Und ich ging hinab in das Haus des Töpfers, und siehe, er arbeitete gerade auf seiner Scheibe.

O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

Ein andermal rede ich über ein Volk und über ein Königreich, es zu pflanzen und aufzubauen;

If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

Ahora pues habla luego á todo hombre de Judá, y á los moradores de Jerusalem, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que yo dispongo mal contra vosotros, y trazo contra vosotros designios: conviértase ahora cada uno de su mal camino, y mejorad vuestros caminos y vuestras obras.
Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.
“Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, ‘The LORD says: “Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a plan against you. Everyone return from his evil way now, and amend your ways and your doings.”’

Schwindet wohl je vom Fels des Sirjon der weisse Schnee? oder versiegen die Wasser des Ostens, die kalten, immerströmenden?
¿Faltará la nieve del Líbano de la piedra del campo? ¿faltarán las aguas frías que corren de lejanas tierras?
Will a man leave the snow of Lebanon which cometh from the rock of the field? or shall the cold flowing waters that come from another place be forsaken?

Mich aber hat mein Volk vergessen, den Götzen opfern sie. Sie sind gestrauchelt auf ihren Wegen, den Pfaden der Vorzeit, um auf ungebahnten Wegen zu wandeln, (a) Jer 3:21; 6:16

ihr Land zum Entsetzen zu machen, zum ewigen Gespötte; ein jeder, der es durchwandert, entsetzt sich und schüttelt das Haupt. (a) Jer 19:8; 49:17
Para poner su tierra en desolación, y en silbos perpetuos; todo aquel que pasare por ella se maravillará, y meneará su cabeza.

DA sprachen sie: "Auf, lasset uns Pläne schmieden wider Jeremia! denn nie wird die Weisung dem Priester ausgehen, noch der Rat dem Weisen, noch das Wort dem Propheten. Auf, lasset uns ihn mit seinen eignen Worten schlagen und aufpassen auf alle seine Rede!"
Y dijeron: Venid, y tracemos maquinaciones contra Jeremías; porque la ley no faltará del sacerdote, ni consejo del sabio, ni palabra del profeta. Venid é hirámoslo de lengua, y no miremos á todas sus palabras.
Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.
Then they said, “Come! Let’s devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law won’t perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let’s strike him with the tongue, and let’s not give heed to any of his words.”
Habe du auf mich acht, o Herr, und höre die Rede meiner Widersacher!
Oh Jehová, mira por mí, y oye la voz de los que contienden conmigo.
Give heed to me, O LORD, and hearken to the voice of them that contend with me.

Soll denn Gutes mit Bösem vergolten werden? Haben sie doch meinem Leben eine Grube gegraben. Sei eingedenk, wie ich vor dir gestanden habe, ihnen zum besten zu reden, um deinen Zorn von ihnen zu wenden. (a) Jer 14:7 19-21
¿Dase mal por bien, para que hayan cavado hoyo á mi alma? Acuérdate que me puse delante de ti para hablar bien por ellos, para apartar de ellos tu ira.

So gib nun ihre Kinder dem Hunger preis und überliefere sie in des Schwertes Gewalt! Ihre Frauen sollen der Kinder beraubt, sollen Witwen werden! ihre Männer töte die Pest, ihre Jünglinge würge das Schwert in der Schlacht!
Por tanto, entrega sus hijos á hambre, y hazlos derramar por medio de la espada; y queden sus mujeres sin hijos, y viudas; y sus maridos sean puestos á muerte, y sus jóvenes heridos á cuchillo en la guerra.
Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and pour out their blood by the force of the sword; and let their wives be bereaved of their children, and be widows; and let their men be put to death; let their young men be slain by the sword in battle.

Wehruf erschalle aus ihren Häusern, wenn du plötzlich die Raubschar über sie kommen lässt! Denn sie haben eine Grube gegraben, mich zu fangen, und Schlingen gelegt für meine Füsse.
Oigase clamor de sus casas, cuando trajeres sobre ellos ejército de repente: porque cavaron hoyo para prenderme, y á mis pies han escondido lazos.
Let a cry be heard from their houses, when thou shalt bring a troop suddenly upon them: for they have digged a pit to take me, and hid snares for my feet.

Du aber, Herr, du weisst, was sie planen, um mich zu töten. Verzeihe ihnen ihre Missetat nicht, und ihre Sünde lösche nicht aus vor deinen Augen! Sie sollen ein Anstoss bleiben vor dir; zur Zeit deines Zornes tue es ihnen an!
Mas tú, oh Jehová, conoces todo su consejo contra mí para muerte; no perdones su maldad, ni borres su pecado de delante de tu rostro: y tropiecen delante de ti; haz así con ellos en el tiempo de tu furor.
Yet, LORD, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thus with them in the time of thine anger.
Yet, LORD, you know all their counsel against me to kill me. Don’t forgive their iniquity. Don’t blot out their sin from your sight, Let them be overthrown before you. Deal with them in the time of your anger.
