Siehe, du hast ja sonst viele gemahnt, / und schlaffe Hände hast du gestärkt. /
He aquí, tú enseñabas á muchos, y las manos flacas corroborabas;
Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.

Den Strauchelnden richteten auf deine Worte, / und brechenden Knieen gabst du Kraft. /
Al que vacilaba, enderezaban tus palabras, y esforzabas las rodillas que decaían.

Nun, da es an dich kommt, bist du verzagt, / weil es dich trifft, bist du bestürzt. /

Ist nicht deine Gottesfurcht dein Vertrauen, / und dein unsträflicher Wandel deine Hoffnung? /
