DIE Israeliten aber taten, was dem Herrn missfiel. Da gab sie der Herr in die Hand der Midianiter, sieben Jahre lang.

MAS los hijos de Israel hicieron lo malo en los ojos de Jehová; y Jehová los entregó en las manos de Madián por siete años.

And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.

The children of Israel did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight, so the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.

Und da die Hand der Midianiter schwer auf Israel lastete, machten sich die Israeliten zum Schutze vor den Midianitern die Schlupfwinkel in den Bergen, die Höhlen und Burgen.

Y la mano de Madián prevaleció contra Israel. Y los hijos de Israel, por causa de los Madianitas, se hicieron cuevas en los montes, y cavernas, y lugares fuertes.

And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.

Und sooft die Israeliten gesät hatten, zogen die Midianiter und die Amalekiter und die aus dem Osten wider sie heran,

griffen sie an und vernichteten den Ertrag des Landes bis gegen Gaza hin und liessen keine Lebensmittel übrig in Israel, auch keine Schafe, Rinder und Esel.

Y asentando campo contra ellos destruían los frutos de la tierra, hasta llegar á Gaza; y no dejaban qué comer en Israel, ni ovejas, ni bueyes, ni asnos.

And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.

Denn wenn sie mit ihren Herden und Zelten heranzogen, kamen sie so massenhaft wie Heuschrecken; sie selbst und ihre Kamele waren nicht zu zählen, und sie fielen ins Land ein, um es zu verheeren.

For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.

So wurde Israel durch die Midianiter sehr geschwächt. Da schrieen die Israeliten zum Herrn.

Era pues Israel en gran manera empobrecido por los Madianitas; y los hijos de Israel clamaron á Jehová.

And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.

Als nun die Israeliten wegen der Midianiter zum Herrn schrieen,

Y cuando los hijos de Israel hubieron clamado á Jehová, á causa de los Madianitas,

And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD because of the Midianites,

When the children of Israel cried to the LORD because of Midian,

sandte der Herr einen Propheten zu den Israeliten, der sprach zu ihnen: So spricht der Herr, der Gott Israels: Ich habe euch aus Ägypten heraufgebracht und euch aus dem Sklavenhause herausgeführt;

Jehová envió un varón profeta á los hijos de Israel, el cual les dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel: Yo os hice salir de Egipto, y os saqué de la casa de servidumbre:

That the LORD sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;

The LORD sent a prophet to the children of Israel; and he said to them, “The LORD, the God of Israel, says, ‘I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you out of the house of bondage.

ich habe euch errettet aus der Hand der Ägypter und aus der Hand all eurer Bedränger und habe sie vor euch vertrieben und euch ihr Land gegeben.

Yo os libré de mano de los Egipcios, y de mano de todos los que os afligieron, á los cuales eché de delante de vosotros, y os dí su tierra;

And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;

Und ich sprach zu euch: "Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott; verehret nicht die Götter der Amoriter, in deren Land ihr wohnt." Aber ihr habt nicht auf mich gehört.

Y díjeos: Yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios; no temáis á los dioses de los Amorrheos, en cuya tierra habitáis: mas no habéis obedecido á mi voz.

And I said unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.

I said to you, “I am the LORD your God. You shall not fear the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell.” But you have not listened to my voice.’”

Einst kam der Engel des Herrn und setzte sich unter die Terebinthe des Abiesriten Joas zu Ophra, während dessen Sohn Gideon in der Kelter Weizen ausklopfte, um ihn vor den Midianitern in Sicherheit zu bringen.

Y vino el ángel de Jehová, y sentóse debajo del alcornoque que está en Ophra, el cual era de Joas Abiezerita; y su hijo Gedeón estaba sacudiendo el trigo en el lagar, para hacerlo esconder de los Madianitas.

And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abi-ezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.

The LORD’s angel came and sat under the oak which was in Ophrah, that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite. His son Gideon was beating out wheat in the wine press, to hide it from the Midianites.

Da erschien ihm der Engel des Herrn und sprach zu ihm: Der Herr ist mit dir, du starker Held!

Y el ángel de Jehová se le apareció, y díjole: Jehová es contigo, varón esforzado.

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

The LORD’s angel appeared to him, and said to him, “The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

Gideon aber sprach zu ihm: Ach, mein Herr! Ist der Herr mit uns, warum ist uns dann all das widerfahren? Und wo sind alle seine Wunder, von denen uns unsre Väter erzählten, indem sie sprachen: "Der Herr hat uns doch aus Ägypten heraufgeführt"? Nun aber hat uns der Herr verstossen und in die Hand der Midianiter gegeben.

Y Gedeón le respondió: Ah, Señor mío, si Jehová es con nosotros, ¿por qué nos ha sobrevenido todo esto? ¿Y dónde están todas sus maravillas, que nuestros padres nos han contado, diciendo: ¿No nos sacó Jehová de Egipto? Y ahora Jehová nos ha desamparado, y nos ha entregado en mano de los Madianitas.

And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

Gideon said to him, “Oh, my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? Where are all his wondrous works which our fathers told us of, saying, ‘Didn’t the LORD bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the LORD has cast us off, and delivered us into the hand of Midian.”

Da wandte sich der Herr zu ihm und sprach: Gehe hin in dieser deiner Kraft, und du wirst Israel aus der Hand der Midianiter erretten. Fürwahr, ich sende dich.

Y mirándole Jehová, díjole: Ve con esta tu fortaleza, y salvarás á Israel de la mano de los Madianitas. ¿No te envío yo?

And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?

The LORD looked at him, and said, “Go in this your might, and save Israel from the hand of Midian. Haven’t I sent you?”

Er aber sprach zu ihm: Ach, mein Herr, womit soll ich Israel erretten? Sieh, mein Geschlecht ist ja das geringste in Manasse, und ich bin der Jüngste in meines Vaters Hause. (a) 2Mo 3:11

Entonces le respondió: Ah, Señor mío, ¿con qué tengo de salvar á Israel? He aquí que mi familia es pobre en Manasés, y yo el menor en la casa de mi padre.

And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.

He said to him, “O Lord, how shall I save Israel? Behold, my family is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”

Da sprach der Herr zu ihm: Wenn ich mit dir bin, wirst du die Midianiter schlagen wie einen Mann.

Y Jehová le dijo: Porque yo seré contigo, y herirás á los Madianitas como á un solo hombre.

And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

The LORD said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall strike the Midianites as one man.”

Er aber sprach zu ihm: Habe ich Gnade vor dir gefunden, so gib mir ein Zeichen, dass du es bist, der mit mir redet.

Y él respondió: Yo te ruego, que si he hallado gracia delante de ti, me des señal de que tú has hablado conmigo.

And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.

He said to him, “If now I have found favor in your sight, then show me a sign that it is you who talk with me.

Geh doch nicht von dannen, bis ich wieder zu dir komme und meine Gabe herausbringe und sie vor dir niederlege. Er sprach: Ich will bleiben, bis du wiederkommst.

Ruégote que no te vayas de aquí, hasta que á ti vuelva, y saque mi presente, y lo ponga delante de ti. Y él respondió: Yo esperaré hasta que vuelvas.

Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set it before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again.

Please don’t go away until I come to you, and bring out my present, and lay it before you.” He said, “I will wait until you come back.”

Und Gideon ging hinein und rüstete ein Ziegenböcklein zu und ungesäuertes Brot von einem Epha Mehl; das Fleisch legte er in einen Korb, und die Brühe tat er in einen Topf und trug es zu ihm hinaus unter die Terebinthe. Und als er herzutrat,

Y entrándose Gedeón aderezó un cabrito, y panes sin levadura de un epha de harina; y puso la carne en un canastillo, y el caldo en una olla, y sacándolo presentóselo debajo de aquel alcornoque.

And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.

Gideon went in and prepared a young goat and unleavened cakes of an ephah of meal. He put the meat in a basket and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out to him under the oak, and presented it.

sprach der Engel Gottes zu ihm: Nimm das Fleisch und das ungesäuerte Brot und lege es hier auf diesen Felsen und giesse die Brühe darüber. Und er tat es.

Y el ángel de Dios le dijo: Toma la carne, y los panes sin levadura, y ponlo sobre esta peña, y vierte el caldo. Y él lo hizo así.

And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.

The angel of God said to him, “Take the meat and the unleavened cakes, and lay them on this rock, and pour out the broth.” He did so.

Nun streckte der Engel des Herrn den Stab aus, den er in der Hand hatte, und berührte mit der Spitze das Fleisch und das ungesäuerte Brot. Da schlug Feuer aus dem Felsen und verzehrte das Fleisch und das ungesäuerte Brot. Der Engel des Herrn aber war seinen Augen entschwunden. (a) 3Mo 9:24; 1Kön 18:38

Y extendiendo el ángel de Jehová el bordón que tenía en su mano, tocó con la punta en la carne y en los panes sin levadura; y subió fuego de la peña, el cual consumió la carne y los panes sin levadura. Y el ángel de Jehová desapareció de delante de él.

Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight.

Then the LORD’s angel stretched out the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened cakes; and fire went up out of the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened cakes. Then the LORD’s angel departed out of his sight.

Als Gideon sah, dass es der Engel des Herrn war, sprach er: Wehe, Herr, mein Gott, dass ich den Engel des Herrn von Angesicht zu Angesicht geschaut habe! (a) Ri 13:22; 2Mo 33:20; Jes 6:5

Y viendo Gedeón que era el ángel de Jehová, dijo: Ah, Señor Jehová, que he visto el ángel de Jehová cara á cara.

And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.

Gideon saw that he was the LORD’s angel; and Gideon said, “Alas, Lord GOD! Because I have seen the LORD’s angel face to face!”

Aber der Herr sprach zu ihm: Heil dir! Fürchte dich nicht, du wirst nicht sterben.

Y Jehová le dijo: Paz á ti; no tengas temor, no morirás.

And the LORD said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.

The LORD said to him, “Peace be to you! Don’t be afraid. You shall not die.”

Da baute Gideon dort dem Herrn einen Altar und nannte ihn "der Herr ist Heil". Der steht bis auf den heutigen Tag im abiesritischen Ophra.

Y edificó allí Gedeón altar á Jehová, al que llamó Jehová-salom: está hasta hoy en Ophra de los Abiezeritas.

Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovah-shalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abi-ezrites.

Then Gideon built an altar there to the LORD, and called it “The LORD is Peace.” To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

In jener Nacht aber sprach der Herr zu ihm: Nimm zehn Mann aus deinen Knechten und einen siebenjährigen Stier und reisse den Baalsaltar deines Vaters ein, und auch die Aschera, die daneben steht, sollst du umhauen.

Y aconteció que la misma noche le dijo Jehová: Toma un toro del hato de tu padre, y otro toro de siete años, y derriba el altar de Baal que tu padre tiene, y corta también el bosque que está junto á él:

And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father’s young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:

That same night, the LORD said to him, “Take your father’s bull, even the second bull seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the Asherah that is by it.

Dann erbaue dem Herrn, deinem Gott, oben auf der Höhe dieser Bergfeste einen Altar mit den geschichteten Steinen und nimm den Stier und bringe ein Brandopfer dar mit dem Holz der Aschera, die du umhauen sollst. (a) 2Mo 20:24

Y edifica altar á Jehová tu Dios en la cumbre de este peñasco en lugar conveniente; y tomando el segundo toro, sacrifícalo en holocausto sobre la leña del bosque que habrás cortado.

And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.

Then build an altar to the LORD your God on the top of this stronghold, in an orderly way, and take the second bull, and offer a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah which you shall cut down.”

Da nahm Gideon zehn Mann aus seinen Knechten und tat, wie ihm der Herr gesagt hatte; weil er aber aus Furcht vor seiner Familie und den Leuten der Stadt nicht wagte, es bei Tage zu tun, tat er es bei Nacht.

Entonces Gedeón tomó diez hombres de sus siervos, é hizo como Jehová le dijo. Mas temiendo hacerlo de día, por la familia de su padre y por los hombres de la ciudad, hízolo de noche.

Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father’s household, and the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.

Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had spoken to him. Because he feared his father’s household and the men of the city, he could not do it by day, but he did it by night.

Am andern Morgen in der Frühe nun fanden die Leute der Stadt den Altar Baals niedergerissen und die Aschera daneben umgehauen; auf dem neuerbauten Altar aber war ein Stier geopfert worden.

Y á la mañana, cuando los de la ciudad se levantaron, he aquí que el altar de Baal estaba derribado, y cortado el bosque que junto á él estaba, y sacrificado aquel segundo toro en holocausto sobre el altar edificado.

And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.

When the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was broken down, and the Asherah was cut down that was by it, and the second bull was offered on the altar that was built.

Da sprachen sie zueinander: Wer hat das getan? Und als sie so fragten und forschten, hiess es: Gideon, der Sohn des Joas, hat das getan.

Y decíanse unos á otros: ¿Quién ha hecho esto? Y buscando é inquiriendo, dijéronles: Gedeón hijo de Joas lo ha hecho. Entonces los hombres de la ciudad dijeron á Joas:

And they said one to another, Who hath done this thing? And when they enquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash hath done this thing.

They said to one another, “Who has done this thing?” When they inquired and asked, they said, “Gideon the son of Joash has done this thing.”

Nun sprachen die Leute der Stadt zu Joas: Gib deinen Sohn heraus, er muss sterben; denn er hat den Altar Baals niedergerissen und die Aschera daneben umgehauen.

Saca fuera tu hijo para que muera, por cuanto ha derribado el altar de Baal y ha cortado el bosque que junto á él estaba.

Then the men of the city said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he may die: because he hath cast down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the grove that was by it.

Then the men of the city said to Joash, “Bring out your son, that he may die, because he has broken down the altar of Baal, and because he has cut down the Asherah that was by it.”

Joas aber sprach zu allen, die um ihn her standen: Wollt ihr für Baal streiten? oder wollt ihr ihm helfen? Wer für ihn streitet, der soll noch vor dem Morgen getötet werden. Ist er ein Gott, so streite er für sich selbst, weil man seinen Altar niedergerissen hat.

Y Joas respondió á todos los que estaban junto á él: ¿Tomaréis vosotros la demanda por Baal? ¿le salvaréis vosotros? Cualquiera que tomare la demanda por él, que muera mañana. Si es Dios, contienda por sí mismo con el que derribó su altar.

And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because one hath cast down his altar.

Joash said to all who stood against him, “Will you contend for Baal? Or will you save him? He who will contend for him, let him be put to death by morning! If he is a god, let him contend for himself, because someone has broken down his altar!”

An jenem Tage gab man ihm den Namen Jerubbaal, womit man sagen wollte: Baal streite wider ihn, weil er seinen Altar niedergerissen hat.

Y aquel día llamó él á Gedeón Jerobaal; porque dijo: Pleitee Baal contra el que derribó su altar.

Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him, because he hath thrown down his altar.

Therefore on that day he named him Jerub-Baal, saying, “Let Baal contend against him, because he has broken down his altar.”

Sobald nun die Midianiter und die Amalekiter und die aus dem Osten sich alle zusammenscharten und herüberkamen und sich in der Ebene Jesreel lagerten,

Y todos los Madianitas, y Amalecitas, y orientales, se juntaron á una, y pasando asentaron campo en el valle de Jezreel.

Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east were gathered together, and went over, and pitched in the valley of Jezreel.

Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east assembled themselves together; and they passed over, and encamped in the valley of Jezreel.

da kam auch schon der Geist des Herrn über Gideon, sodass er in die Posaune stiess; die Abiesriten aber folgten seinem Aufgebot.

Y el espíritu de Jehová se envistió en Gedeón, y como éste hubo tocado el cuerno, Abiezer se juntó con él.

But the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abi-ezer was gathered after him.

But the LORD’s Spirit came on Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abiezer was gathered together to follow him.

Und er sandte Boten in ganz Manasse umher, und auch sie folgten seinem Aufgebot; ebenso sandte er Boten zu Asser, Sebulon und Naphthali, und sie stiessen gleichfalls zu ihnen.

Y envió mensajeros por todo Manasés, el cual también se juntó con él: asimismo envió mensajeros á Aser, y á Zabulón, y á Nephtalí, los cuales salieron á encontrarles.

And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; who also was gathered after him: and he sent messengers unto Asher, and unto Zebulun, and unto Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.

Da sprach Gideon zu Gott: Wenn du Israel durch meine Hand erretten willst, wie du verheissen hast -

Y Gedeón dijo á Dios: Si has de salvar á Israel por mi mano, como has dicho,

And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,

Gideon said to God, “If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have spoken,

nun denn, ich lege da einen Haufen Wolle auf die Tenne: fällt dann bloss auf die Wolle Tau, während der Boden ringsum trocken bleibt, so weiss ich, dass du Israel durch meine Hand erretten willst, wie du verheissen hast.

He aquí que yo pondré un vellón de lana en la era; y si el rocío estuviere en el vellón solamente, quedando seca toda la otra tierra, entonces entenderé que has de salvar á Israel por mi mano, como lo has dicho.

Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.

behold, I will put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then I’ll know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have spoken.”

Und so geschah es: als er am andern Morgen früh die Wolle ausdrückte, presste er aus der Wolle eine ganze Schale voll Tauwasser.

Y aconteció así: porque como se levantó de mañana, exprimiendo el vellón sacó de él el rocío, un vaso lleno de agua.

And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.

It was so; for he rose up early on the next day, and pressed the fleece together, and wrung the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.

Und Gideon sprach zu Gott: Dein Zorn entbrenne nicht wider mich, wenn ich noch einmal rede; ich möchte es nur noch diesmal mit der Wolle versuchen: die Wolle allein soll trocken bleiben, während auf den Boden ringsum Tau fällt.

Mas Gedeón dijo á Dios: No se encienda tu ira contra mí, si aun hablare esta vez: solamente probaré ahora otra vez con el vellón. Ruégote que la sequedad sea sólo en el vellón, y el rocío sobre la tierra.

And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.

Gideon said to God, “Don’t let your anger be kindled against me, and I will speak but this once. Please let me make a trial just this once with the fleece. Let it now be dry only on the fleece, and on all the ground let there be dew.”

Und Gott fügte es so in jener Nacht: die Wolle allein blieb trocken, während auf dem Boden ringsum Tau lag.
