Wenn ich das Sonnenlicht betrachtete, wie es strahlte, und den Mond, wie er so prächtig dahinwallte,

Si he mirado al sol cuando resplandecía, y á la luna cuando iba hermosa,

If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;

if I have seen the sun when it shined, or the moon moving in splendor,
