Y desde la puerta de Ephraim hasta la puerta vieja, y á la puerta del Pescado, y la torre de Hananeel, y la torre de Hamath, hasta la puerta de las Ovejas: y pararon en la puerta de la Cárcel.
40Pararon luego los dos coros en la casa de Dios; y yo, y la mitad de los magistrados conmigo;
41Y los sacerdotes, Eliacim, Maaseías, Miniamin, Michâías, Elioenai, Zacarías, y Hananías, con trompetas;
42Y Maaseías, y Semeías, y Eleazar, y Uzzi, y Johanán, y Malchías, y Elam, y Ezer. Y los cantores cantaban alto, é Israhía era el prefecto.
43Y sacrificaron aquel día grandes víctimas, é hicieron alegrías; porque Dios los había recreado con grande contentamiento: alegráronse también las mujeres y muchachos; y el alborozo de Jerusalem fué oído de lejos.
44Y en aquel día fueron puestos varones sobre las cámaras de los tesoros, de las ofrendas, de las primicias, y de los diezmos, para juntar en ellas, de los campos de las ciudades, las porciones legales para los sacerdotes y Levitas: porque era grande el gozo de Judá con respecto á los sacerdotes y Levitas que asistían.
45Y habían guardado la observancia de su Dios, y la observancia de la expiación, como también los cantores y los porteros, conforme al estatuto de David y de Salomón su hijo.
46Porque desde el tiempo de David y de Asaph, ya de antiguo, había príncipes de cantores, y cántico y alabanza, y acción de gracias á Dios.
47Y todo Israel en días de Zorobabel, y en días de Nehemías, daba raciones á los cantores y á los porteros, cada cosa en su día: consagraban asimismo sus porciones á los Levitas, y los Levitas consagraban parte á los hijos de Aarón.

24And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.
25Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.
26These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.
27And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.
28And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi;
29Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.
30And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
31Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:
32And after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,
33And Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
34Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,
35And certain of the priests’ sons with trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph:
36And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them.
37And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.
38And the other company of them that gave thanks went over against them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall;
39And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.
40So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:
41And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
42And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
43Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
44And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.
45And both the singers and the porters kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.
46For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
47And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified holy things unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the children of Aaron.

27At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem to keep the dedication with gladness, both with giving thanks and with singing, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and with harps.

38The other company of those who gave thanks went to meet them, and I after them, with the half of the people on the wall above the tower of the furnaces, even to the wide wall,
39and above the gate of Ephraim, and by the old gate, and by the fish gate, the tower of Hananel, and the tower of Hammeah, even to the sheep gate; and they stood still in the gate of the guard.
40So the two companies of those who gave thanks in God’s house stood, and I and the half of the rulers with me;
41and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
42and Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam, and Ezer. The singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
43They offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and the women and the children also rejoiced, so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even far away.
44On that day, men were appointed over the rooms for the treasures, for the wave offerings, for the first fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them according to the fields of the cities the portions appointed by the law for the priests and Levites; for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites who served.
45They performed the duty of their God and the duty of the purification, and so did the singers and the gatekeepers, according to the commandment of David and of Solomon his son.
46For in the days of David and Asaph of old there was a chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.
47All Israel in the days of Zerubbabel and in the days of Nehemiah gave the portions of the singers and the gatekeepers, as every day required; and they set apart that which was for the Levites; and the Levites set apart that which was for the sons of Aaron.
