Génesis 4

DER Mensch aber wohnte seinem Weibe Eva bei, und sie ward schwanger und gebar den Kain. Da sprach sie: Ich habe einen Sohn bekommen mit des Herrn Hilfe.

Y CONOCIÓ Adam á su mujer Eva, la cual concibió y parió á Caín, y dijo: Adquirido he varón por Jehová.

And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

The man knew Eve his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Cain, and said, “I have gotten a man with the LORD’s help.”

Und weiter gebar sie den Abel, seinen Bruder. Abel ward ein Schäfer, Kain aber ward ein Ackerbauer.

Y después parió á su hermano Abel. Y fué Abel pastor de ovejas, y Caín fué labrador de la tierra.

And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Again she gave birth, to Cain’s brother Abel. Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Es begab sich aber nach geraumer Zeit, daß Kain von den Früchten des Ackers dem Herrn ein Opfer brachte.

Y aconteció andando el tiempo, que Caín trajo del fruto de la tierra una ofrenda á Jehová.

And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

As time passed, Cain brought an offering to the LORD from the fruit of the ground.

Und auch Abel brachte von den Erstlingen seiner Schafe dar und von ihrem Fette. Und der Herr sah wohlgefällig auf Abel und sein Opfer,

Y Abel trajo también de los primogénitos de sus ovejas, y de su grosura. Y miró Jehová con agrado á Abel y á su ofrenda;

And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

Abel also brought some of the firstborn of his flock and of its fat. The LORD respected Abel and his offering,

auf Kain aber und sein Opfer sah er nicht. Da ergrimmte Kain gar sehr und blickte finster.

Mas no miró propicio á Caín y á la ofrenda suya. Y ensañóse Caín en gran manera, y decayó su semblante.

But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

but he didn’t respect Cain and his offering. Cain was very angry, and the expression on his face fell.

Und der Herr sprach zu Kain: Warum ergrimmst du, und warum blickst du so finster?

Entonces Jehová dijo á Caín: ¿Por qué te has ensañado, y por qué se ha inmutado tu rostro?

And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

The LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why has the expression of your face fallen?

Ist's nicht also? Wenn du recht handelst, darfst du frei aufschauen; handelst du aber nicht recht, so lauert die Sünde vor der Tür, und nach dir steht ihre Begierde; du aber sollst Herr werden über sie! (a) Rö 6:12

Si bien hicieres, ¿no serás ensalzado? y si no hicieres bien, el pecado está á la puerta: con todo esto, á ti será su deseo, y tú te enseñorearás de él.

If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

If you do well, won’t it be lifted up? If you don’t do well, sin crouches at the door. Its desire is for you, but you are to rule over it.”

Darauf sprach Kain zu seinem Bruder Abel: Laß uns aufs Feld gehen! Und als sie auf dem Felde waren, erhob sich Kain wider seinen Bruder Abel und schlug ihn tot.

Y habló Caín á su hermano Abel: y aconteció que estando ellos en el campo, Caín se levantó contra su hermano Abel, y le mató.

And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

Cain said to Abel, his brother, “Let’s go into the field.” While they were in the field, Cain rose up against Abel, his brother, and killed him.

Da sprach der Herr zu Kain: Wo ist dein Bruder Abel? Er sprach: Ich weiß nicht. Bin ich denn meines Bruders Hüter?

Y Jehová dijo á Caín: ¿Dónde está Abel tu hermano? Y él respondió: No sé; ¿soy yo guarda de mi hermano?

And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?

The LORD said to Cain, “Where is Abel, your brother?” He said, “I don’t know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”

Er aber sprach: Was hast du getan! Horch, das Blut deines Bruders schreit zu mir empor vom Ackerland.

Y él le dijo: ¿Qué has hecho? La voz de la sangre de tu hermano clama á mí desde la tierra.

And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.

The LORD said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries to me from the ground.

Und nun - verflucht bist du, verbannt vom Ackerland, das seinen Mund aufgetan hat, aus deiner Hand das Blut deines Bruders zu empfangen.

Ahora pues, maldito seas tú de la tierra que abrió su boca para recibir la sangre de tu hermano de tu mano:

And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand;

Now you are cursed because of the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.

Wenn du den Acker bebauen wirst, soll er dir hinfort seinen Ertrag nicht mehr geben: unstet und flüchtig sollst du sein auf Erden.

Cuando labrares la tierra, no te volverá á dar su fuerza: errante y extranjero serás en la tierra.

When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

From now on, when you till the ground, it won’t yield its strength to you. You will be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth.”

Da sprach Kain zu dem Herrn: Meine Strafe ist größer, als daß ich sie tragen könnte.

Y dijo Caín á Jehová: Grande es mi iniquidad para ser perdonada.

And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

Cain said to the LORD, “My punishment is greater than I can bear.

Siehe, du vertreibst mich heute vom Ackerland, und ich muß mich vor deinem Angesicht verbergen; unstet und flüchtig muß ich sein auf Erden. So wird mich denn totschlagen, wer mich antrifft.

He aquí me echas hoy de la faz de la tierra, y de tu presencia me esconderé; y seré errante y extranjero en la tierra; y sucederá que cualquiera que me hallare, me matará.

Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

Behold, you have driven me out today from the surface of the ground. I will be hidden from your face, and I will be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth. Whoever finds me will kill me.”

Der Herr aber sprach zu ihm: Nicht also! Wer immer Kain totschlägt, an dem wird es siebenfältig gerächt. Und der Herr versah Kain mit einem Zeichen, daß keiner ihn erschlüge, der ihn anträfe.

Y respondióle Jehová: Cierto que cualquiera que matare á Caín, siete veces será castigado. Entonces Jehová puso señal en Caín, para que no lo hiriese cualquiera que le hallara.

And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

The LORD said to him, “Therefore whoever slays Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold.” The LORD appointed a sign for Cain, so that anyone finding him would not strike him.

Also ging Kain hinweg vom Angesichte des Herrn und wohnte im Lande Nod, östlich von Eden.

Y salió Caín de delante de Jehová, y habitó en tierra de Nod, al oriente de Edén.

And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

Cain left the LORD’s presence, and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Und Kain wohnte seinem Weibe bei; da ward sie schwanger und gebar den Henoch. Und er ward Erbauer einer Stadt; die nannte er nach seines Sohnes Namen Henoch.

Y conoció Caín á su mujer, la cual concibió y parió á Henoch: y edificó una ciudad, y llamó el nombre de la ciudad del nombre de su hijo, Henoch.

And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

Cain knew his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Enoch. He built a city, and named the city after the name of his son, Enoch.

Dem Henoch wurde Irad geboren; Irad aber zeugte Mehujael, Mehujael zeugte Methusael, Methusael zeugte Lamech.

Y á Henoch nació Irad, é Irad engendró á Mehujael, y Mehujael engendró á Methusael, y Methusael engendró á Lamech.

And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.

Irad was born to Enoch. Irad became the father of Mehujael. Mehujael became the father of Methushael. Methushael became the father of Lamech.

Lamech aber nahm zwei Frauen; die eine hieß Ada, die andre Zilla.

Y tomó para sí Lamech dos mujeres; el nombre de la una fué Ada, y el nombre de la otra Zilla.

And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.

Lamech took two wives: the name of the first one was Adah, and the name of the second one was Zillah.

Und Ada gebar den Jabal; der wurde der Vater derer, die in Zelten und bei Herden wohnen.

Y Ada parió á Jabal, el cual fué padre de los que habitan en tiendas, y crían ganados.

And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.

Adah gave birth to Jabal, who was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock.

Sein Bruder hieß Jubal; der wurde der Vater aller derer, die Zither und Schalmei handhaben.

Y el nombre de su hermano fué Jubal, el cual fué padre de todos los que manejan arpa y órgano.

And his brother’s name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.

His brother’s name was Jubal, who was the father of all who handle the harp and pipe.

Aber auch Zilla gebar einen Sohn, den Thubal-Kain; der wurde der Vater aller derer, die Erz und Eisen schmieden. Und die Schwester Thubal-Kains war Naema.

Y Zilla también parió á Tubal-Caín, acicalador de toda obra de metal y de hierro: y la hermana de Tubal-Caín fué Naama.

And Zillah, she also bare Tubal-cain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.

Zillah also gave birth to Tubal Cain, the forger of every cutting instrument of bronze and iron. Tubal Cain’s sister was Naamah.

Und Lamech sprach zu seinen Frauen: Ada und Zilla, hört meine Rede, / ihr Weiber Lamechs, vernehmt meinen Spruch! / Einen Mann erschlug ich für meine Wunde / und einen Jüngling für meine Strieme. /

Y dijo Lamech á sus mujeres: Ada y Zilla, oid mi voz; mujeres de Lamech, escuchad mi dicho: que varón mataré por mi herida, y mancebo por mi golpe:

And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.

Lamech said to his wives, “Adah and Zillah, hear my voice. You wives of Lamech, listen to my speech, for I have slain a man for wounding me, a young man for bruising me.

Denn wird Kain siebenmal gerächt, / so Lamech siebenundsiebzigmal.

Si siete veces será vengado Caín, Lamech en verdad setenta veces siete lo será.

If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.

If Cain will be avenged seven times, truly Lamech seventy-seven times.”

Und Adam wohnte seinem Weibe abermals bei, und sie gebar einen Sohn, den hieß sie Seth, denn Gott hat mir, (so sprach sie,) einen andern Sproß gegeben für Abel, weil Kain ihn erschlagen hat.

Y conoció de nuevo Adam á su mujer, la cual parió un hijo, y llamó su nombre Seth: Porque Dios (dijo ella) me ha sustituído otra simiente en lugar de Abel, á quien mató Caín.

And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.

Adam knew his wife again. She gave birth to a son, and named him Seth, saying, “for God has given me another child instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.”

Und auch dem Seth ward ein Sohn geboren; den hieß er Enos. Damals fing man an, den Namen Jahwes anzurufen. (1) der bes. Name des Gottes Israels lautete ursprünglich †Jahwe. In der Reformationszeit kam dafür irrtümlicherweise die Namensform Jehova in Gebrauch. Die meisten Üs. wählten statt dessen nach jüd. Vorgang die allgemeine Bez. "der Herr", die in der Regel auch in unsrer Zürcher Bibel beibehalten ist.

Y á Seth también le nació un hijo, y llamó su nombre Enós. Entonces los hombres comenzaron á llamarse del nombre de Jehová.

And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

A son was also born to Seth, and he named him Enosh. At that time men began to call on the LORD’s name.
