23Y de aquí se originó la voz que corrió entre los hermanos, de que este discípulo no moriría. Mas no le dijo Jesús : No morirá, sino: Si yo quiero que así se quede hasta mi venida, ¿a ti qué te importa?

23Salió entonces este dicho entre los hermanos, que aquel discípulo no había de morir. Mas Jesús no le dijo, No morirá; sino: Si quiero que él quede hasta que yo venga ¿qué á ti?

23Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
World English Bible
23This saying therefore went out among the brothers that this disciple wouldn’t die. Yet Jesus didn’t say to him that he wouldn’t die, but, “If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you?”
