Assim, José adquiriu toda a terra do Egito para Faraó. Cada egípcio vendeu seus campos, pois a fome era muito severa. Dessa forma, a terra se tornou do Faraó.

Entonces compró José toda la tierra de Egipto para Faraón; pues los Egipcios vendieron cada uno sus tierras, porque se agravó el hambre sobre ellos: y la tierra vino á ser de Faraón.

And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s.
