Mit Seilen, wie ein Mensch sie braucht, zog ich sie zu mir, mit Banden der Liebe, und verhielt mich gegen sie wie einer, der das Joch an ihren Kinnladen lüpft, und bot ihnen ihre Nahrung dar.

Con cuerdas humanas los traje, con cuerdas de amor: y fuí para ellos como los que alzan el yugo de sobre sus mejillas, y llegué hacia él la comida.

I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.
