1"Ihr sollt keine Götzen machen! Ihr sollt euch kein Schnitzbild errichte und kein Steinmal! Ihr sollt keinen Klagestein in eurem Lande setzen, um euch darauf hinzuwerfen! Denn ich, der Herr, bin euer Gott.
2Meine Ruhetage sollt ihr beobachten! Vor meinem Heiligtume sollt ihr Ehrfurcht haben! Ich bin der Herr.
3Wandelt ihr nach meinen Satzungen und haltet ihr meine Vorschriften und tut ihr nach ihnen,
4alsdann gebe ich eure Regen zu ihrer Zeit. Das Land gibt seine Ernte und des Feldes Baum seine Frucht.
5Dann reicht euch die Dreschzeit bis zur Weinlese und die Weinlese bis zur Saatzeit. Ihr eßt bis zum Sattsein euer Brot und sitzt in Sicherheit in eurem Lande.
6Dem Land gebe ich Frieden. Ihr legt euch nieder, und niemand schreckt euch. Böses Getier schaffe ich aus dem Lande. Kein Schwert zieht mehr durch euer Land.
7Verfolgt ihr eure Feinde, dann verfallen sie vor euch dem Schwerte!
8Eurer fünf verfolgen hundert und eurer hundert zehntausend. So verfallen eure Feinde vor euch dem Schwert.
9Ich wende mich euch zu und mehre euch und mache euch zahlreich. Meinen Bund errichte ich mit euch.
10Essen könnt ihr Altes, Gelagertes. Das Alte aber müßt ihr erst hinausschaffen vor dem Neuen.
11Ich nehme meinen Wohnsitz bei euch, und meine Seele wird euch nicht verabscheuen.
12Ich wandle unter euch und bin euch Gott. Ihr aber sollt mir zum Volke sein!
13Ich, der Herr, bin euer Gott, der aus Ägypterland euch geführt, damit ihr nicht länger ihnen Sklaven wäret. Ich zerbrach die Stangen eures Joches und ließ euch aufrecht gehen.
14Hört ihr aber nicht auf mich und tut ihr nicht nach allen den Geboten,
15verwerft ihr meine Vorschriften und verabscheut eure Seele meine Satzungen, daß alle meine Gebote ungetan bleiben, daß ihr meinen Bund brechet,
16dann tu ich Ähnliches an euch. Ich verhänge über euch plötzlich Schwindsucht und Brand, die die Augen vernichten und die Seele verkümmern. Umsonst sät ihr euren Samen. Eure Feinde verzehren ihn.
17Ich kehre mein Antlitz wider euch. Von euren Feinden werdet ihr geschlagen, und eure Hasser unterjochen euch. Ihr flieht, wo keiner euch verfolgt.
18Gehorcht ihr mir auf dies hin nicht, dann züchtige ich euch noch siebenmal härter für eure Sünden.
19Ich breche euren frechen Übermut und lasse euren Himmel wie Eisen werden, euer Ackerfeld wie Erz.
20Umsonst verzehrt sich eure Kraft. Ertraglos bleibt euer Ackerfeld. Des Feldes Bäume geben keine Frucht.
21Und geht ihr dann mit mir noch unschicklich um, und wollt ihr mir nicht gehorchen, dann schlage ich euch nach euren Sünden siebenfach.
22Ich sende gegen euch des Feldes Wild, damit es euch entvölkere und euer Vieh würge und euch mindere, damit eure Straßen veröden.
23Und nehmt ihr dann noch keine Zucht von mir an,
24dann gehe auch ich mit euch unschicklich um und schlage euch siebenfach um eurer Sünde willen.
25Ich bringe über euch ein Schwert, das den Bundesbruch rächt. Bergt ihr euch in euren Städten, dann sende ich unter euch die Pest. In Feindeshände werdet ihr gegeben.
26Zerbreche ich euch des Brotes Stütze, dann können euer Brot zehn Weiber in einem einzigen Ofen backen. Sie werden euch das Brot zuwägen. Dann esset ihr und werdet nicht satt.
27Und hört ihr trotzdem nicht auf mich, und geht ihr mit mir unschicklich um,
28dann gehe auch ich in meinem Grimm mit euch unschicklich um und züchtige euch meinerseits um eurer Sünden willen siebenfach.
29Dann eßt ihr eurer Söhne Fleisch, und eurer Töchter Fleisch werdet ihr essen.
30Und ich verwüste eure Höhen, zerstöre eure Rauchaltäre und werfe auf eure Götzen eure Leichen. So ekelt sich meine Seele vor euch.
31Ich mache zu Trümmern eure Städte und lasse eure Heiligtümer unbewohnt und nicht mehr rieche ich euren süßen Duft.
32Ich verwüste das Land, und eure Feinde entsetzen sich darob, wenn sie in ihm siedeln.
33Euch aber zerstreue ich unter die Heiden und ich zücke hinter euch ein Schwert. Zur Wüste soll euer Land werden, zu Trümmern eure Städte!
34Dann zahlt das Land seine Sabbate mit all der Zeit der Verödung, indessen ihr im Lande eurer Feinde seid. Dann feiert das Land und zahlt so seine Sabbate.
35Ruhe hat es die ganze Zeit der Verödung, die Ruhe, die es nicht gehabt, als ihr bei euren Ruhezeiten darin noch wohntet.
36Die von euch übrigbleiben, mache ich verzagt in ihrer Feinde Länder. Verwehten Blattes Rauschen schlägt sie in die Flucht. Sie fliehen wie auf Schwertes Flucht und stürzen, obwohl sie niemand verfolgt.
37Sie fallen wie vor einem Schwerte, der eine über den anderen, obschon von niemandem verfolgt. Ihr haltet vor euren Feinden nicht stand.
38Und bei den Heiden schwindet ihr, und eurer Feinde Land frißt euch.
39Die von euch übrigbleiben, siechen ob ihrer Sündenschuld in eurer Feinde Ländern hin. Sie siechen obendrein ob ihrer Väter Sünden hin.
40Bekennen sie dann ihre Schuld und die der Väter, in ihrem Trug, mit dem sie mich betrogen, auch daß sie mit mir unschicklich umgegangen
41und daß auch ich mit ihnen unschicklich gehandelt und sie in ihrer Feinde Land verbracht, wenn sich dann ihr unbeschnitten Herze beugt und wenn sie dann ihre Sündenschuld aufzählen,
42dann gedenke ich meines Jakobbundes und meines Isaakbundes und meines Abrahambundes und des Landes gedenke ich.
43Das Land muß aber von ihnen verlassen werden und seine Sabbate abzahlen, indes es wüste liegt und jene fort sind. Sie selber müssen ihre Sündenschuld aufzählen, weil sie meine Satzungen verworfen und meine Vorschriften mißachtet haben.
44Trotzdem verwerfe ich sie nicht, wenn sie im Lande ihrer Feinde sind, und ich verabscheue sie nicht, so daß ich sie ganz vertilgt und meinen Bund mit ihnen aufgelöst hätte. Ich, der Herr, bin ihr Gott.
45Ich gedenke zu ihrem Besten des Bundes mit den Ahnen, die ich aus Ägypterland vor der Heiden Augen weggeführt, um ihnen Gott zu sein, ich, der Herr."
46Dies sind die Gebote, Satzungen und Lehren, die der Herr zwischen sich und den Söhnen Israels auf dem Berge Sinai durch Moses aufgestellt hat.

1NO haréis para vosotros ídolos, ni escultura, ni os levantaréis estatua, ni pondréis en vuestra tierra piedra pintada para inclinaros á ella: porque yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios.
2Guardad mis sábados, y tened en reverencia mi santuario: Yo Jehová.
3Si anduviereis en mis decretos, y guardareis mis mandamientos, y los pusiereis por obra;
4Yo daré vuestra lluvia en su tiempo, y la tierra rendirá sus producciones, y el árbol del campo dará su fruto;
5Y la trilla os alcanzará á la vendimia, y la vendimia alcanzará á la sementera, y comeréis vuestro pan en hartura, y habitaréis seguros en vuestra tierra:
6Y yo daré paz en la tierra, y dormiréis, y no habrá quien os espante: y haré quitar las malas bestias de vuestra tierra, y no pasará por vuestro país la espada:
7Y perseguiréis á vuestros enemigos, y caerán á cuchillo delante de vosotros:
8Y cinco de vosotros perseguirán á ciento, y ciento de vosotros perseguirán á diez mil, y vuestros enemigos caerán á cuchillo delante de vosotros.
9Porque yo me volveré á vosotros, y os haré crecer, y os multiplicaré, y afirmaré mi pacto con vosotros:
10Y comeréis lo añejo de mucho tiempo, y sacaréis fuera lo añejo á causa de lo nuevo:
11Y pondré mi morada en medio de vosotros, y mi alma no os abominará:
12Y andaré entre vosotros, y yo seré vuestro Dios, y vosotros seréis mi pueblo.
13Yo Jehová vuestro Dios, que os saqué de la tierra de Egipto, para que no fueseis sus siervos; y rompí las coyundas de vuestro yugo, y os he hecho andar el rostro alto.
14Empero si no me oyereis, ni hiciereis todos estos mis mandamientos,
15Y si abominareis mis decretos, y vuestra alma menospreciare mis derechos, no ejecutando todos mis mandamientos, é invalidando mi pacto;
16Yo también haré con vosotros esto: enviaré sobre vosotros terror, extenuación y calentura, que consuman los ojos y atormenten el alma: y sembraréis en balde vuestra simiente, porque vuestros enemigos la comerán:
17Y pondré mi ira sobre vosotros, y seréis heridos delante de vuestros enemigos; y los que os aborrecen se enseñorearán de vosotros, y huiréis sin que haya quien os persiga.
18Y si aun con esas cosas no me oyereis, yo tornaré á castigaros siete veces más por vuestros pecados.
19Y quebrantaré la soberbia de vuestra fortaleza, y tornaré vuestro cielo como hierro, y vuestra tierra como metal:
20Y vuestra fuerza se consumirá en vano; que vuestra tierra no dará su esquilmo, y los árboles de la tierra no darán su fruto.
21Y si anduviereis conmigo en oposición, y no me quisiereis oir, yo añadiré sobre vosotros siete veces más plagas según vuestros pecados.
22Enviaré también contra vosotros bestias fieras que os arrebaten los hijos, y destruyan vuestros animales, y os apoquen, y vuestros caminos sean desiertos.
23Y si con estas cosas no fuereis corregidos, sino que anduviereis conmigo en oposición,
24Yo también procederé con vosotros en oposición, y os heriré aun siete veces por vuestros pecados:
25Y traeré sobre vosotros espada vengadora, en vindicación del pacto; y os recogeréis á vuestras ciudades; mas yo enviaré pestilencia entre vosotros, y seréis entregados en mano del enemigo.
26Cuando yo os quebrantare el arrimo del pan, cocerán diez mujeres vuestro pan en un horno, y os devolverán vuestro pan por peso; y comeréis, y no os hartaréis.
27Y si con esto no me oyereis, mas procediereis conmigo en oposición,
28Yo procederé con vosotros en contra y con ira, y os castigaré aun siete veces por vuestros pecados.
29Y comeréis las carnes de vuestros hijos, y comeréis las carnes de vuestras hijas:
30Y destruiré vuestros altos, y talaré vuestras imágenes, y pondré vuestros cuerpos muertos sobre los cuerpos muertos de vuestros ídolos, y mi alma os abominará:
31Y pondré vuestras ciudades en desierto, y asolaré vuestros santuarios, y no oleré la fragancia de vuestro suave perfume.
32Yo asolaré también la tierra, y se pasmarán de ella vuestros enemigos que en ella moran:
33Y á vosotros os esparciré por las gentes, y desenvainaré espada en pos de vosotros: y vuestra tierra estará asolada, y yermas vuestras ciudades.
34Entonces la tierra holgará sus sábados todos los días que estuviere asolada, y vosotros en la tierra de vuestros enemigos: la tierra descansará entonces y gozará sus sábados.
35Todo el tiempo que estará asolada, holgará lo que no holgó en vuestros sábados mientras habitabais en ella.
36Y á los que quedaren de vosotros infundiré en sus corazones tal cobardía, en la tierra de sus enemigos, que el sonido de una hoja movida los perseguirá, y huirán como de cuchillo, y caerán sin que nadie los persiga:
37Y tropezarán los unos en los otros, como si huyeran delante de cuchillo, aunque nadie los persiga; y no podréis resistir delante de vuestros enemigos.
38Y pereceréis entre las gentes, y la tierra de vuestros enemigos os consumirá.
39Y los que quedaren de vosotros decaerán en las tierras de vuestros enemigos por su iniquidad; y por la iniquidad de sus padres decaerán con ellos:
40Y confesarán su iniquidad, y la iniquidad de sus padres, por su prevaricación con que prevaricaron contra mí: y también porque anduvieron conmigo en oposición,
41Yo también habré andado con ellos en contra, y los habré metido en la tierra de sus enemigos: y entonces se humillará su corazón incircunciso, y reconocerán su pecado;
42Y yo me acordaré de mi pacto con Jacob, y asimismo de mi pacto con Isaac, y también de mi pacto con Abraham me acordaré; y haré memoria de la tierra.
43Que la tierra estará desamparada de ellos, y holgará sus sábados, estando yerma á causa de ellos; mas entretanto se someterán al castigo de sus iniquidades: por cuanto menospreciaron mis derechos, y tuvo el alma de ellos fastidio de mis estatutos.
44Y aun con todo esto, estando ellos en tierra de sus enemigos, yo no los desecharé, ni los abominaré para consumirlos, invalidando mi pacto con ellos: porque yo Jehová soy su Dios:
45Antes me acordaré de ellos por el pacto antiguo, cuando los saqué de la tierra de Egipto á los ojos de las gentes, para ser su Dios: Yo Jehová.
46Estos son los decretos, derechos y leyes que estableció Jehová entre sí y los hijos de Israel en el monte de Sinaí por mano de Moisés.

1Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.
2Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.
3If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
4Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
5And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
6And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
7And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.
8And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
9For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.
10And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.
11And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.
12And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.
13I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.
14But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
15And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
16I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
18And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
19And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:
20And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.
21And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
22I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.
23And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;
24Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.
25And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
26And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.
27And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
28Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
29And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
30And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.
31And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.
32And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.
33And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.
34Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.
35As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.
36And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.
37And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
38And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
39And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.
40If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;
41And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:
42Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
43The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.
44And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God.
45But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.
46These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.

1“‘You shall make for yourselves no idols, and you shall not raise up a carved image or a pillar, and you shall not place any figured stone in your land, to bow down to it; for I am the LORD your God.
2“‘You shall keep my Sabbaths, and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am the LORD.
3“‘If you walk in my statutes and keep my commandments, and do them,
4then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
5Your threshing shall continue until the vintage, and the vintage shall continue until the sowing time. You shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
6“‘I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and no one will make you afraid. I will remove evil animals out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
7You shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

14“‘But if you will not listen to me, and will not do all these commandments,
15and if you shall reject my statutes, and if your soul abhors my ordinances, so that you will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant,
16I also will do this to you: I will appoint terror over you, even consumption and fever, that shall consume the eyes, and make the soul to pine away. You will sow your seed in vain, for your enemies will eat it.
17I will set my face against you, and you will be struck before your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you; and you will flee when no one pursues you.
18“‘If you in spite of these things will not listen to me, then I will chastise you seven times more for your sins.
19I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your sky like iron, and your soil like bronze.

33I will scatter you among the nations, and I will draw out the sword after you. Your land will be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.
34Then the land will enjoy its Sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land. Even then the land will rest and enjoy its Sabbaths.
35As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, even the rest which it didn’t have in your Sabbaths when you lived on it.
36“‘As for those of you who are left, I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. The sound of a driven leaf will put them to flight; and they shall flee, as one flees from the sword. They will fall when no one pursues.
37They will stumble over one another, as it were before the sword, when no one pursues. You will have no power to stand before your enemies.
38You will perish among the nations. The land of your enemies will eat you up.
39Those of you who are left will pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers they shall pine away with them.
40“‘If they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me; and also that because they walked contrary to me,
41I also walked contrary to them, and brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity,
42then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham; and I will remember the land.

44Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly and to break my covenant with them; for I am the LORD their God.
45But I will for their sake remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am the LORD.’”
46These are the statutes, ordinances, and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in Mount Sinai by Moses.
