22Ruben aber sprach zu ihnen: Habe ich euch nicht gesagt: versündigt euch nicht an dem Kinde! Aber ihr wolltet nicht hören - nun aber wird Rechenschaft gefordert für sein Blut!

22Entonces Rubén les respondió, diciendo: ¿No os hablé yo y dije: No pequéis contra el mozo; y no escuchasteis? He aquí también su sangre es requerida.

22And Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and ye would not hear? therefore, behold, also his blood is required.

22Reuben answered them, saying, “Didn’t I tell you, saying, ‘Don’t sin against the child,’ and you wouldn’t listen? Therefore also, behold, his blood is required.”
