Em meio a essa situação, Israel morou no Egito, na região de Gósen, onde compraram terras, e os seus descendentes tornaram-se muito numerosos.

Así habitó Israel en la tierra de Egipto, en la tierra de Gosén; y aposesionáronse en ella, y se aumentaron, y multiplicaron en gran manera.

And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly.
