18Sie sprachen: "Auf! So laßt uns gegen Jeremias Pläne schmieden! Die Lehre läßt den Priester nicht im Stich und nicht der Rat den Weisen und nicht das Wort den Seher. Auf! Laßt uns ihn für sein Gerede niederschlagen, auf keines seiner Worte achten!"

18Y dijeron: Venid, y tracemos maquinaciones contra Jeremías; porque la ley no faltará del sacerdote, ni consejo del sabio, ni palabra del profeta. Venid é hirámoslo de lengua, y no miremos á todas sus palabras.

18Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.
