Isaías 66

1“O céu é o meu trono, e a terra o tapete para os meus pés. Que tipo de casa vocês poderiam construir para mim? É este o meu lugar de descanso?
2Não foram as minhas mãos que fizeram todas essas coisas, e assim vieram a existir?”, diz o Senhor. “A pessoa que me agrada é humilde de coração, se arrepende e treme diante da minha palavra.
3Mas aquele que sacrificar um boi sobre o altar é como quem mata uma pessoa. Se trouxer um cordeiro, é como se estivesse oferecendo um cão. Aquele que traz uma oferta de cereais é como quem apresenta o sangue de um porco no altar de Deus! Aquele que queima incenso é como quem adora um ídolo. Essas pessoas escolheram os seus caminhos e têm prazer nos seus pecados.
4Eu mesmo escolherei o castigo para essa gente. Farei acontecer com eles exatamente o que mais temem! Pois quando eu os chamei, ninguém respondeu; quando eu falei, eles não quiseram ouvir. Em vez disso, fizeram o que eu considero errado e escolheram exatamente aquilo que me desagrada”.
5Ouçam o que o Senhor diz a vocês que respeitam e obedecem às suas palavras: “Os seus irmãos, que os odeiam e os expulsam por causa do amor que vocês têm por mim, serão confundidos! Essa gente que zomba de vocês, dizendo: ‘Onde está a glória de Deus? Onde está a sua alegria?’, será envergonhada.
6Que barulho é esse? Que confusão é essa na cidade, essa agitação no templo? É a voz do Senhor: Ele está se vingando de seus inimigos.
7“Será que uma mulher dá à luz antes de sentir dores de parto? Será que pode dar à luz um filho antes de lhe sobrevirem as dores?
8Alguém já ouviu alguma coisa parecida com isso? Alguém já viu algo tão estranho assim? Pode uma nação nascer em um único dia, de repente, ou pode-se dar à luz um povo num instante? Mas é isso mesmo que aconteceu com Sião: assim que sentiu dores de parto, ela deu à luz os seus filhos, e surgiu a nova nação.
9Por acaso faço chegar a hora do parto e não faço nascer? Por acaso fecho o ventre, sendo que eu faço dar à luz? Não, nunca!”, diz o seu Deus.
10“Alegrem-se com Jerusalém, alegrem-se por ela, todos vocês que a amam! Cantem de alegria com ela, todos vocês que choraram quando ela foi destruída.
11Alimentem-se da glória que ela tem, tomem para si toda a alegria de Jerusalém, como uma criancinha mama no seio de sua mãe e mata a sua fome.
12A paz transbordará sobre Jerusalém como um rio”, diz o Senhor. “Darei a ela todas as riquezas das nações, como se fossem um rio que transborda. Vocês, os filhos de Israel, serão amamentados por ela, levados ao colo e acalentados em seus joelhos.
13Eu mesmo vou consolar vocês, em Jerusalém, como uma mãe consola seu filho”.
14Quando vocês virem este acontecimento, o seu coração saltará de alegria; suas forças vão se renovar como uma planta que cresce viçosa. Todos os servos do Senhor reconhecerão o seu poder, mas ele mostrará a sua ira contra os seus inimigos.
15Atenção! O Senhor virá com fogo e os seus velozes carros de guerra são como um turbilhão! Ele vai derramar a fúria de sua ira e castigar com chamas de fogo.
16O Senhor castigará a terra com fogo e com a sua espada, e muitos, em todo o mundo, vão ser mortos pela mão do Senhor.
17“Os que adoram falsos deuses escondidos em jardins e comem carne de porco, de ratos e outras comidas proibidas serão completamente destruídos”, declara o Senhor.
18“Eu conheço muito bem os seus atos e suas conspirações. Vou reunir todas as nações e todos os povos. Eles virão e verão o brilho da minha glória!
19Então estabelecerei um sinal da minha autoridade entre as nações. Os homens que escaparem do meu julgamento serão enviados como meus mensageiros aos povos distantes: a Társis, a Pul e aos lídios, países onde há ótimos flecheiros, a Tubal, à Grécia e até às terras mais distantes do mundo, que nunca ouviram falar de mim, nem viram a minha glória. Eles anunciarão a minha glória aos povos.
20De todos os povos, eles trarão de volta os seus irmãos ao meu santo monte em Jerusalém como uma oferta ao Senhor. Estes serão trazidos para Jerusalém sobre cavalos, jumentos, camelos, em carros e carroças”, diz o Senhor. “Esses seus patrícios serão como as ofertas de cereais, levadas ao templo nos vasos sagrados durante a época da colheita. Essa é a promessa do Senhor.
21Eu escolherei alguns desses israelitas para serem sacerdotes e levitas”, diz o Senhor.
22“Porque, assim como os novos céus e a nova terra que eu vou criar serão eternos, vocês serão o meu povo para todo o sempre, com um nome que nunca se apagará.
23De uma lua a outra e de um sábado a outro, toda a humanidade virá e se inclinará diante de mim”, diz o Senhor.
24“E todos verão os cadáveres daqueles que se rebelaram contra mim. O seu verme nunca morre, o seu fogo nunca se apaga. Eles causarão repugnância a toda a humanidade”.

1JEHOVÁ dijo así: El cielo es mi solio, y la tierra estrado de mis pies: ¿dónde está la casa que me habréis de edificar, y dónde este lugar de mi reposo?
2Mi mano hizo todas estas cosas, y así todas estas cosas fueron, dice Jehová: mas á aquél miraré que es pobre y humilde de espíritu, y que tiembla á mi palabra.
3El que sacrifica buey, como si matase un hombre; el que sacrifica oveja, como si degollase un perro; el que ofrece presente, como si ofreciese sangre de puerco; el que ofrece perfume, como si bendijese á un ídolo. Y pues escogieron sus caminos, y su alma amó sus abominaciones,
4También yo escogeré sus escarnios, y traeré sobre ellos lo que temieron; porque llamé, y nadie respondió; hablé, y no oyeron; antes hicieron lo malo delante de mis ojos, y escogieron lo que á mí desagrada.
5Oid palabra de Jehová, vosotros los que tembláis á su palabra: Vuestros hermanos los que os aborrecen, y os niegan por causa de mi nombre, dijeron: Glorifíquese Jehová. Mas él se mostrará con alegría vuestra, y ellos serán confundidos.
6Voz de alboroto de la ciudad, voz del templo, voz de Jehová que da el pago á sus enemigos.
7Antes que estuviese de parto, parió; antes que le viniesen dolores parió hijo.
8¿Quién oyó cosa semejante? ¿quién vió cosa tal? ¿parirá la tierra en un día? ¿nacerá una nación de una vez? Pues en cuanto Sión estuvo de parto, parió sus hijos.
9¿Yo que hago parir, no pariré? dijo Jehová. ¿Yo que hago engendrar, seré detenido? dice el Dios tuyo.
10Alegraos con Jerusalem, y gozaos con ella, todos los que la amáis: llenaos con ella de gozo, todos los que os enlutáis por ella:
11Para que maméis y os saciéis de los pechos de sus consolaciones; para que ordeñéis, y os deleitéis con el resplandor de su gloria.
12Porque así dice Jehová: He aquí que yo extiendo sobre ella paz como un río, y la gloria de las gentes como un arroyo que sale de madre; y mamaréis, y sobre el lado seréis traídos, y sobre las rodillas seréis regalados.
13Como aquel á quien consuela su madre, así os consolaré yo á vosotros, y en Jerusalem tomaréis consuelo.
14Y veréis, y alegraráse vuestro corazón, y vuestros huesos reverdecerán como la hierba: y la mano de Jehová para con sus siervos será conocida, y se airará contra sus enemigos.
15Porque he aquí que Jehová vendrá con fuego, y sus carros como torbellino, para tornar su ira en furor, y su reprensión en llama de fuego.
16Porque Jehová juzgará con fuego y con su espada á toda carne: y los muertos de Jehová serán multiplicados.
17Los que se santifican y los que se purifican en los huertos, unos tras otros, los que comen carne de puerco, y abominación, y ratón; juntamente serán talados, dice Jehová.
18Porque yo entiendo sus obras y sus pensamientos: tiempo vendrá para juntar todas las gentes y lenguas; y vendrán, y verán mi gloria.
19Y pondré entre ellos señal, y enviaré de los escapados de ellos á las gentes, á Tarsis, á Pul y Lud, que disparan arco, á Tubal y á Javán, á las islas apartadas que no oyeron de mí, ni vieron mi gloria; y publicarán mi gloria entre las gentes.
20Y traerán á todos vuestros hermanos de entre todas las naciones, por presente á Jehová, en caballos, en carros, en literas, y en mulos, y en camellos, á mi santo monte de Jerusalem, dice Jehová, al modo que los hijos de Israel traen el presente en vasos limpios á la casa de Jehová.
21Y tomaré también de ellos para sacerdotes y Levitas, dice Jehová.
22Porque como los cielos nuevos y la nueva tierra, que yo hago, permanecen delante de mí, dice Jehová, así permanecerá vuestra simiente y vuestro nombre.
23Y será que de mes en mes, y de sábado en sábado, vendrá toda carne á adorar delante de mí, dijo Jehová.
24Y saldrán, y verán los cadáveres de los hombres que se rebelaron contra mí: porque su gusano nunca morirá, ni su fuego se apagará; y serán abominables á toda carne.

1Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
2For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
3He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
4I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
5Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
6A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.
7Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
8Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
9Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.
10Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
11That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
12For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
13As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
14And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
15For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
17They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
18For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
19And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
20And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
21And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.
22For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

1The LORD says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build to me? Where will I rest?
2For my hand has made all these things, and so all these things came to be,” says the LORD: “but I will look to this man, even to he who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.
3He who kills an ox is as he who kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, as he who breaks a dog’s neck; he who offers an offering, as he who offers pig’s blood; he who burns frankincense, as he who blesses an idol. Yes, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.
4I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears on them, because when I called, no one answered; when I spoke, they didn’t listen, but they did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I didn’t delight.”
5Hear the LORD’s word, you who tremble at his word: “Your brothers who hate you, who cast you out for my name’s sake, have said, ‘Let the LORD be glorified, that we may see your joy;’ but it is those who shall be disappointed.

12For the LORD says, “Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream, and you will nurse. You will be carried on her side, and will be dandled on her knees.
13As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you. You will be comforted in Jerusalem.”
14You will see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones will flourish like the tender grass. The LORD’s hand will be known among his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.
15For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and his chariots will be like the whirlwind; to give his anger with fierceness, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16For the LORD will execute judgment by fire and by his sword on all flesh; and those slain by the LORD will be many.
