Jeremías 8

1Zu jener Zeit, spricht der HERR, wird man die Gebeine der Könige von Juda, die Gebeine seiner Fürsten, die Gebeine der Priester, die Gebeine der Propheten und die Gebeine der Bewohner Jerusalems aus ihren Gräbern hervorziehen
2und sie ausbreiten vor der Sonne und dem Mond und vor dem ganzen Heer des Himmels, welche sie liebgehabt, denen sie gedient haben und nachgelaufen sind, die sie gesucht und angebetet haben; man wird sie weder zusammenlesen noch begraben, sondern zu Dünger auf dem Felde sollen sie werden.
3Und alle, welche von diesem bösen Geschlecht übrigbleiben, werden lieber sterben als leben wollen an allen Orten, wohin ich die Uebriggebliebenen verstoßen habe, spricht der HERR der Heerscharen.
4So sollst du zu ihnen sagen: So spricht der HERR: Wer fällt und steht nicht wieder auf? Wer weicht ab und kehrt nicht wieder um?
5Warum hat sich denn dieses Volk zu Jerusalem so beharrlich abgewandt und den Betrug so festgehalten, daß sie nicht mehr umkehren wollen?
6Denn ich merkte auf und horchte: sie reden nicht, was recht ist; keiner ist, den seine Bosheit gereue, der da spräche: Was habe ich getan! Sondern ein jeder wendet sich ab in seinem Lauf wie ein Roß, das sich in den Kampf stürzt.
7Selbst der Storch am Himmel weiß seine bestimmten Zeiten; Turteltaube, Schwalbe und Kranich halten die Zeit ihrer Wiederkehr ein; aber mein Volk kennt die Rechtsordnung des HERRN nicht!
8Wie dürft ihr denn sagen: «Wir sind weise, und das Gesetz des HERRN ist bei uns!» Wahrlich ja, zur Lüge gemacht hat es der Lügengriffel der Schriftgelehrten!
9Zuschanden geworden sind die Weisen; sie sind erschrocken und haben sich selbst gefangen; denn siehe, sie haben das Wort des HERRN verworfen, was für eine Weisheit bleibt ihnen da noch übrig?
10Darum will ich ihre Frauen den Fremden geben und ihre Felder neuen Besitzern; denn sie trachten alle nach Gewinn, vom Kleinsten bis zum Größten; und vom Propheten bis zum Priester gehen sie alle mit Lügen um;
11und den Schaden der Tochter meines Volkes heilen sie leichthin, indem sie sprechen: «Friede, Friede!» wo doch kein Friede ist.
12Schämen sollten sie sich, weil sie solche Greuel verüben! Aber sie wissen nicht mehr, was sich schämen heißt, und empfinden keine Scham. Darum werden sie fallen unter den Fallenden, zur Zeit ihrer Heimsuchung werden sie stürzen, spricht der HERR.
13Ein Ende, ein Ende will ich ihnen machen, spricht der HERR. Keine Trauben sollen mehr am Weinstock sein und keine Feigen am Feigenbaum, und die Blätter sollen verwelken, und ich will sie denen geben, die an ihnen vorüberziehen!
14Was säumen wir? Versammelt euch, und laßt uns in die festen Städte ziehen, daß wir daselbst zugrunde gehen! Denn der HERR, unser Gott, richtet uns zugrunde und tränkt uns mit Giftwasser, weil wir wider den HERRN gesündigt haben.
15Wir warten auf Frieden (aber es wird nicht besser! auf eine Zeit der Heilung) aber siehe da, Schrecken!
16Von Dan hört man das Schnauben seiner Rosse; vom Wiehern seiner starken Pferde bebt das ganze Land; ja, sie kommen und fressen das Land auf und was darin ist, die Stadt und ihre Bewohner.
17Denn siehe, ich will Schlangen unter euch senden, Nattern, die sich nicht beschwören lassen, und sie werden euch beißen! spricht der HERR.
18Würde mir doch Erquickung zu teil in meinem Kummer! Aber mein Herz ist krank in mir.
19Horch! die Stimme des Geschreis der Tochter meines Volkes aus fernem Lande: «Ist denn der HERR nicht in Zion, ist ihr König nicht bei ihr?» Warum haben sie Mich mit ihren Götzenbildern, mit fremden Götzen erzürnt?
20«Die Ernte ist vorüber, der Sommer ist zu Ende, und wir sind nicht gerettet!»
21Wegen des Zusammenbruchs der Tochter meines Volkes bin ich ganz zerbrochen; ich trage Leid, und Entsetzen hat mich ergriffen.
22Ist denn kein Balsam in Gilead? Ist kein Arzt da? Warum hat die Heilung der Tochter meines Volkes keine Fortschritte gemacht?

1EN aquel tiempo, dice Jehová, sacarán los huesos de los reyes de Judá, y los huesos de sus príncipes, y los huesos de los sacerdotes, y los huesos de los profetas, y los huesos de los moradores de Jerusalem, fuera de sus sepulcros;
2Y los esparcirán al sol, y á la luna, y á todo el ejército del cielo, á quien amaron, y á quienes sirvieron, y en pos de quienes anduvieron, y á quienes preguntaron, y á quienes se encorvaron. No serán recogidos, ni enterrados: serán por muladar sobre la haz de la tierra.
3Y escogeráse la muerte antes que la vida por todo el resto que quedare de esta mala generación, en todos los lugares á donde los arrojaré yo á los que quedaren, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.
4Les dirás asimismo: Así ha dicho Jehová: ¿El que cae, no se levanta? ¿el que se desvía, no torna á camino?
5¿Por qué es este pueblo de Jerusalem rebelde con rebeldía perpetua? Abrazaron el engaño, no han querido volverse.
6Escuché y oí; no hablan derecho, no hay hombre que se arrepienta de su mal, diciendo: ¿Qué he hecho? Cada cual se volvió á su carrera, como caballo que arremete con ímpetu á la batalla.
7Aun la cigüeña en el cielo conoce su tiempo, y la tórtola y la grulla y la golondrina guardan el tiempo de su venida; mas mi pueblo no conoce el juicio de Jehová.
8¿Cómo decís: Nosotros somos sabios, y la ley de Jehová es con nosotros? Ciertamente, he aquí que en vano se cortó la pluma, por demás fueron los escribas.
9Los sabios se avergonzaron, espantáronse y fueron presos: he aquí que aborrecieron la palabra de Jehová; ¿y qué sabiduría tienen?
10Por tanto daré á otros sus mujeres, y sus heredades á quien las posea: porque desde el chico hasta el grande cada uno sigue la avaricia, desde el profeta hasta el sacerdote todos hacen engaño.
11Y curaron el quebrantamiento de la hija de mi pueblo con liviandad, diciendo: Paz, paz; y no hay paz.
12¿Hanse avergonzado de haber hecho abominación? Por cierto no se han corrido de vergüenza, ni supieron avergonzarse; caerán por tanto entre los que cayeren, cuando los visitaré: caerán, dice Jehová.
13Cortarélos de por junto, dice Jehová. No habrá uvas en la vid, ni higos en la higuera, y caeráse la hoja; y lo que les he dado pasará de ellos.
14¿Sobre qué nos aseguramos? Juntaos, y entrémonos en las ciudades fuertes, y allí reposaremos: porque Jehová nuestro Dios nos ha hecho callar, y dádonos á beber bebida de hiel, porque pecamos contra Jehová.
15Esperamos paz, y no hubo bien; día de cura, y he aquí turbación.
16Desde Dan se oyó el bufido de sus caballos: del sonido de los relinchos de sus fuertes tembló toda la tierra; y vinieron y devoraron la tierra y su abundancia, ciudad y moradores de ella.
17Porque he aquí que yo envío sobre vosotros serpientes, basiliscos, contra los cuales no hay encantamiento; y os morderán, dice Jehová.
18A causa de mi fuerte dolor mi corazón desfallece en mí.
19He aquí voz del clamor de la hija de mi pueblo, que viene de la tierra lejana: ¿No está Jehová en Sión? ¿no está en ella su Rey? ¿Por qué me hicieron airar con sus imágenes de talla, con vanidades ajenas?
20Pasóse la siega, acabóse el verano, y nosotros no hemos sido salvos.
21Quebrantado estoy por el quebrantamiento de la hija de mi pueblo; entenebrecido estoy, espanto me ha arrebatado.
22¿No hay bálsamo en Galaad? ¿no hay allí médico? ¿Por qué pues no hubo medicina para la hija de mi pueblo?

1At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:
2And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.
3And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.
4Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?
5Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.
6I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle.
7Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.
8How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.
9The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?
10Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
11For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
12Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
13I will surely consume them, saith the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
14Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the LORD.
15We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble!
16The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan: the whole land trembled at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones; for they are come, and have devoured the land, and all that is in it; the city, and those that dwell therein.
17For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the LORD.
18When I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint in me.
19Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?
20The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
21For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me.
22Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?

1“At that time,” says the LORD, “they will bring the bones of the kings of Judah, the bones of his princes, the bones of the priests, the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves.
2They will spread them before the sun, the moon, and all the army of the sky, which they have loved, which they have served, after which they have walked, which they have sought, and which they have worshiped. They will not be gathered or be buried. They will be like dung on the surface of the earth.
3Death will be chosen rather than life by all the residue that remain of this evil family, that remain in all the places where I have driven them,” says the LORD of Armies.
4“Moreover you shall tell them, ‘The LORD says: “‘Do men fall, and not rise up again? Does one turn away, and not return?
5Why then have the people of Jerusalem fallen back by a perpetual backsliding? They cling to deceit. They refuse to return.
6I listened and heard, but they didn’t say what is right. No one repents of his wickedness, saying, “What have I done?” Everyone turns to his course, as a horse that rushes headlong in the battle.
7Yes, the stork in the sky knows her appointed times. The turtledove, the swallow, and the crane observe the time of their coming; but my people don’t know the LORD’s law.
8“‘How do you say, “We are wise, and the LORD’s law is with us”? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has made that a lie.
9The wise men are disappointed. They are dismayed and trapped. Behold, they have rejected the LORD’s word. What kind of wisdom is in them?
10Therefore I will give their wives to others and their fields to those who will possess them. For everyone from the least even to the greatest is given to covetousness; from the prophet even to the priest everyone deals falsely.
