ÉL me exilió y me hizo caminar en oscuridad en lugar de en luz.

Ciertamente ÉL volteó su mano en mi contra una y otra vez, el día entero.
Ciertamente contra mí volvió y revolvió su mano todo el día.
Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand against me all the day.

Hizo que mi carne y piel se desgastaran; Y quebró mis huesos.

My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones.

ÉL construyó obras de asedio en mi contra, y me rodeó con amargura y privación.
Edificó contra mí, y cercóme de tósigo y de trabajo.
He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall and travail.
He has built against me, and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.
ÉL me hizo vivir en lugares oscuros, como aquellos que murieron hace mucho.
Asentóme en oscuridades, como los ya muertos de mucho tiempo.
He hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old.
He has made me dwell in dark places, as those who have been long dead.
ÉL construyó una muralla alrededor de mí y no pude escapar. Hizo mis cadenas pesadas
Cercóme por todos lados, y no puedo salir; agravó mis grillos.
He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy.

y a pesar de que clamo y pido ayuda, ÉL silencia mi oración.
Aun cuando clamé y dí voces, cerro los oídos á mi oración.
Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.
Yes, when I cry, and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.
ÉL obstruyó mi camino con una muralla de piedra labrada; hizo mis caminos torcidos.
Cercó mis caminos con piedra tajada, torció mis senderos.
He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.

Es como un oso esperando emboscarme, un león escondido;
Como oso que acecha fué para mí, como león en escondrijos.
He was unto me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.

ÉL puso a un lado mis caminos, y me ha desolado.
Torció mis caminos, y depedazóme; tornóme asolado.
He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.

ÉL tensó su arco y me puso como un objetivo para su arco.
Su arco entesó, y púsome como blanco á la saeta.

ÉL perforó mis riñones con los arcos de su aljaba.
Hizo entrar en mis riñones las saetas de su aljaba.
He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.

Me convertí en un hazmerreír para todo mi pueblo, el objeto de su burla el día entero.
Fuí escarnio á todo mi pueblo, canción de ellos todos los días.
I was a derision to all my people; and their song all the day.

ÉL me llenó de amargura y me forzó a beber ajenjo.
Hartóme de amarguras, embriagóme de ajenjos.
He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath made me drunken with wormwood.

ÉL aplastó mis dientes con gravilla; me ha empujado al suelo.
Quebróme los dientes con cascajo, cubrióme de ceniza.
He hath also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he hath covered me with ashes.

Mi alma es privada de paz; he olvidado lo que es la felicidad.
Y mi alma se alejó de la paz, olvidéme del bien.
And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity.

Así que yo digo: "¡SEÑOR! mi fuerza y esperanza han perecido".
Y dije: Pereció mi fortaleza, y mi esperanza de Jehová.
And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD:
I said, “My strength has perished, along with my expectation from the LORD.”
Recuerden mi aflicción y mis andanzas, el ajenjo y amargura.
Acuérdate de mi aflicción y de mi abatimiento, del ajenjo y de la hiel.
Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
Remember my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the bitterness.
Yo continuamente los recuerdo y estoy inclinado dentro de mí.
Tendrálo aún en memoria mi alma, porque en mí está humillada.
My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.

Pero yo recuerdo esto y tengo espeanza.
Esto reduciré á mi corazón, por lo cual esperaré.

EL amor firme del SEÑOR nunca acaba y su compasión nunca termina,
Es por la misericordia de Jehová que no somos consumidos, porque nunca decayeron sus misericordias.
It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
It is because of the LORD’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his mercies don’t fail.
ellos son nuevos cada día; tu fidelidad es grande.
Nuevas son cada mañana; grande es tu fidelidad.

"Yo dije EL SEÑOR es mi herencia", por lo tanto en ÉL esperaré.
Mi parte es Jehová, dijo mi alma; por tanto en él esperaré.
The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

EL SEÑOR es bueno con aquellos que esperan por ÉL, con aquel que lo busca.
Bueno es Jehová á los que en él esperan, al alma que le buscare.
The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

Es bueno esperar calladamente por la salvación del SEÑOR.
Bueno es esperar callando en la salud de Jehová.

Es bueno que un hombre sufra en su juventud.

Dejen que se sienta solo en silencio, porque fue DIOS quien le permitió sufrir.
Sentaráse solo, y callará, porque lo llevó sobre sí.
He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him.

Dejen que ponga su boca en el polvo, quizás todavía haya esperanza.
Pondrá su boca en el polvo, por si quizá hay esperanza.
He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope.

Dejen que dé su mejilla al que lo golpeó, y dejen que sea lleno con desgracia.
Dará la mejilla al que le hiriere; hartaráse de afrenta.
He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach.

Pues EL SEÑOR no nos rechazará por siempre,
Porque el Señor no desechará para siempre:
For the Lord will not cast off for ever:

pues aunque Él causa dolor, Él tendrá compasión de acuerdo a la abundancia de su amor firme.
Antes si afligiere, también se compadecerá según la multitud de sus misericordias.
But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

Pues ÉL no aflige ni atormenta a los hijos de la humaidad.
Porque no aflige ni congoja de su corazón á los hijos de los hombres.
For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

Para aplastar bajo el pie a todos los prisioneros de la tierra,
Desmenuzar bajo de sus pies todos los encarcelados de la tierra,
To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,

para negar a un hombre justicia en la presencia del MAS ALTO,
Hacer apartar el derecho del hombre ante la presencia del Altísimo,
To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,
to turn away the right of a man before the face of the Most High,
para negar justicia a una persona, ¡EL SEÑOR no aprobaría tales cosas!
Trastornar al hombre en su causa, el Señor no lo sabe.
To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not.
to subvert a man in his cause, the Lord doesn’t approve.
¿Quién ha hablado y decretado a meos que EL SEÑOR lo ordene?
¿Quién será aquel que diga, que vino algo que el Señor no mandó?
Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?
Who is he who says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord doesn’t command it?
¿No es de la boca del MAS ALTO que vienen ambas cosas, calamidades y bien?
¿De la boca del Altísimo no saldrá malo y bueno?
Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
Doesn’t evil and good come out of the mouth of the Most High?
¿Cómo puede alguna persona viva quejarse? ¿Cómo puede una persona quejarse por el castigo de sus pecados?
¿Por qué murmura el hombre viviente, el hombre en su pecado?
Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
Why should a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
Permítannos examinar nuestros caminos y probarlos, y regresar al SEÑOR.
Escudriñemos nuestros caminos, y busquemos, y volvámonos á Jehová.
Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.

Permítannos levantar nuestros corazones y nuestras manos a DIOS en los cielos:

"Hemos transgredido y rebelado, y TÚ no has perdonado.
Nosotros nos hemos rebelado, y fuimos desleales; tú no perdonaste.
We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.

Te has cubierto a TÍ mismo con enojo y nos haz perseguido, TÚ has matado y no haz perdonado.
Desplegaste la ira, y nos perseguiste; mataste, no perdonaste.
Thou hast covered with anger, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.

Te haz cubierto a ti mismo con una nube para que ninguna oración pueda atravesarla.
Te cubriste de nube, porque no pasase la oración nuestra.
Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.
You have covered yourself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass through.
Nos haz hecho como sucia escoria y desperdicios entre las naciones.
Raedura y abominación nos tornaste en medio de los pueblos.
Thou hast made us as the offscouring and refuse in the midst of the people.
You have made us an off-scouring and refuse in the middle of the peoples.
Todos nuestros enemigos nos maldicen,
Todos nuestros enemigos abrieron sobre nosotros su boca.
All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.
“All our enemies have opened their mouth wide against us.
pánico y trampas han venido sobre nosotros, ruina y destruccción.
Temor y lazo fué para nosotros, asolamiento y quebrantamiento.
Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction.
Terror and the pit have come on us, devastation and destruction.”
Mis ojos fluyen con corrientes de lágrimas porque mi pueblo es destruido.
Ríos de aguas echan mis ojos, por el quebrantamiento de la hija de mi pueblo.
Mine eye runneth down with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
My eye runs down with streams of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
Mis ojos derramarán lágrimas sin cesar; sin alivio,
Mis ojos destilan, y no cesan, porque no hay alivio,
Mine eye trickleth down, and ceaseth not, without any intermission,
My eye pours down and doesn’t cease, without any intermission,
hasta que ÉL miré hacia abajo y EL SEÑOR vea desde el cielo.
Hasta que Jehová mire y vea desde los cielos.
Till the LORD look down, and behold from heaven.

Mis ojos tienen dolor a causa de todas las hijas de mi ciudad.
Mis ojos contristaron mi alma, por todas las hijas de mi ciudad.
Mine eye affecteth mine heart because of all the daughters of my city.

He sido cazado como a un pájaro, aquellos que eran mis enemigos; me cazaron sin ninguna razón.
Mis enemigos me dieron caza como á ave, sin por qué.
Mine enemies chased me sore, like a bird, without cause.
They have chased me relentlessly like a bird, those who are my enemies without cause.
Ellos me han lanzado a un pozo y lanzaron una piedra sobre mí,
Ataron mi vida en mazmorra, pusieron piedra sobre mí.

Llamé a tu nombre, SEÑOR, desde las profundidades del pozo.

TÚ escuchaste mi voz cuando yo dije: "No cierres tu oído a mi llanto por ayuda."
Oiste mi voz; no escondas tu oído á mi clamor, para mi respiro.
Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry.
You heard my voice: “Don’t hide your ear from my sighing, and my cry.”
TÚ te acercaste en el día que yo te llamé; Tú dijiste: "No temas."
Acercástete el día que te invoqué: dijiste: No temas.
Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.
You came near in the day that I called on you. You said, “Don’t be afraid.”
¡SEÑOR, TÚ defendiste mi caso, salvaste mi vida!
Abogaste, Señor, la causa de mi alma; redimiste mi vida.
O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.

SEÑOR, has visto el mal que ellos me han hecho; juzga mi caso.
Tú has visto, oh Jehová, mi agravio; defiende mi causa.

TÚ has visto sus insultos, todos sus conspiraciones en mi contra,
Tú has visto toda su venganza; todos sus pensamientos contra mí.

TÚ has escuchado su desprecio, SEÑOR, y todos sus planes con respecto a mí.
Tú has oído el oprobio de ellos, oh Jehová, todas sus maquinaciones contra mí;

Los labios de aquellos que se levantan en mi contra, y sus acusaciones, viene en mi contra todo el día.
Los dichos de los que contra mí se levantaron, y su designio contra mí todo el día.
The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day.

Mira cómo ellos se sientan y se levantan; ellos se burlan de mí con sus canciones.

Devuélveles, SEÑOR, de acuerdo a lo que ellos han hecho.
Dales el pago, oh Jehová, según la obra de sus manos.
Render unto them a recompence, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.

¡TÚ harás que sus corazones sean avergonzados! ¡Que tu condenación sea sobre ellos!
Dales ansia de corazón, tu maldición á ellos.
Give them sorrow of heart, thy curse unto them.
You will give them hardness of heart, your curse to them.
¡TÚ los persigues en ira y los destruyes de debajo de los cielos, SEÑOR!
Persíguelos en tu furor, y quebrántalos de debajo de los cielos, oh Jehová.
Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the LORD.
