2Der Trotz Moabs ist aus, den sie an Hesbon hatten; denn man gedenkt Boses wider sie, namlich: Kommt, wir wollen sie ausrotten, daß sie kein Volk mehr seien! Und du, Madmen, muftt auch verderbet werden; das Schwert wird hinter dich kommen.

2There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.

2The praise of Moab is no more. In Heshbon they have devised evil against her: ‘Come! Let’s cut her off from being a nation.’ You also, Madmen, will be brought to silence. The sword will pursue you.
