En ces jours-là, comme il y avait une très grande foule et qu'ils n'avaient rien à manger, Jésus appela ses disciples à lui et leur dit :

Si je les renvoie chez eux à jeun, ils défailliront en chemin, car quelques-uns d'entre eux sont venus de loin. »
Y si los enviare en ayunas á sus casas, desmayarán en el camino; porque algunos de ellos han venido de lejos.
And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.
If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come a long way.”
Ses disciples lui répondirent : « D'où pourrait-on rassasier ces gens de pain, ici, dans un lieu désert ? »
Y sus discípulos le respondieron: ¿De dónde podrá alguien hartar á estos de pan aquí en el desierto?
And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?

And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people.

And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

Il les quitta, et remontant dans la barque, il partit pour l'autre bord.

Il les avertit, en disant : « Faites attention : méfiez-vous du levain des pharisiens et du levain d'Hérode. »

Jésus, s'en étant aperçu, leur dit : « Pourquoi raisonnez-vous sur le fait que vous n'avez pas de pain ? Ne saisissez-vous pas encore et ne comprenez-vous pas ? Avez-vous encore le cœur endurci ?
Y como Jesús lo entendió, les dice: ¿Qué altercáis, porque no tenéis pan? ¿no consideráis ni entendéis? ¿aun tenéis endurecido vuestro corazón?
And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?

Il leur demanda : « Ne comprenez-vous pas encore ? »

And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?
He asked them, “Don’t you understand yet?”
Il arriva à Bethsaïda. On lui amena un aveugle et on le supplia de le toucher.
Y vino á Bethsaida; y le traen un ciego, y le ruegan que le tocase.
And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.

Il prit l'aveugle par la main, et le conduisit hors du village. Quand il eut craché sur ses yeux et lui eut imposé les mains, il lui demanda s'il voyait quelque chose.

And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.

Il leva les yeux et dit : « Je vois des hommes, mais je les vois comme des arbres qui marchent. »

And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.

Puis il lui imposa de nouveau les mains sur les yeux. Il regarda fixement, fut rétabli, et vit tout le monde clairement.
Luego le puso otra vez las manos sobre sus ojos, y le hizo que mirase; y fué restablecido, y vió de lejos y claramente á todos.
After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

Il le renvoya dans sa maison, en disant : « N'entre pas dans le village, et ne le dis à personne dans le village. »

Il leur recommanda de ne parler de lui à personne.
Y les apercibió que no hablasen de él á ninguno.
And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.

Il commença à leur enseigner qu'il fallait que le Fils de l'Homme souffre beaucoup, qu'il soit rejeté par les anciens, les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes, qu'il soit tué, et qu'après trois jours il ressuscite.
Y comenzó á enseñarles, que convenía que el Hijo del hombre padeciese mucho, y ser reprobado de los ancianos, y de los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y de los escribas, y ser muerto, y resucitar después de tres días.

But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.

Car que sert-il à un homme de gagner le monde entier, s'il perd sa vie ?
Porque ¿qué aprovechará al hombre, si granjeare todo el mundo, y pierde su alma?
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
Car que donnera un homme en échange de sa vie ?
¿O qué recompensa dará el hombre por su alma?
Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
For what will a man give in exchange for his life?
Car quiconque aura honte de moi et de mes paroles au milieu de cette génération adultère et pécheresse, le Fils de l'Homme aura aussi honte de lui, quand il viendra dans la gloire de son Père avec les saints anges. »
Porque el que se avergonzare de mí y de mis palabras en esta generación adulterina y pecadora, el Hijo del hombre se avergonzará también de él, cuando vendrá en la gloria de su Padre con los santos ángeles.
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
