Und so wuchs er vor ihm auf wie ein Wurzelsprößling und wie ein Wurzelschoß aus dürrem Land: er hatte nicht Gestalt, noch Schönheit, daß wir ihn hätten ansehen mögen, und kein Aussehen, daß wir Gefallen an ihm gefunden hätten.
