40Assim Josué e o exército israelita conquistaram a região toda — as nações e os reis da região montanhosa, o deserto de Neguebe, as terras baixas e as encostas das nascentes das águas. Eles destruíram todos os seus reis sem deixar sobrevivente algum. Exterminaram tudo o que respirava, conforme o Senhor, o Deus de Israel, havia ordenado.

40Hirió pues Josué toda la región de las montañas, y del mediodía, y de los llanos, y de las cuestas, y á todos sus reyes, sin quedar nada; todo lo que tenía vida mató, al modo que Jehová Dios de Israel lo había mandado.

40So Joshua smote all the country of the hills, and of the south, and of the vale, and of the springs, and all their kings: he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the LORD God of Israel commanded.
