10“Ah, Israel! Eu me lembro tão bem daqueles primeiros dias, quando os guiei pelo deserto; foi como encontrar uvas no deserto! O seu amor era delicioso, como os primeiros figos que nascem no verão! Mas você logo me abandonou por causa de Baal-Peor, e entregou-se a outros deuses! Logo vocês se tornaram tão repugnantes e inúteis quanto eles.

10Como uvas en el desierto hallé á Israel: como la fruta temprana de la higuera en su principio vi á vuestros padres. Ellos entraron á Baal-peor, y se apartaron para vergüenza, é hiciéronse abominables como aquello que amaron.

10I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baal-peor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.

10I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness. I saw your fathers as the first ripe in the fig tree at its first season; but they came to Baal Peor, and consecrated themselves to the shameful thing, and became abominable like that which they loved.
