1und führete sie in des HERRN Haus, in die Kapelle der Kinder Hanans, des Sohns Jegdaljas, des Mannes Gottes, welche neben der Fürsten Kapelle ist, über der Kapelle Masejas, des Sohns Sallums, des Torhüters.
2Und ich setzte den Kindern von der Rechabiter Hause Becher voll Weins und Schalen vor und sprach zu ihnen: Trinket Wein!
3Sie aber antworteten: Wir trinken nicht Wein; denn unser Vater Jonadab, der Sohn Rechabs, hat uns geboten und gesagt: Ihr und eure Kinder sollet nimmermehr keinen Wein trinken
4und kein Haus bauen, keinen Samen säen, keinen Weinberg pflanzen noch haben, sondern sollet in Hütten wohnen euer Leben lang, auf daß ihr lange lebet im Lande, darin ihr wallet.
5Also gehorchen wir der Stimme unsers Vaters Jonadab, des Sohns Rechabs, in allem, das er uns geboten hat, daß wir keinen Wein trinken unser Leben lang, weder wir noch unsere Weiber noch Söhne noch Töchter,
6und bauen auch keine Häuser, darin wir wohneten, und haben weder Weinberge noch Äcker noch Samen,
7sondern wohnen in Hütten und gehorchen und tun alles, wie unser Vater Jonadab geboten hat.
8Als aber Nebukadnezar der König zu Babel, herauf ins Land zog, sprachen wir: Kommt, laßt uns gen Jerusalem ziehen vor dem Heer der Chaldäer und Syrer; und sind also zu Jerusalem geblieben.
9Da geschah des HERRN Wort zu Jeremia und sprach:
10So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Gehe hin und sprich zu denen in Juda und zu den Bürgern zu Jerusalem: Wollt ihr euch denn nicht bessern, daß ihr meinen Worten gehorchet? spricht der HERR.
11Die Worte Jonadabs, des Sohns Rechabs, die er seinen Kindern geboten hat daß sie nicht sollen Wein trinken, werden gehalten; und trinken keinen Wein bis auf diesen Tag, darum daß sie ihres Vaters Gebot gehorchen. Ich aber habe stets euch predigen lassen; doch gehorchet ihr mir nicht.
12So habe ich auch stets zu euch gesandt alle meine Knechte, die Propheten, und lassen sagen: Bekehret euch, ein jeglicher von seinem bösen Wesen, und bessert euren Wandel und folget nicht andern Göttern nach, ihnen zu dienen, so sollt ihr im Lande bleiben, welches ich euch und euren Vätern gegeben habe. Aber ihr wolltet eure Ohren nicht neigen noch mir gehorchen,
13so doch die Kinder Jonadabs, des Sohns Rechabs, haben ihres Vaters Gebot, das er ihnen geboten hat, gehalten. Aber dies Volk gehorchet mir nicht.
14Darum so spricht der HERR, der Gott Zebaoth und der Gott Israels: Siehe, ich will über Juda und über alle Bürger zu Jerusalem kommen lassen all das Unglück, das ich wider sie geredet habe, darum daß ich zu ihnen geredet habe, und sie nicht wollen hören, ich habe gerufen, und sie mir nicht wollen antworten.
15Und zum Hause der Rechabiter sprach Jeremia: So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Darum daß ihr dem Gebot eures Vaters Jonadab habt gehorchet und alle seine Gebote gehalten und alles getan, was er euch geboten hat,
16darum spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels, also: Es soll dem Jonadab, dem Sohn Rechabs, nimmer fehlen, es soll jemand von den Seinen allezeit vor mir stehen.
17Im vierten Jahr Jojakims, des Sohns Josias, des Königs Judas, geschah dies Wort zu Jeremia vom HERRN und sprach:
18Nimm ein Buch und schreibe darein alle Reden, die ich zu dir geredet habe über Israel, über Juda und alle Völker von der Zeit an, da ich zu dir geredet habe, nämlich von der Zeit Josias an bis auf diesen Tag,
19ob vielleicht das Haus Juda, wo sie hören all das Unglück, das ich ihnen gedenke zu tun, sich bekehren wollten, ein jeglicher von seinem bösen Wesen, damit ich ihnen ihre Missetat und Sünde vergeben könnte.

1PALABRA que fué á Jeremías de Jehová en días de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, diciendo:
2Ve á casa de los Rechâbitas, y habla con ellos, é introdúcelos en la casa de Jehová, en una de las cámaras, y dales á beber vino.
3Tomé entonces á Jaazanías hijo de Jeremías, hijo de Habassinías, y á sus hermanos, y á todos sus hijos, y á toda la familia de los Rechâbitas;
4Y metílos en la casa de Jehová, en la cámara de los hijos de Hanán, hijo de Igdalías, varón de Dios, la cual estaba junto á la cámara de los príncipes, que estaba sobre la cámara de Maasías hijo de Sallum, guarda de los vasos.
5Y puse delante de los hijos de la familia de los Rechâbitas tazas y copas llenas de vino, y díjeles: Bebed vino.
6Mas ellos dijeron: No beberemos vino; porque Jonadab hijo de Rechâb nuestro padre nos mandó, diciendo: No beberéis jamás vino vosotros ni vuestros hijos:
7Ni edificaréis casa, ni sembraréis sementera, ni plantaréis viña, ni la tendréis: mas moraréis en tiendas todos vuestros días, para que viváis muchos días sobre la haz de la tierra donde vosotros peregrináis.
8Y nosotros hemos obedecido á la voz de Jonadab nuestro padre, hijo de Rechâb, en todas las cosas que nos mandó, de no beber vino en todos nuestros días, nosotros, ni nuestras mujeres, ni nuestros hijos, ni nuestras hijas;
9Y de no edificar casas para nuestra morada, y de no tener viña, ni heredad, ni sementera.
10Moramos pues en tiendas, y hemos obedecido y hecho conforme á todas las cosas que nos mandó Jonadab nuestro padre.
11Sucedió, empero, que cuando Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia subió á la tierra, dijimos: Venid, y entrémonos en Jerusalem, de delante del ejército de los Caldeos y de delante del ejército de los de Siria: y en Jerusalem nos quedamos.
12Y fué palabra de Jehová á Jeremías, diciendo:
13Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Ve, y di á los varones de Judá, y á los moradores de Jerusalem: ¿No recibiréis instrucción para obedecer á mis palabras? dice Jehová.
14Fué firme la palabra de Jonadab hijo de Rechâb, el cual mandó á sus hijos que no bebiesen vino, y no lo han bebido hasta hoy, por obedecer al mandamiento de su padre; y yo os he hablado á vosotros, madrugando y hablando, y no me habéis oído.
15Y envié á vosotros á todos mis siervos los profetas, madrugando y enviándolos á decir: Tornaos ahora cada uno de su mal camino, y enmendad vuestras obras, y no vayáis tras dioses ajenos para servirles, y viviréis en la tierra que dí á vosotros y á vuestros padres: mas no inclinasteis vuestro oído, ni me oísteis.
16Ciertamente los hijos de Jonadab, hijo de Rechâb, tuvieron por firme el mandamiento que les dió su padre; mas este pueblo no me ha obedecido.
17Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: He aquí traeré yo sobre Judá y sobre todos los moradores de Jerusalem todo el mal que contra ellos he hablado: porque les hablé, y no oyeron; llamélos, y no han respondido.
18Y dijo Jeremías á la familia de los Rechâbitas: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Porque obedecisteis al mandamiento de Jonadab vuestro padre, y guardasteis todos sus mandamientos, é hicisteis conforme á todas las cosas que os mandó;
19Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: No faltará varón de Jonadab, hijo de Rechâb, que esté en mi presencia todos los días.

1The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,
2Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.
3Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habaziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;
4And I brought them into the house of the LORD, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door:
5And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine, and cups, and I said unto them, Drink ye wine.
6But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons for ever:
7Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land where ye be strangers.
8Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he hath charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters;
9Nor to build houses for us to dwell in: neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed:
10But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.
11But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell at Jerusalem.
12Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,
13Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my words? saith the LORD.
14The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their father’s commandment: notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye hearkened not unto me.
15I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.
16Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father, which he commanded them; but this people hath not hearkened unto me:
17Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.
18And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you:
19Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever.

2“Go to the house of the Rechabites, and speak to them, and bring them into the LORD’s house, into one of the rooms, and give them wine to drink.”
3Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habazziniah, with his brothers, all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;
4and I brought them into the LORD’s house, into the room of the sons of Hanan the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was by the room of the princes, which was above the room of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the threshold.
5I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites bowls full of wine, and cups; and I said to them, “Drink wine!”
6But they said, “We will drink no wine; for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying, ‘You shall drink no wine, neither you nor your children, forever.
7You shall not build a house, sow seed, plant a vineyard, or have any; but all your days you shall dwell in tents, that you may live many days in the land in which you live as nomads.’
8We have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he commanded us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, or our daughters;
9and not to build houses for ourselves to dwell in. We have no vineyard, field, or seed;
10but we have lived in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.
11But when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, we said, ‘Come! Let’s go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians; so we will dwell at Jerusalem.’”
12Then the LORD’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,

14“The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab that he commanded his sons, not to drink wine, are performed; and to this day they drink none, for they obey their father’s commandment; but I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking, and you have not listened to me.
15I have sent also to you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, ‘Every one of you must return now from his evil way, amend your doings, and don’t go after other gods to serve them. Then you will dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers;’ but you have not inclined your ear, nor listened to me.
16The sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father which he commanded them, but this people has not listened to me.”’
17“Therefore the LORD, the God of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Behold, I will bring on Judah and on all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them, because I have spoken to them, but they have not heard; and I have called to them, but they have not answered.’”
18Jeremiah said to the house of the Rechabites, “The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Because you have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according to all that he commanded you,’
19therefore the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Jonadab the son of Rechab will not lack a man to stand before me forever.’”
