2Esse país nos manda embaixadores em navios feitos de junco, descendo o rio Nilo. Os seus mensageiros vão voltar depressa para você, terra de homens altos e escuros, povo agressivo e de fala estranha, nação conquistadora, país que é dividido pelos rios.

2Que envía mensajeros por la mar, y en navíos de junco sobre las aguas! Andad, ligeros mensajeros, á la gente tirada y repelada, al pueblo asombroso desde su principio y después; gente harta de esperar y hollada, cuya tierra destruyeron los ríos.

2That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
