1So spricht der HERR: Der Himmel ist mein Thron und die Erde meiner Füße Schemel! Was für ein Haus wollt ihr mir denn bauen? Oder wo ist der Ort, da ich ruhen soll?
2Hat doch meine Hand das alles gemacht, und so ist dies alles geworden, spricht der HERR. Ich will aber den ansehen, der gebeugten und niedergeschlagenen Geistes ist und der zittert ob meinem Wort.
3Wer einen Ochsen schächtet ist wie einer, der einen Menschen erschlägt; wer ein Schaf opfert ist wie einer, der einen Hund erwürgt; wer Speisopfer darbringt ist wie einer, der Schweineblut opfert; wer Weihrauch anzündet ist wie einer, der einen Götzen verehrt, sie alle erwählen ihre eigenen Wege, und ihre Seele hat Wohlgefallen an ihren Greueln.
4Darum will auch ich erwählen, was sie verabscheuen, und über sie bringen, was sie fürchten; denn als ich rief, gab mir niemand Antwort; als ich redete, wollten sie nicht hören, sondern taten, was in meinen Augen böse ist, und erwählten, was mir nicht gefiel!
5Höret das Wort des HERRN, ihr, die ihr vor seinem Wort erzittert: Es höhnen eure Brüder, die euch hassen und euch verstoßen um meines Namens willen: «Wird der HERR bald zu Ehren kommen, daß wir eure Freude sehen?» Aber sie werden sich schämen müssen!
6Eine Stimme des Getümmels erschallt von der Stadt her, eine Stimme vom Tempel! Das ist die Stimme des HERRN, der seinen Feinden bezahlt, was sie verdienen!
7Ehe sie Wehen empfand, hat sie geboren; bevor die Kindesnot sie ankam, ist sie eines Knaben genesen!
8Wer hat je so etwas gehört? Wer hat dergleichen gesehen? Ward je ein Land an einem Tage zur Welt gebracht? Ist je ein Volk auf einmal geboren worden, wie Zion in Wehen gekommen ist und zugleich ihre Kinder geboren hat?
9Sollte ich bis zur Geburt bringen und doch nicht gebären lassen? spricht der HERR; sollte ich, der ich gebären lasse, die Geburt verhindern? spricht dein Gott.
10Freuet euch mit Jerusalem und frohlocket über sie, ihr alle, die ihr sie liebet; teilet nun auch ihre Freude mit ihr, ihr alle, die ihr euch um sie betrübt habt,
11indem ihr euch satt trinket an ihrer tröstenden Brust, indem ihr euch in vollen Zügen erlabet an der Fülle ihrer Herrlichkeit!
12Denn also spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich will den Frieden zu ihr hinleiten wie einen Strom und die Herrlichkeit der Heiden wie einen überfließenden Bach; und ihr sollt gestillt werden. Man wird euch auf den Armen tragen und auf den Knien liebkosen.
13Wie nur eine Mutter trösten kann, so will ich euch trösten; ja, ihr sollt in Jerusalem getröstet werden!
14Und wenn ihr solches sehet, wird euer Herz sich freuen, und eure Gebeine werden sprossen wie grünes Gras. Also wird die Hand des HERRN erkannt werden an seinen Knechten, sein Zorn aber an seinen Feinden.
15Denn siehe, der HERR wird im Feuer kommen und seine Wagen wie der Sturmwind, daß er seinen Zorn in Glut verwandle und seine Drohungen in Feuerflammen.
16Denn mit Feuer wird der HERR richten und mit seinem Schwert alles Fleisch; und der vom HERRN Erschlagenen wird eine große Menge sein.
17Die sich heiligen und reinigen für die Gärten, hinter einem andern her, inmitten derer, welche Schweinefleisch, Mäuse und andere Greuel essen, allzumal sollen sie weggerafft werden, spricht der HERR.
18Wenn aber ihre Werke und Pläne zustande gekommen sind und ich alle Nationen und Zungen zusammenbringen werde, so sollen sie kommen und meine Herrlichkeit sehen.
19Und ich will ein Zeichen an ihnen tun und aus ihrer Mitte Gerettete entsenden zu den Heiden nach Tarsis, Phul und Lud, zu den Bogenschützen gen Tubal und Javan, nach den fernen Inseln, die noch keine Kunde von mir erhalten und meine Herrlichkeit nicht gesehen haben; sie sollen meine Herrlichkeit unter den Heiden verkündigen.
20Und sie werden alle eure Brüder aus allen Nationen dem HERRN zur Gabe herbeibringen auf Pferden und auf Wagen und in Sänften, auf Maultieren und Dromedaren, zu meinem heiligen Berg, gen Jerusalem, spricht der HERR, gleichwie die Kinder Israel das Speisopfer in reinem Gefäß zum Hause des HERRN bringen.
21Und ich werde auch von ihnen welche zu Priestern und Leviten nehmen, spricht der HERR.
22Denn gleichwie der neue Himmel und die neue Erde, die ich mache, vor meinem Angesicht bleiben werden, spricht der HERR, so soll auch euer Same und euer Name bestehen bleiben.
23Und es wird dahin kommen, daß an jedem Neumond und an jedem Sabbat alles Fleisch sich einfinden wird, um vor mir anzubeten, spricht der HERR.
24Und man wird hinausgehen und die Leichname der Leute anschauen, die von mir abgefallen sind; denn ihr Wurm wird nicht sterben und ihr Feuer nicht erlöschen; und sie werden ein Abscheu sein für alles Fleisch.

1JEHOVÁ dijo así: El cielo es mi solio, y la tierra estrado de mis pies: ¿dónde está la casa que me habréis de edificar, y dónde este lugar de mi reposo?
2Mi mano hizo todas estas cosas, y así todas estas cosas fueron, dice Jehová: mas á aquél miraré que es pobre y humilde de espíritu, y que tiembla á mi palabra.
3El que sacrifica buey, como si matase un hombre; el que sacrifica oveja, como si degollase un perro; el que ofrece presente, como si ofreciese sangre de puerco; el que ofrece perfume, como si bendijese á un ídolo. Y pues escogieron sus caminos, y su alma amó sus abominaciones,
4También yo escogeré sus escarnios, y traeré sobre ellos lo que temieron; porque llamé, y nadie respondió; hablé, y no oyeron; antes hicieron lo malo delante de mis ojos, y escogieron lo que á mí desagrada.
5Oid palabra de Jehová, vosotros los que tembláis á su palabra: Vuestros hermanos los que os aborrecen, y os niegan por causa de mi nombre, dijeron: Glorifíquese Jehová. Mas él se mostrará con alegría vuestra, y ellos serán confundidos.
6Voz de alboroto de la ciudad, voz del templo, voz de Jehová que da el pago á sus enemigos.
7Antes que estuviese de parto, parió; antes que le viniesen dolores parió hijo.
8¿Quién oyó cosa semejante? ¿quién vió cosa tal? ¿parirá la tierra en un día? ¿nacerá una nación de una vez? Pues en cuanto Sión estuvo de parto, parió sus hijos.
9¿Yo que hago parir, no pariré? dijo Jehová. ¿Yo que hago engendrar, seré detenido? dice el Dios tuyo.
10Alegraos con Jerusalem, y gozaos con ella, todos los que la amáis: llenaos con ella de gozo, todos los que os enlutáis por ella:
11Para que maméis y os saciéis de los pechos de sus consolaciones; para que ordeñéis, y os deleitéis con el resplandor de su gloria.
12Porque así dice Jehová: He aquí que yo extiendo sobre ella paz como un río, y la gloria de las gentes como un arroyo que sale de madre; y mamaréis, y sobre el lado seréis traídos, y sobre las rodillas seréis regalados.
13Como aquel á quien consuela su madre, así os consolaré yo á vosotros, y en Jerusalem tomaréis consuelo.
14Y veréis, y alegraráse vuestro corazón, y vuestros huesos reverdecerán como la hierba: y la mano de Jehová para con sus siervos será conocida, y se airará contra sus enemigos.
15Porque he aquí que Jehová vendrá con fuego, y sus carros como torbellino, para tornar su ira en furor, y su reprensión en llama de fuego.
16Porque Jehová juzgará con fuego y con su espada á toda carne: y los muertos de Jehová serán multiplicados.
17Los que se santifican y los que se purifican en los huertos, unos tras otros, los que comen carne de puerco, y abominación, y ratón; juntamente serán talados, dice Jehová.
18Porque yo entiendo sus obras y sus pensamientos: tiempo vendrá para juntar todas las gentes y lenguas; y vendrán, y verán mi gloria.
19Y pondré entre ellos señal, y enviaré de los escapados de ellos á las gentes, á Tarsis, á Pul y Lud, que disparan arco, á Tubal y á Javán, á las islas apartadas que no oyeron de mí, ni vieron mi gloria; y publicarán mi gloria entre las gentes.
20Y traerán á todos vuestros hermanos de entre todas las naciones, por presente á Jehová, en caballos, en carros, en literas, y en mulos, y en camellos, á mi santo monte de Jerusalem, dice Jehová, al modo que los hijos de Israel traen el presente en vasos limpios á la casa de Jehová.
21Y tomaré también de ellos para sacerdotes y Levitas, dice Jehová.
22Porque como los cielos nuevos y la nueva tierra, que yo hago, permanecen delante de mí, dice Jehová, así permanecerá vuestra simiente y vuestro nombre.
23Y será que de mes en mes, y de sábado en sábado, vendrá toda carne á adorar delante de mí, dijo Jehová.
24Y saldrán, y verán los cadáveres de los hombres que se rebelaron contra mí: porque su gusano nunca morirá, ni su fuego se apagará; y serán abominables á toda carne.

1Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
2For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
3He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
4I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
5Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
6A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.
7Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
8Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
9Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.
10Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
11That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
12For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
13As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
14And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
15For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
17They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
18For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
19And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
20And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
21And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.
22For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

1The LORD says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build to me? Where will I rest?
2For my hand has made all these things, and so all these things came to be,” says the LORD: “but I will look to this man, even to he who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.
3He who kills an ox is as he who kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, as he who breaks a dog’s neck; he who offers an offering, as he who offers pig’s blood; he who burns frankincense, as he who blesses an idol. Yes, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.
4I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears on them, because when I called, no one answered; when I spoke, they didn’t listen, but they did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I didn’t delight.”
5Hear the LORD’s word, you who tremble at his word: “Your brothers who hate you, who cast you out for my name’s sake, have said, ‘Let the LORD be glorified, that we may see your joy;’ but it is those who shall be disappointed.
6A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that repays his enemies what they deserve.

11that you may nurse and be satisfied at the comforting breasts; that you may drink deeply, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.”
12For the LORD says, “Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream, and you will nurse. You will be carried on her side, and will be dandled on her knees.
13As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you. You will be comforted in Jerusalem.”
14You will see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones will flourish like the tender grass. The LORD’s hand will be known among his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.
15For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and his chariots will be like the whirlwind; to give his anger with fierceness, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16For the LORD will execute judgment by fire and by his sword on all flesh; and those slain by the LORD will be many.
17“Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves to go to the gardens, following one in the middle, eating pig’s meat, abominable things, and the mouse, they shall come to an end together,” says the LORD.
18“For I know their works and their thoughts. The time comes that I will gather all nations and languages, and they will come, and will see my glory.
19“I will set a sign among them, and I will send those who escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to far-away islands, who have not heard my fame, nor have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.
