33A tribo de Naftali não expulsou os habitantes de Bete-Semes, ou os habitantes de Bete-Anate. Assim, a tribo de Naftali viveu entre os cananeus (aqueles que habitavam a terra). No entanto, os habitantes de Bete-Semes e Bete-Anate foram submetidos a trabalhos forçados para o povo de Naftali.

33Neither did Naphtali drive out the inhabitants of Beth-shemesh, nor the inhabitants of Beth-anath; but he dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land: nevertheless the inhabitants of Beth-shemesh and of Beth-anath became tributaries unto them.
