La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie de la part du SEIGNEUR, lorsque Nébucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, avec toute son armée, tous les royaumes de la terre placés sous sa domination et tous les peuples, combattaient contre Jérusalem et contre toutes ses villes :
PALABRA que fué á Jeremías de Jehová, (cuando Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y todo su ejército, y todos los reinos de la tierra del señorío de su mano, y todos los pueblos, peleaban contra Jerusalem, y contra todas sus ciudades,) diciendo:
The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth of his dominion, and all the people, fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities thereof, saying,

« Ainsi parle le SEIGNEUR, le Dieu d'Israël : Va parler à Sédécias, roi de Juda, et dis-lui : Ainsi parle le SEIGNEUR : Voici, je livrerai cette ville entre les mains du roi de Babylone, et il la brûlera par le feu.
Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel: Ve, y habla á Sedechîas rey de Judá, y dile: Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí entregaré yo esta ciudad en mano del rey de Babilonia, y la abrasaré con fuego:
Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire:
“The LORD, the God of Israel, says, ‘Go, and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, the LORD says, “Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon and he will burn it with fire.
Tu n'échapperas pas à ses mains, mais tu seras certainement capturé et livré en son pouvoir. Tes yeux verront les yeux du roi de Babylone, il te parlera bouche à bouche, et tu iras à Babylone. »
Y no escaparás tú de su mano, sino que de cierto serás preso, y en su mano serás entregado; y tus ojos verán los ojos del rey de Babilonia, y te hablará boca á boca, y en Babilonia entrarás.
And thou shalt not escape out of his hand, but shalt surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and thine eyes shall behold the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with thee mouth to mouth, and thou shalt go to Babylon.
You won’t escape out of his hand, but will surely be taken and delivered into his hand. Your eyes will see the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he will speak with you mouth to mouth. You will go to Babylon.”’
« Cependant, écoute la parole du SEIGNEUR, Sédécias, roi de Juda ! Ainsi parle le SEIGNEUR à ton sujet : Tu ne mourras pas par l'épée.
Con todo eso, oye palabra de Jehová, Sedechîas rey de Judá: Así ha dicho Jehová de ti: No morirás á cuchillo;
Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of thee, Thou shalt not die by the sword:
“Yet hear the LORD’s word, O Zedekiah king of Judah. The LORD says concerning you, ‘You won’t die by the sword.
Tu mourras en paix ; et tout comme on a brûlé des aromates pour tes pères, les rois qui t'ont précédé, on en brûlera pour toi. On te pleurera en disant : « Hélas, seigneur ! » car c'est moi qui ai prononcé cette parole, déclare le SEIGNEUR. »
En paz morirás, y conforme á las quemas de tus padres, los reyes primeros que fueron antes de ti, así quemarán por ti, y te endecharán, diciendo, ¡Ay, señor!; porque yo he hablado la palabra, dice Jehová.
But thou shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for thee; and they will lament thee, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, saith the LORD.
You will die in peace; and with the burnings of your fathers, the former kings who were before you, so they will make a burning for you. They will lament you, saying, “Ah Lord!” for I have spoken the word,’ says the LORD.”
Alors le prophète Jérémie rapporta toutes ces paroles à Sédécias, roi de Juda, à Jérusalem,
Y habló Jeremías profeta á Sedechîas rey de Judá todas estas palabras en Jerusalem.
Then Jeremiah the prophet spake all these words unto Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem,

pendant que l'armée du roi de Babylone combattait contre Jérusalem et contre toutes les autres villes de Juda qui subsistaient, contre Lakis et contre Azéqa ; car c'étaient les seules villes fortifiées qui demeuraient en Juda.
Y el ejército del rey de Babilonia peleaba contra Jerusalem, y contra todas las ciudades de Judá que habían quedado, contra Lachîs, y contra Azeca; porque de las ciudades fuertes de Judá éstas habían quedado.
When the king of Babylon’s army fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: for these defenced cities remained of the cities of Judah.

La parole fut adressée à Jérémie de la part du SEIGNEUR, après que le roi Sédécias eut conclu une alliance avec tout le peuple de Jérusalem pour y proclamer l'affranchissement.
Palabra que fué á Jeremías de Jehová, después que Sedechîas hizo concierto con todo el pueblo en Jerusalem, para promulgarles libertad:
This is the word that came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, after that the king Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people which were at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty unto them;

Chacun devait renvoyer libre son serviteur et sa servante, l'Hébreu et l'Hébreuse, afin que personne ne maintienne dans l'esclavage un Juif, son frère.
Que cada uno dejase su siervo, y cada uno su sierva, hebreo y hebrea, libres; que ninguno usase de los Judíos su hermanos como de siervos.
That every man should let his manservant, and every man his maidservant, being an Hebrew or an Hebrewess, go free; that none should serve himself of them, to wit, of a Jew his brother.

Tous les chefs et tout le peuple qui étaient entrés dans l'alliance obéirent ; ils acceptèrent que chacun renvoie libre son serviteur et sa servante, afin de ne plus les maintenir dans l'esclavage. Ils obéirent et les laissèrent partir.
Y como oyeron todos los príncipes, y todo el pueblo que habían venido en el concierto de dejar cada uno su siervo y cada uno su sierva libres, que ninguno usase más de ellos como de siervos, obedecieron, y dejáronlos.
Now when all the princes, and all the people, which had entered into the covenant, heard that every one should let his manservant, and every one his maidservant, go free, that none should serve themselves of them any more, then they obeyed, and let them go.

Mais ensuite, ils changèrent d'avis et firent revenir les serviteurs et les servantes qu'ils avaient affranchis, et les soumirent de nouveau comme serviteurs et comme servantes.

C'est pourquoi la parole du SEIGNEUR fut adressée à Jérémie de la part du SEIGNEUR :
Y fué palabra de Jehová á Jeremías, de parte de Jehová, diciendo:

« Ainsi parle le SEIGNEUR, le Dieu d'Israël : J'ai conclu une alliance avec vos pères le jour où je les ai fait sortir du pays d'Égypte, de la maison de servitude, en disant :
Así dice Jehová Dios de Israel: Yo hice pacto con vuestros padres el día que los saqué de tierra de Egipto, de casa de siervos, diciendo:
Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondmen, saying,
“The LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, saying:
Au bout de sept ans, chacun de vous relâchera son frère hébreu qui lui a été vendu. Il te servira six ans, puis tu le renverras libre de chez toi. Mais vos pères ne m'ont pas écouté et n'ont pas prêté l'oreille.
Al cabo de siete años dejaréis cada uno á su hermano hebreo que te fuere vendido; te servirá pues seis años, y lo enviarás libre de ti: mas vuestros padres no me oyeron, ni inclinaron su oído.
At the end of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath been sold unto thee; and when he hath served thee six years, thou shalt let him go free from thee: but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear.
At the end of seven years, every man of you shall release his brother who is a Hebrew, who has been sold to you, and has served you six years. You shall let him go free from you. But your fathers didn’t listen to me, and didn’t incline their ear.
Vous, vous aviez récemment changé d'attitude et vous aviez fait ce qui est droit à mes yeux, en proclamant chacun la liberté pour son prochain. Vous aviez conclu une alliance devant moi, dans la maison sur laquelle mon nom est invoqué.
Y vosotros os habíais hoy convertido, y hecho lo recto delante de mis ojos, anunciando cada uno libertad á su prójimo; y habíais hecho concierto en mi presencia, en la casa sobre la cual es invocado mi nombre:
And ye were now turned, and had done right in my sight, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbour; and ye had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name:
You had now turned, and had done that which is right in my eyes, in every man proclaiming liberty to his neighbor. You had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name;
Mais vous avez fait volte-face et vous avez profané mon nom. Chacun de vous a fait revenir son serviteur et sa servante, que vous aviez renvoyés libres à leur gré, et vous les avez soumis pour qu'ils soient de nouveau vos serviteurs et vos servantes. »
Pero os habéis vuelto y profanado mi nombre, y habéis tornado á tomar cada uno su siervo y cada uno su sierva, que habíais dejado libres á su voluntad; y los habéis sujetado á seros siervos y siervas.
But ye turned and polluted my name, and caused every man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom ye had set at liberty at their pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be unto you for servants and for handmaids.

C'est pourquoi, ainsi parle le SEIGNEUR : « Vous ne m'avez pas obéi en proclamant la liberté, chacun pour son frère, chacun pour son prochain. Voici, je proclame pour vous la liberté, déclare le SEIGNEUR, la liberté pour l'épée, pour la peste et pour la famine ! Je ferai de vous un objet d'effroi parmi tous les royaumes de la terre.
Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová: Vosotros no me habéis oído en promulgar cada uno libertad á su hermano, y cada uno á su compañero: he aquí que yo os promulgo libertad, dice Jehová, á cuchillo y á pestilencia y á hambre; y os pondré en remoción á todos los reinos de la tierra.
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
Therefore the LORD says: “You have not listened to me, to proclaim liberty, every man to his brother, and every man to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim to you a liberty,” says the LORD, “to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine. I will make you be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth.
Je livrerai les hommes qui ont transgressé mon alliance, qui n'ont pas accompli les paroles de l'alliance qu'ils avaient conclue devant moi, lorsqu'ils ont coupé le veau en deux et qu'ils ont passé entre ses morceaux :
Y entregaré á los hombres que traspasaron mi pacto, que no han llevado á efecto las palabras del pacto que celebraron en mi presencia dividiendo en dos partes el becerro y pasando por medio de ellas:
And I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made before me, when they cut the calf in twain, and passed between the parts thereof,

les chefs de Juda et les chefs de Jérusalem, les eunuques, les prêtres et tout le peuple du pays, qui ont passé entre les morceaux du veau.
A los príncipes de Judá y á los príncipes de Jerusalem, á los eunucos y á los sacerdotes, y á todo el pueblo de la tierra, que pasaron entre las partes del becerro,
The princes of Judah, and the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs, and the priests, and all the people of the land, which passed between the parts of the calf;

Je les livrerai entre les mains de leurs ennemis et entre les mains de ceux qui en veulent à leur vie. Leurs cadavres serviront de pâture aux oiseaux du ciel et aux bêtes de la terre.
Entregarélos en mano de sus enemigos y en mano de los que buscan su alma; y sus cuerpos muertos serán para comida de las aves del cielo, y de las bestias de la tierra.
I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for meat unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth.

» Je livrerai Sédécias, roi de Juda, et ses chefs entre les mains de leurs ennemis, entre les mains de ceux qui en veulent à leur vie, et entre les mains de l'armée du roi de Babylone, qui s'est éloignée de vous.
Y á Sedechîas rey de Judá, y á sus príncipes, entregaré en mano de sus enemigos, y en mano de los que buscan su alma, y en mano del ejército del rey de Babilonia, que se fueron de vosotros.
And Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Babylon’s army, which are gone up from you.
“I will give Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes into the hands of their enemies, into the hands of those who seek their life and into the hands of the king of Babylon’s army, who has gone away from you.
Voici, j'en donnerai l'ordre, déclare le SEIGNEUR, et je les ferai revenir contre cette ville. Ils l'attaqueront, s'en empareront et la brûleront par le feu. Je ferai des villes de Juda une désolation, sans aucun habitant. »
He aquí, mandaré yo, dice Jehová, y harélos volver á esta ciudad, y pelearán contra ella, y la tomarán, y la abrasarán á fuego; y reduciré á soledad las ciudades de Judá, hasta no quedar morador.
Behold, I will command, saith the LORD, and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant.
