Os homens concordaram. “Se você não denunciar a nossa presença, tomaremos providências para que você e a sua família não corram perigo”, prometeram eles. “Damos a nossa palavra de que arriscaremos a nossa vida para salvar vocês. Nós trataremos vocês com misericórdia e fidelidade, quando o Senhor nos der esta terra”.
Y ellos le respondieron: Nuestra alma por vosotros hasta la muerte, si no denunciareis este nuestro negocio: y cuando Jehová nos hubiere dado la tierra, nosotros haremos contigo misericordia y verdad.
And the men answered her, Our life for yours, if ye utter not this our business. And it shall be, when the LORD hath given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.
