1And Iacob called for his sonnes ad sayde: come together that I maye tell you what shall happe you in the last dayes.
2Gather you together and heare ye sonnes of Iacob and herken vnto Israel youre father.
3Ruben thou art myne eldest sonne my myghte and the begynnynge of my strength chefe in receauynge and chefe in power.
4As vnstable as water wast thou: thou shalt therfore not be the chefest for thou wenst vp vpo thy fathers bedd and than defyledest thou my couche with goynge vppe.
5The brethern Simeon and Leui weked instrumentes are their wepos.
6In to their secrettes come not my soule and vnto their congregation be my honoure not coupled: for in their wrath they slewe a man and in their selfewill they houghed an oxe.
7Cursed be their wrath for it was stronge and their fearsnes for it was cruell. I will therfore deuyde them in Iacob and scater them in Israel.
8Iuda thy brethern shall prayse the and thine hande shalbe in the necke of thyne enimies and thy fathers childern shall stoupe vnto the.
9Iuda is a lions whelpe. Fro spoyle my sonne thou art come an hye: he layde him downe and couched himselfe as a lion and as a lionesse. Who dare stere him vp?
10The sceptre shall not departe from Iuda nor a ruelar from betwene his legges vntill Silo come vnto whome the people shall herken.
11He shall bynde his fole vnto the vine and his asses colt vnto the vyne braunche ad shall wash his garment in wyne and his mantell in the bloud of grapes
12his eyes are roudier than wyne ad his teeth whitter then mylke.
13Zabulon shall dwell in the hauen of the see and in the porte of shippes and shall reache vnto Sidon.
14Isachar is a stronge asse he couched him doune betwene .ij. borders
15and sawe that rest was good and the lande that it was pleasant and bowed his shulder to beare and became a servaunte vnto trybute.
16Dan shall iudge his people as one of the trybes of Israel.
17Dan shalbe a serpent in the waye and an edder in the path and byte the horse heles so yt his ryder shall fall backwarde,
18After thy sauynge loke I LORde.
19Gad men of warre shall invade him. And he shall turne them to flyght.
20Off Asser cometh fatt breed and he shall geue pleasures for a kynge.
21Nepthali is a swyft hynde ad geueth goodly wordes.
22That florishynge childe Ioseph that florishing childe and goodly vn to the eye: the doughters come forth to bere ruele.
23The shoters haue envyed him and chyde with him ad hated him
24and yet his bowe bode fast and his armes and his handes were stronge by the handes of the myghtye God of Iacob: out of him shall come an herde ma a stone in Israel.
25Thi fathers God shall helpe the and the almightie shall blesse the with blessinges from heaven aboue and with blessinges of the water that lieth vnder and with blessinges of the brestes and of the wombe.
26The blessinges of thy father were stronge: euen as the blessinges of my elders after the desyre of the hiest in the worlde and these blessinges shall fall on the head of Ioseph and on the toppe of the head of him yt was separat from his brethern.
27Ben Iamin is a raueshynge wolfe. In the mornynge be shall deuoure his praye ad at nyghte he shall deuyde his spoyle.
28All these are the .xij. tribes of Israel and this is that which their father spake vnto them whe he blessed them euery man with a severall blessinge.
29And he charged them and sayde vnto them. I shall be put vnto my people: se that ye burye me with my fathers in the caue that is in the felde of Ephron the Hethyte
30in the double caue that is in the felde before Mamre in the lande of Canaan. Which felde Abraham boughte of Ephron the Hethite for a possessio to burye in.
31There they buryed Abraha and Sara his wyfe there they buryed Isaac and Rebecca his wyfe. And there I buried Lea:
32which felde and the caue that is therin was bought of the childern of Heth.
33When Iacob had commaunded all that he wold vnto his sonnes be plucked vp his fete apon the bedd and dyed and was put vnto his people.

1Y LLAMÓ Jacob á sus hijos, y dijo: Juntaos, y os declararé lo que os ha de acontecer en los postreros días.
2Juntaos y oid, hijos de Jacob; y escuchad á vuestro padre Israel.
3Rubén, tú eres mi primogénito, mi fortaleza, y el principio de mi vigor; principal en dignidad, principal en poder.
4Corriente como las aguas, no seas el principal; por cuanto subiste al lecho de tu padre: entonces te envileciste, subiendo á mi estrado.
5Simeón y Leví, hermanos: armas de iniquidad sus armas.
6En su secreto no entre mi alma, ni mi honra se junte en su compañía; que en su furor mataron varón, y en su voluntad arrancaron muro.
7Maldito su furor, que fué fiero; y su ira, que fué dura: yo los apartaré en Jacob, y los esparciré en Israel.
8Judá, alabarte han tus hermanos: tu mano en la cerviz de tus enemigos: los hijos de tu padre se inclinarán á ti.
9Cachorro de león Judá: de la presa subiste, hijo mío: encorvóse, echóse como león, así como león viejo; ¿quién lo despertará?
10No será quitado el cetro de Judá, y el legislador de entre sus piés, hasta que venga Shiloh; y á él se congregarán los pueblos.
11Atando á la vid su pollino, y á la cepa el hijo de su asna, lavó en el vino su vestido, y en la sangre de uvas su manto:
12Sus ojos bermejos del vino, y los dientes blancos de la leche.
13Zabulón en puertos de mar habitará, y será para puerto de navíos; y su término hasta Sidón.
14Issachâr, asno huesudo echado entre dos tercios:
15Y vió que el descanso era bueno, y que la tierra era deleitosa; y bajó su hombro para llevar, y sirvió en tributo.
16Dan juzgará á su pueblo, como una de las tribus de Israel.
17Será Dan serpiente junto al camino, cerasta junto á la senda, que muerde los talones de los caballos, y hace caer por detrás al cabalgador de ellos.
18Tu salud esperé, oh Jehová.
19Gad, ejército lo acometerá; mas él acometerá al fin.
20El pan de Aser será grueso, y él dará deleites al rey.
21Nephtalí, sierva dejada, que dará dichos hermosos.
22Ramo fructífero José, ramo fructífero junto á fuente, cuyos vástagos se extienden sobre el muro.
23Y causáronle amargura, y asaeteáronle, y aborreciéronle los archeros:
24Mas su arco quedó en fortaleza, y los brazos de sus manos se corroboraron por las manos del Fuerte de Jacob, (de allí el pastor, y la piedra de Israel,)
25Del Dios de tu padre, el cual te ayudará, y del Omnipotente, el cual te bendecirá con bendiciones de los cielos de arriba, con bendiciones del abismo que está abajo, con bendiciones del seno y de la matriz.
26Las bendiciones de tu padre fueron mayores que las bendiciones de mis progenitores: hasta el término de los collados eternos serán sobre la cabeza de José, y sobre la mollera del Nazareo de sus hermanos.
27Benjamín, lobo arrebatador: á la mañana comerá la presa, y á la tarde repartirá los despojos.
28Todos estos fueron las doce tribus de Israel: y esto fué lo que su padre les dijo, y bendíjolos; á cada uno por su bendición los bendijo.
29Mandóles luego, y díjoles: Yo voy á ser reunido con mi pueblo: sepultadme con mis padres en la cueva que está en el campo de Ephrón el Hetheo;
30En la cueva que está en el campo de Macpela, que está delante de Mamre en la tierra de Canaán, la cual compró Abraham con el mismo campo de Ephrón el Hetheo, para heredad de sepultura.
31Allí sepultaron á Abraham y á Sara su mujer; allí sepultaron á Isaac y á Rebeca su mujer; allí también sepulté yo á Lea.
32La compra del campo y de la cueva que está en él, fué de los hijos de Heth.
33Y como acabó Jacob de dar órdenes á sus hijos, encogió sus pies en la cama, y espiró: y fué reunido con sus padres.

1And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
2Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.
3Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
4Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.
5Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations.
6O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall.
7Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
8Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee.
9Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
10The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
11Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:
12His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.
13Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon.
14Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens:
15And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.
16Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
17Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
18I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.
19Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.
20Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.
21Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.
22Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
23The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
24But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
25Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
26The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
27Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.
28All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.
29And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
30In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace.
31There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.
32The purchase of the field and of the cave that is therein was from the children of Heth.
33And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people.

1Jacob called to his sons, and said: “Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which will happen to you in the days to come.
2Assemble yourselves, and hear, you sons of Jacob. Listen to Israel, your father.
3“Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, excelling in dignity, and excelling in power.
4Boiling over like water, you shall not excel, because you went up to your father’s bed, then defiled it. He went up to my couch.
5“Simeon and Levi are brothers. Their swords are weapons of violence.
6My soul, don’t come into their council. My glory, don’t be united to their assembly; for in their anger they killed men. In their self-will they hamstrung cattle.
7Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel. I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
8“Judah, your brothers will praise you. Your hand will be on the neck of your enemies. Your father’s sons will bow down before you.
9Judah is a lion’s cub. From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He stooped down, he crouched as a lion, as a lioness. Who will rouse him up?
10The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs. The obedience of the peoples will be to him.

18I have waited for your salvation, LORD.
19“A troop will press on Gad, but he will press on their heel.
20“Asher’s food will be rich. He will produce royal dainties.
21“Naphtali is a doe set free, who bears beautiful fawns.
22“Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine by a spring. His branches run over the wall.
23The archers have severely grieved him, shot at him, and persecuted him:
24But his bow remained strong. The arms of his hands were made strong, by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, (from there is the shepherd, the stone of Israel),
25even by the God of your father, who will help you, by the Almighty, who will bless you, with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies below, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb.
26The blessings of your father have prevailed above the blessings of my ancestors, above the boundaries of the ancient hills. They will be on the head of Joseph, on the crown of the head of him who is separated from his brothers.

32the field and the cave that is therein, which was purchased from the children of Heth.”
33When Jacob finished charging his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, breathed his last breath, and was gathered to his people.
