8Da taten die Israeliten so, wie Josua befohlen hatte: sie hoben zwölf Steine mitten aus dem Jordan auf, wie der HERR dem Josua geboten hatte, entsprechend der Zahl der israelitischen Stämme, nahmen sie mit sich nach dem Platze des Nachtlagers hinüber und legten sie dort nieder.
