Comme des aveugles nous tâtonnons le long de la muraille, et nous allons à tâtons comme étant sans yeux ; nous trébuchons en plein jour comme dans la nuit ; sur de gras pâturages nous ressemblons à des morts.

Palpamos la pared como ciegos, y andamos á tiento como sin ojos; tropezamos al medio día como de noche; estamos en oscuros lugares como muertos.

We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.
