1Hierauf sandte Josua, der Sohn Nuns, von Sittim aus heimlich zwei Männer als Kundschafter aus mit der Weisung: »Geht hin, seht euch das Land und besonders Jericho an!« Da machten sie sich auf den Weg und kamen in das Haus einer Dirne namens Rahab und legten sich dort schlafen.

1And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot’s house, named Rahab, and lodged there.

1Joshua the son of Nun secretly sent two men out of Shittim as spies, saying, “Go, view the land, including Jericho.” They went and came into the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab, and slept there.
