6Pois o povo de Israel peregrinou pelo deserto por quarenta anos, até que todas as pessoas, isto é, todos os homens de guerra que haviam saído do Egito morreram, pois eles não obedeceram à voz de Yahweh. E Yahweh jurou-lhes que não veriam a terra que Ele havia jurado aos seus antepassados que nos daria, uma terra que mana leite e mel.

6Porque los hijos de Israel anduvieron por el desierto cuarenta años, hasta que toda la gente de los hombres de guerra que habían salido de Egipto, fué consumida, por cuanto no obedecieron á la voz de Jehová; por lo cual Jehová les juró que no les dejaría ver la tierra, de la cual Jehová había jurado á sus padres que nos la daría, tierra que fluye leche y miel.

6For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

6For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness until all the nation, even the men of war who came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they didn’t listen to the LORD’s voice. The LORD swore to them that he wouldn’t let them see the land which the LORD swore to their fathers that he would give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.
