1Nun aber spricht Jahwe also, er, der dich schuf, Jakob, und der dich bildete, Israel: Sei getrost, denn ich erlöse dich; ich rufe dich bei Namen: mein bist du!
2Wenn du Gewässer durchschreitest, bin ich mit dir, und wenn Ströme, sollen sie dich nicht überfluten. Wenn du durch Feuer gehst, bleibst du unversengt, und die Flamme soll dich nicht brennen.
3Denn ich, Jahwe, dein Gott, der Heilige Israels, bin dein Erretter: Ich gebe Ägypten als Lösegeld für dich, Kusch und Seba an deiner Stelle.
4Weil du teuer bist in meinen Augen, mir wert geachtet, und ich dich lieb gewonnen habe, so gebe ich Menschen für dich hin und Völkerschaften für dein Leben.
5Sei getrost, denn ich bin mit dir; vom Sonnenaufgang will ich deine Nachkommen herbringen und vom Sonnenuntergang her will ich dich versammeln.
6Ich will zum Norden sagen: Gieb her! und zum Süden: Halte nicht zurück! Bringe her meine Söhne aus der Ferne und meine Töchter vom Ende der Erde:
7jeden, der sich nach meinem Namen nennt, und den ich zu meiner Ehre geschaffen, gebildet und bereitet habe!
8Man führe vor das Volk, das blind ist, obwohl es Augen hat, und sie, die taub sind, obwohl sie Ohren haben!
9All' ihr Völker, versammelt euch insgesamt, und die Nationen mögen sich zusammenscharen. Wer ist unter ihnen, der solches kund thäte und Früheres uns vernehmen ließe? Mögen sie ihre Zeugen stellen, um Recht zu bekommen, und mögen sie hören und sprechen: So ist's!
10Ihr seid meine Zeugen, ist der Spruch Jahwes, und mein Knecht, den ich erwählt habe, damit ihr erkennet und mir glaubt und einseht, daß ich es bin: vor mir ist kein Gott gebildet worden und nach mir wird keiner vorhanden sein!
11Ich, ich bin Jahwe, und außer mir giebt es keinen Erretter.
12Ich bin's, der kund gethan und Rettung geschafft und verkündigt hat, und nicht war's ein fremder unter euch. Und so seid ihr meine Zeugen, ist der Spruch Jahwes: Ich bin Gott!
13Ja, von Ewigkeit bin ich derselbe, und es giebt niemanden, der aus meiner Gewalt zu erretten vermöchte; ich vollführe es: wer wollte es da rückgängig machen?
14So spricht Jahwe, euer Erlöser, der Heilige Israels: Um euretwillen habe ich nach Babel entsendet und treibe sie alle als Flüchtlinge stromabwärts und die Chaldäer auf den Schiffen, die bisher ihren Jubel weckten,
15ich, Jahwe, euer Heiliger, der Erschaffer Israels, euer König!
16So spricht Jahwe, der im Meer einen Weg anlegt und einen Pfad in gewaltigen Wassern,
17der Wagen und Rosse ausziehen läßt, das Heer und seine Gewaltigen: allesamt liegen sie nun da, um nicht wieder aufzustehen; ausgelöscht sind sie, wie ein Docht verglommen.
18Gedenkt nicht an das Frühere und achtet nicht mehr auf das, was einst geschah!
19Fürwahr, ich vollführe etwas Neues: schon sproßt es auf - erkennt ihr es nicht? - und ich will in der Wüste einen Weg, in der Einöde Ströme schaffen.
20Preisen soll mich das Wild in der Steppe, Schakale und Strauße, daß ich in der Wüste Wasser, Ströme in der Einöde beschaffe, um mein Volk, mein auserwähltes, zu tränken.
21Das Volk, das ich mir gebildet habe, sie sollen meinen Ruhm verkündigen.
22Aber nicht mich hast du angerufen, Jakob, noch dich um mich bemüht, o Israel!
23Du hast mir nicht Schafe als Brandopfer von dir gebracht, noch mich geehrt mit deinen Schlachtopfern; ich habe dir keine Beschwerde gemacht mit Speisopfern, noch dich belästigt mit Weihrauchspenden.
24Nicht hast du mir um Geld Gewürzrohr erworben, noch mich gelabt mit dem Fette deiner Schlachtopfer, - vielmehr nur Beschwerde hast du mir gemacht mit deinen Sünden, mich belästigt mit deinen Vergehungen.
25Ich, ich bin es, der ich deine Übertretungen um meinetwillen austilge und deiner Sünden nicht mehr gedenken will.
26Erinnere mich doch: wir wollen miteinander rechten; zähle du auf, damit du Recht bekommst!
27Schon dein erster Ahnherr hat gesündigt, und deine Mittler empörten sich wider mich.
28So entweihte ich denn heilige Fürsten und gab Jakob dem Banne preis und Israel der Verlästerung.

1Y AHORA, así dice Jehová Criador tuyo, oh Jacob, y Formador tuyo, oh Israel: No temas, porque yo te redimí; te puse nombre, mío eres tú.
2Cuando pasares por las aguas, yo seré contigo; y por los ríos, no te anegarán. Cuando pasares por el fuego, no te quemarás, ni la llama arderá en ti.
3Porque yo Jehová Dios tuyo, el Santo de Israel, soy tu Salvador: á Egipto he dado por tu rescate, á Etiopía y á Seba por ti.
4Porque en mis ojos fuiste de grande estima, fuiste honorable, y yo te amé: daré pues hombres por ti, y naciones por tu alma.
5No temas, porque yo soy contigo; del oriente traeré tu generación, y del occidente te recogeré.
6Diré al aquilón: Da acá; y al mediodía: No detengas: trae de lejos mis hijos, y mis hijas de los términos de la tierra,
7Todos los llamados de mi nombre; para gloria mía los críe, los formé y los hice.
8Sacad al pueblo ciego que tiene ojos, y á los sordos que tienen oídos.
9Congréguense á una todas las gentes, y júntense todos los pueblos: ¿quién de ellos hay que nos dé nuevas de esto, y que nos haga oir las cosas primeras? Presenten sus testigos, y justifíquense; oigan, y digan: Verdad.
10Vosotros sois mis testigos, dice Jehová, y mi siervo que yo escogí; para que me conozcáis y creáis, y entendáis que yo mismo soy; antes de mí no fué formado Dios, ni lo será después de mí.
11Yo, yo Jehová; y fuera de mí no hay quien salve.
12Yo anuncié, y salvé, é hice oir, y no hubo entre vosotros extraño. Vosotros pues sois mis testigos, dice Jehová, que yo soy Dios.
13Aun antes que hubiera día, yo era; y no hay quien de mi mano libre: si yo hiciere, ¿quién lo estorbará?
14Así dice Jehová, Redentor vuestro, el Santo de Israel: Por vosotros envié á Babilonia, é hice descender fugitivos todos ellos, y clamor de Caldeos en las naves.
15Yo Jehová, Santo vuestro, Criador de Israel, vuestro Rey.
16Así dice Jehová, el que da camino en la mar, y senda en las aguas impetuosas;
17El que saca carro y caballo, ejército y fuerza; caen juntamente para no levantarse; quedan extinguidos, como pábilo quedan apagados.
18No os acordéis de las cosas pasadas, ni traigáis á memoria las cosas antiguas.
19He aquí que yo hago cosa nueva: presto saldrá á luz: ¿no la sabréis? Otra vez pondré camino en el desierto, y ríos en la soledad.
20La bestia del campo me honrará, los chacales, y los pollos del avestruz: porque daré aguas en el desierto, ríos en la soledad, para que beba mi pueblo, mi escogido.
21Este pueblo crié para mí; mis alabanzas publicará.
22Y no me invocaste á mí, oh Jacob; antes, de mí te cansaste, oh Israel.
23No me trajiste á mí los animales de tus holocaustos, ni á mí me honraste con tus sacrificios: no te hice servir con presente, ni te hice fatigar con perfume.
24No compraste para mí caña aromática por dinero, ni me saciaste con la grosura de tus sacrificios; antes me hiciste servir en tus pecados, me has fatigado con tus maldades.
25Yo, yo soy el que borro tus rebeliones por amor de mí; y no me acordaré de tus pecados.
26Hazme acordar, entremos en juicio juntamente; relata tú para abonarte.
27Tu primer padre pecó, y tus enseñadores prevaricaron contra mí.
28Por tanto, yo profané los príncipes del santuario, y puse por anatema á Jacob, y por oprobio á Israel.

1But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
4Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
5Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
6I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
7Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
8Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.
9Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
10Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
11I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
12I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.
13Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?
14Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.
15I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.
16Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
17Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.
18Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
19Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
20The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
21This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
22But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.
23Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense.
24Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
25I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
26Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
27Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.
28Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.
World English Bible
1But now the LORD who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel, says: “Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine.
2When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.
3For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.
4Since you have been precious and honored in my sight, and I have loved you, therefore I will give people in your place, and nations instead of your life.
5Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west.
6I will tell the north, ‘Give them up!’ and tell the south, ‘Don’t hold them back! Bring my sons from far away, and my daughters from the ends of the earth—
7everyone who is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yes, whom I have made.’”
8Bring out the blind people who have eyes, and the deaf who have ears.
9Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled. Who among them can declare this, and show us former things? Let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified, or let them hear, and say, “That is true.”
10“You are my witnesses,” says the LORD, “With my servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no God formed, neither will there be after me.
11I myself am the LORD. Besides me, there is no savior.
12I have declared, I have saved, and I have shown, and there was no strange god among you. Therefore you are my witnesses”, says the LORD, “and I am God.
13Yes, since the day was, I am he. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand. I will work, and who can hinder it?”
14The LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says: “For your sake, I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring all of them down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing.
15I am the LORD, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.”
16The LORD, who makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters,
17who brings out the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty man (they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched like a wick) says:
18“Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old.
19Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
20The animals of the field, the jackals and the ostriches, shall honor me, because I give water in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen,
21the people which I formed for myself, that they might declare my praise.
22Yet you have not called on me, Jacob; but you have been weary of me, Israel.
23You have not brought me any of your sheep for burnt offerings, neither have you honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, nor wearied you with frankincense.
24You have bought me no sweet cane with money, nor have you filled me with the fat of your sacrifices, but you have burdened me with your sins. You have wearied me with your iniquities.
25I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins.
26Put me in remembrance. Let us plead together. Declare your case, that you may be justified.
27Your first father sinned, and your teachers have transgressed against me.
28Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary; and I will make Jacob a curse, and Israel an insult.”
