Ya estaba oscureciendo cuando la paloma regresó, trayendo en su pico una ramita verde de olivo. Por eso, Noé se dio cuenta de que las aguas habían bajado mucho, de modo que ya se podía ver la tierra seca.

Y la paloma volvió á él á la hora de la tarde; y he aquí que traía una hoja de oliva tomada en su pico: y entendió Noé que las aguas se habían retirado de sobre la tierra.

And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.

The dove came back to him at evening and, behold, in her mouth was a freshly plucked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from the earth.
