Jeremías 15

1Então, Yahweh me disse: "Ainda que Moisés e Samuel estivessem diante de Mim, ainda assim Eu não seria favorável a este povo. Manda-os para longe de Mim. Que eles saiam.
2E acontecerá que eles te dirão: 'Para onde iremos?' Então, tu lhes dirás: 'Yahweh disse: Aqueles destinados à morte devem ir para a morte; aqueles destinados à espada devem ir para a espada. Aqueles destinados à fome devem ir para a fome; e aqueles destinados ao cativeiro devem ir para o cativeiro".
3Porque Eu os punirei com quatro grupos: espada para abater, cães para dilarecerar, pássaros dos céus e bestas da terra para consumir e destruir — esta é a declaração de Yahweh.
4Eu farei deles um espetáculo terrível para todos os reinos da terra, por causa de tudo que Manassés, filho de Ezequias, rei de Judá, fez em Jerusalém.
5Quem terá compaixão de ti, Jerusalém? Quem chorará por ti? Quem voltará a perguntar sobre teu bem estar?
6Tu Me abandonaste — esta é a declaração de Yahweh — tu Me deste as costas. Então, Eu te golpearei com Minha mão e te destruirei. Eu estou cansado de ter compaixão de ti.
7Então, Eu os espalharei com uma pá nos portões da terra. Eu os despojarei de seus filhos. Eu destruirei Meu povo, pois eles não deixaram os seus caminhos.
8Eu farei o número das suas viúvas maior do que a areia das praias. Contra as mães dos jovens, Eu mandarei o destruidor ao meio-dia; trarei angústia e terror repentinamente sobre eles.
9A mãe que deu à luz sete filhos enfraquecerá; ela suspirará, seu sol se escurecerá enquanto ainda é dia. Ela será envergonhada e confundida, pois Eu darei à espada aqueles que lhe restarem na presença dos seus inimigos — esta é a declaração de Yahweh".
10Ai de mim, minha mãe! Porque tu me deste à luz? Pois sou um homem de contendas e discussões diante de toda a terra. Eu não emprestei e nem tomei emprestado de ninguém, mas todos eles me amaldiçoam.
11Yahweh disse: "Eu não te resgataria para o bem? Eu, certamente, farei os teus inimigos te implorarem por socorro, no tempo da calamidade e da angústia.
12Pode alguém esmagar o ferro? Especialmente o ferro do norte que é misturado com bronze?
13Aos teus inimigos Eu darei, livremente como despojo, tua riqueza e teus tesouros. Eu farei isto por causa de todos os teus pecados cometidos dentro de tuas fronteiras.
14Então, Eu farei com que tu sirvas teus inimigos em uma terra que não conheces, porque um fogo se acenderá, arderá na Minha ira contra ti".
15Yahweh, Tu sabes! Lembra-Te de mim e socorre-me. Traz vingança para mim contra os meus perseguidores. Na Tua longanimidade, não permitas que me levem embora; sabes que sofro acusações por Tua causa.
16Encontrei Tuas palavras e as consumi. Tuas palavras tornaram-se uma alegria para mim e delícia para o meu coração, pois, sou chamado pelo Teu nome, ó Yahweh, Deus dos Exércitos.
17Não me assentei na roda daqueles que celebram e regozijam. Eu me sentei sozinho por causa da Tua mão poderosa, porque Tu me encheste de indignação.
18Por que é contínua a minha dor e minha ferida incurável, e se recusa a ser curada? Tu serás para mim como águas enganosas, águas que secam?
19Portanto, assim disse Yahweh: "Se te arrependeres, Jeremias, Eu te restaurarei e te colocarei de pé diante de Mim e tu Me servirás. Se tu separares as coisas tolas das coisas preciosas, serás Minha boca. O povo voltará a ti, mas tu mesmo não retornarás a eles.
20Eu farei de ti como um muro de bronze impenetrável para este povo, e eles farão guerra contra ti. Mas eles não te derrotarão porque Eu Sou contigo para te salvar e te resgatar.
21Eu te salvarei das mãos dos ímpios e te resgatarei da mão dos tiranos — esta é a declaração de Yahweh".

1Y DÍJOME Jehová: Si Moisés y Samuel se pusieran delante de mí, mi voluntad no será con este pueblo: échalos de delante de mí, y salgan.
2Y será que si te preguntaren: ¿A dónde saldremos? les dirás: Así ha dicho Jehová: El que á muerte, á muerte; y el que á cuchillo, á cuchillo; y el que á hambre, á hambre; y el que á cautividad, á cautividad.
3Y enviaré sobre ellos cuatro géneros, dice Jehová: cuchillo para matar, y perros para despedazar, y aves del cielo y bestias de la tierra, para devorar y para disipar.
4Y entregarélos á ser agitados por todos los reinos de la tierra, á causa de Manasés hijo de Ezechîas rey de Judá, por lo que hizo en Jerusalem.
5Porque ¿quién tendrá compasión de ti, oh Jerusalem? ¿ó quién se entristecerá por tu causa? ¿ó quién ha de venir á preguntar por tu paz?
6Tú me dejaste, dice Jehová, atrás te volviste: por tanto yo extenderé sobre ti mi mano, y te destruiré; estoy cansado de arrepentirme.
7Y aventélos con aventador hasta las puertas de la tierra; desahijé, desbaraté mi pueblo; no se tornaron de sus caminos.
8Sus viudas se me multiplicaron más que la arena de la mar; traje contra ellos destruidor á medio día sobre la madre y los hijos; sobre la ciudad hice que de repente cayesen terrores.
9Enflaquecióse la que parió siete; llenóse de dolor su alma; su sol se le puso siendo aún de día; fué avergonzada y llena de confusión: y lo que de ella quedare, entregarélo á cuchillo delante de sus enemigos, dice Jehová.
10¡Ay de mí, madre mía, que me has engendrado hombre de contienda y hombre de discordia á toda la tierra! Nunca les dí á logro, ni lo tomé de ellos; y todos me maldicen.
11Dijo Jehová: De cierto tus reliquias serán en bien; de cierto haré que el enemigo te salga á recibir en el tiempo trabajoso, y en el tiempo de angustia.
12¿Quebrará el hierro al hierro de la parte de aquilón, y al bronce?
13Tus riquezas y tus tesoros daré á saco sin ningún precio, por todos tus pecados, y en todos tus términos;
14Y te haré pasar á tus enemigos en tierra que no conoces: porque fuego se ha encendido en mi furor, y arderá sobre vosotros.
15Tú lo sabes, oh Jehová; acuérdate de mí, y visítame, y véngame de mis enemigos. No me tomes en la prolongación de tu enojo: sabes que por amor de ti sufro afrenta.
16Halláronse tus palabras, y yo las comí; y tu palabra me fué por gozo y por alegría de mi corazón: porque tu nombre se invocó sobre mí, oh Jehová Dios de los ejércitos.
17No me senté en compañía de burladores, ni me engreí á causa de tu profecía; sentéme solo, porque me llenaste de desabrimiento.
18¿Por qué fué perpetuo mi dolor, y mi herida desahuciada no admitió cura? ¿Serás para mí como cosa ilusoria, como aguas que no son estables?
19Por tanto así dijo Jehová: Si te convirtieres, yo te repondré, y delante de mí estarás; y si sacares lo precioso de lo vil, serás como mi boca. Conviértanse ellos á ti, y tú no te conviertas á ellos.
20Y te daré para este pueblo por fuerte muro de bronce, y pelearán contra ti, y no te vencerán: porque yo estoy contigo para guardarte y para defenderte, dice Jehová.
21Y librarte he de la mano de los malos, y te redimiré de la mano de los fuertes.

1Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.
2And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.
3And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.
4And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
5For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest?
6Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.
7And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people, since they return not from their ways.
8Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city.
9She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the LORD.
10Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.
11The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
12Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?
13Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.
14And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.
15O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.
16Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
17I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.
18Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?
19Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.
20And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
21And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.

1Then the LORD said to me, “Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not turn toward this people. Cast them out of my sight, and let them go out!
2It will happen when they ask you, ‘Where shall we go out?’ then you shall tell them, ‘The LORD says: “Such as are for death, to death; such as are for the sword, to the sword; such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.”’
3“I will appoint over them four kinds,” says the LORD: “the sword to kill, the dogs to tear, the birds of the sky, and the animals of the earth, to devour and to destroy.
4I will cause them to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
5For who will have pity on you, Jerusalem? Who will mourn you? Who will come to ask of your welfare?
6You have rejected me,” says the LORD. “You have gone backward. Therefore I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you. I am weary of showing compassion.
7I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land. I have bereaved them of children. I have destroyed my people. They didn’t return from their ways.
8Their widows are increased more than the sand of the seas. I have brought on them against the mother of the young men a destroyer at noonday. I have caused anguish and terrors to fall on her suddenly.

11The LORD said, “Most certainly I will strengthen you for good. Most certainly I will cause the enemy to make supplication to you in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
12Can one break iron, even iron from the north, and bronze?
13I will give your substance and your treasures for a plunder without price, and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.
14I will make them to pass with your enemies into a land which you don’t know; for a fire is kindled in my anger, which will burn on you.”
15LORD, you know. Remember me, visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors. You are patient, so don’t take me away. Know that for your sake I have suffered reproach.
16Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by your name, LORD, God of Armies.
17I didn’t sit in the assembly of those who make merry and rejoice. I sat alone because of your hand, for you have filled me with indignation.
18Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Will you indeed be to me as a deceitful brook, like waters that fail?
19Therefore the LORD says, “If you return, then I will bring you again, that you may stand before me; and if you take out the precious from the vile, you will be as my mouth. They will return to you, but you will not return to them.
20I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall. They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you and to deliver you,” says the LORD.
21“I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.”
