14Ihr fragt noch: Warum? Darum, weil Jahwe Zeuge war bei dem Eingehen des Bundes zwischen dir und dem Weibe deiner Jugend, der du nun die Treue gebrochen hast, obschon sie deine Lebensgefährtin und deine durch feierliche Gelübde mit dir verbundene Gattin war.

14Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
