Nun begab es sich nach Verlauf von zwei vollen Jahren, daß der Pharao einen Traum hatte: ihm war es, er stehe am Nil.

Y ACONTECIÓ que pasados dos años tuvo Faraón un sueño: Parecíale que estaba junto al río;

And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.

Da sah er aus dem Strom sieben schöne, wohlgenährte Kühe heraufsteigen und im Riedgras weiden.

Y que del río subían siete vacas, hermosas á la vista, y muy gordas, y pacían en el prado:

And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.

Behold, seven cattle came up out of the river. They were sleek and fat, and they fed in the marsh grass.

Dann sah er nach diesen sieben andere Kühe aus dem Strom heraufsteigen, die sahen häßlich aus und waren mager am Fleisch und traten neben die anderen Kühe am Ufer des Stromes;

Y que otras siete vacas subían tras ellas del río, de fea vista, y enjutas de carne, y se pararon cerca de las vacas hermosas á la orilla del río:

And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.

Behold, seven other cattle came up after them out of the river, ugly and thin, and stood by the other cattle on the brink of the river.

hierauf fraßen die häßlichen und mageren Kühe die sieben schönen und wohlgenährten Kühe auf. Da erwachte der Pharao.

Y que las vacas de fea vista y enjutas de carne devoraban á las siete vacas hermosas y muy gordas. Y despertó Faraón.

And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.

The ugly and thin cattle ate up the seven sleek and fat cattle. So Pharaoh awoke.

Als er dann wieder eingeschlafen war, hatte er einen zweiten Traum; und zwar sah er sieben Ähren oben an einem Halme wachsen, dicke und schöne;

And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.

nach diesen aber schossen sieben dünne und vom Ostwind versengte Ähren hervor,

Y que otras siete espigas menudas y abatidas del Solano, salían después de ellas:

And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.

und diese dünnen Ähren verschlangen die sieben dicken und vollen Ähren. Da erwachte der Pharao und merkte, daß es ein (bedeutungsvoller) Traum war.

Y las siete espigas menudas devoraban á las siete espigas gruesas y llenas. Y despertó Faraón, y he aquí que era sueño.

And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.

Am Morgen fühlte er sich darüber innerlich beunruhigt, so daß er alle Schriftkundigen Ägyptens und alle Weisen des Landes rufen ließ; er erzählte ihnen seine Träume, aber es war keiner da, der sie dem Pharao zu deuten vermochte.

Y acaeció que á la mañana estaba agitado su espíritu; y envió é hizo llamar á todos los magos de Egipto, y á todos sus sabios: y contóles Faraón sus sueños, mas no había quien á Faraón los declarase.

And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.

In the morning, his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all of Egypt’s magicians and wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them to Pharaoh.

Da nahm der Obermundschenk das Wort und sagte zum Pharao: »Ich muß heute meine Verfehlungen in Erinnerung bringen.

Entonces el principal de los coperos habló á Faraón, diciendo: Acuérdome hoy de mis faltas:

Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:

Then the chief cup bearer spoke to Pharaoh, saying, “I remember my faults today.

Als der Pharao (einst) über seine Diener in Zorn geraten war und mich im Hause des Obersten der Leibwächter in Gewahrsam hatte legen lassen, mich und den Oberbäcker,

Faraón se enojó contra sus siervos, y á mí me echó á la prisión de la casa del capitán de los de la guardia, á mí y al principal de los panaderos:

Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard’s house, both me and the chief baker:

da hatten wir beide in einer und derselben Nacht einen Traum, ich und er, und zwar jeder einen Traum von besonderer Bedeutung.

Y yo y él vimos un sueño una misma noche: cada uno soñó conforme á la declaración de su sueño.

And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.

Nun befand sich dort ein hebräischer junger Mann bei uns, ein Sklave des Obersten der Leibwächter; dem erzählten wir’s, und er deutete uns unsere Träume: er gab dem Traum eines jeden die entsprechende Deutung,

Y estaba allí con nosotros un mozo Hebreo, sirviente del capitán de los de la guardia; y se lo contamos, y él nos declaró nuestros sueños, y declaró á cada uno conforme á su sueño.

And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.

und ganz so, wie er uns die Deutung gegeben hatte, so ist es eingetroffen: mich hat (der Pharao) wieder in mein Amt eingesetzt, und jenen hat er hängen lassen.«

Y aconteció que como él nos declaró, así fué: á mí me hizo volver á mi puesto, é hizo colgar al otro.

And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.

Da sandte der Pharao hin und ließ Joseph rufen; man holte ihn in aller Eile aus dem Gefängnis; er mußte sich scheren lassen und andere Kleider anziehen und trat dann vor den Pharao.

Entonces Faraón envió y llamó á José; é hiciéronle salir corriendo de la cárcel, y le cortaron el pelo, y mudaron sus vestidos, y vino á Faraón.

Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

Da sagte der Pharao zu Joseph: »Ich habe einen Traum gehabt, aber niemand weiß ihn zu deuten. Nun habe ich von dir sagen hören, du brauchtest einen Traum nur zu hören, so könntest du ihn schon deuten.«

Y dijo Faraón á José: Yo he tenido un sueño, y no hay quien lo declare; mas he oído decir de ti, que oyes sueños para declararlos.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”

Da antwortete Joseph dem Pharao: »O nein, nicht ich! Aber Gott wird etwas kundtun, was dem Pharao Segen bringt.«

Y respondió José á Faraón, diciendo: No está en mí; Dios será el que responda paz á Faraón.

And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It isn’t in me. God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”

Nun sagte der Pharao zu Joseph: »In meinem Traume war es mir, ich stände am Ufer des Nils;

Entonces Faraón dijo á José: En mi sueño parecíame que estaba á la orilla del río:

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:

da sah ich sieben wohlgenährte, schöne Kühe aus dem Strom heraufsteigen und im Riedgras weiden.

Y que del río subían siete vacas de gruesas carnes y hermosa apariencia, que pacían en el prado:

And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow:

and behold, seven fat and sleek cattle came up out of the river. They fed in the marsh grass;

Nach diesen sah ich sieben andere Kühe heraufsteigen, die dürr und sehr häßlich und mager am Fleisch waren; ich habe in ganz Ägypten nirgends so häßliche gesehen wie diese.

Y que otras siete vacas subían después de ellas, flacas y de muy fea traza; tan extenuadas, que no he visto otras semejantes en toda la tierra de Egipto en fealdad:

And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:

and behold, seven other cattle came up after them, poor and very ugly and thin, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for ugliness.

Hierauf fraßen die mageren und häßlichen Kühe die sieben ersten wohlgenährten Kühe auf;

Y las vacas flacas y feas devoraban á las siete primeras vacas gruesas:

And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:

The thin and ugly cattle ate up the first seven fat cattle;

aber auch als sie in ihren Leib gekommen waren, merkte man ihnen nicht an, daß sie in ihren Leib gekommen waren; nein, ihr Aussehen blieb so häßlich wie im Anfang. Da wachte ich auf.

Y entraban en sus entrañas, mas no se conocía que hubiesen entrado en ellas, porque su parecer era aún malo, como de primero. Y yo desperté.

And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

and when they had eaten them up, it couldn’t be known that they had eaten them, but they were still ugly, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

Dann sah ich in meinem Traume sieben Ähren, die oben an einem Halme wuchsen, volle und schöne.

Vi también soñando, que siete espigas subían en una misma caña llenas y hermosas;

And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:

I saw in my dream, and behold, seven heads of grain came up on one stalk, full and good;

Nach diesen aber schossen sieben dürre, dünne, vom Ostwind versengte Ähren hervor;

Y que otras siete espigas menudas, marchitas, abatidas del Solano, subían después de ellas:

And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:

and behold, seven heads of grain, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.

und die dünnen Ähren verschlangen die sieben schönen Ähren. Ich habe dies schon den Schriftkundigen mitgeteilt, aber keiner hat mir eine Erklärung geben können.«

Y las espigas menudas devoraban á las siete espigas hermosas: y helo dicho á los magos, mas no hay quien me lo declare.

And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.

The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good heads of grain. I told it to the magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”

Da sagte Joseph zum Pharao: »(Beides,) was der Pharao geträumt hat, bedeutet ein und dasselbe: Gott hat dem Pharao angekündigt, was er zu tun gedenkt.

Entonces respondió José á Faraón: El sueño de Faraón es uno mismo: Dios ha mostrado á Faraón lo que va á hacer.

And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.

Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dream of Pharaoh is one. What God is about to do he has declared to Pharaoh.

Die sieben schönen Kühe bedeuten sieben Jahre, und die sieben schönen Ähren bedeuten auch sieben Jahre: es ist ein und derselbe Traum.

Las siete vacas hermosas siete años son; y las espigas hermosas son siete años: el sueño es uno mismo.

The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.

The seven good cattle are seven years; and the seven good heads of grain are seven years. The dream is one.

Auch die sieben mageren und häßlichen Kühe, die nach ihnen (aus dem Strom) heraufstiegen, sind sieben Jahre, und die sieben leeren, vom Ostwind versengten Ähren bedeuten, daß sieben Hungerjahre kommen werden.

También las siete vacas flacas y feas que subían tras ellas, son siete años; y las siete espigas menudas y marchitas del Solano, siete años serán de hambre.

And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.

The seven thin and ugly cattle that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty heads of grain blasted with the east wind; they will be seven years of famine.

Das meinte ich, als ich (vorhin) zum Pharao sagte: ›Gott hat dem Pharao geoffenbart, was er zu tun gedenkt.‹

Esto es lo que respondo á Faraón. Lo que Dios va á hacer, halo mostrado á Faraón.

This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.

That is the thing which I have spoken to Pharaoh. God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

Wisse: es werden sieben Jahre mit großem Überfluß im ganzen Land Ägypten kommen;

He aquí vienen siete años de grande hartura en toda la tierra de Egipto:

Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:

Behold, seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt are coming.

aber nach diesen werden sieben Hungerjahre eintreten, so daß der ganze Überfluß im Lande Ägypten vergessen sein wird; und die Hungersnot wird das Land so verzehren,

Y levantarse han tras ellos siete años de hambre; y toda la hartura será olvidada en la tierra de Egipto; y el hambre consumirá la tierra;

And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

Seven years of famine will arise after them, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt. The famine will consume the land,

daß man von dem früheren Überfluß im Lande Ägypten nichts mehr merken wird infolge der späteren Hungersnot; denn diese wird überaus schwer sein.

Y aquella abundancia no se echará de ver á causa del hambre siguiente, la cual será gravísima.

And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.

and the plenty will not be known in the land by reason of that famine which follows; for it will be very grievous.

Daß aber der Traum sich dem Pharao zweimal wiederholt hat, das bedeutet: die Sache ist bei Gott fest beschlossen, und Gott wird sie ohne Verzug ausführen.«

Y el suceder el sueño á Faraón dos veces, significa que la cosa es firme de parte de Dios, y que Dios se apresura á hacerla.

And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

»Und nun möge der Pharao sich nach einem einsichtigen und weisen Manne umsehen, den er über das Land Ägypten setze!

Por tanto, provéase ahora Faraón de un varón prudente y sabio, y póngalo sobre la tierra de Egipto.

Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.

“Now therefore let Pharaoh look for a discreet and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt.

und der Pharao wolle Vorsorge tragen, daß er Aufseher über das Land bestelle, und erhebe den fünften Teil des Ertrages vom Lande Ägypten während der sieben Jahre des Überflusses!

Haga esto Faraón, y ponga gobernadores sobre el país, y quinte la tierra de Egipto en los siete años de la hartura;

Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.

Man sammle so den gesamten Ernteertrag jener guten Jahre, die nun kommen werden, und speichere das Getreide unter der Obhut des Pharaos als Vorrat in den Städten auf und verwahre es dort.

Y junten toda la provisión de estos buenos años que vienen, y alleguen el trigo bajo la mano de Faraón para mantenimiento de las ciudades; y guárdenlo.

And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.

Dann wird dieser Vorrat dem Lande einen Rückhalt für die sieben Hungerjahre gewähren, die im Lande Ägypten eintreten werden, und das Land wird durch die Hungersnot nicht zugrunde gerichtet werden.«

Y esté aquella provisión en depósito para el país, para los siete años del hambre que serán en la tierra de Egipto; y el país no perecerá de hambre.

And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.

The food will be to supply the land against the seven years of famine, which will be in the land of Egypt; so that the land will not perish through the famine.”

Diese Darlegung fand den Beifall des Pharaos und aller seiner Diener;

Y el negocio pareció bien á Faraón, y á sus siervos.

And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

und der Pharao sagte zu seinen Dienern: »Könnten wir wohl noch einen Mann finden, in dem der Geist Gottes wohnt wie in diesem?«

Y dijo Faraón á sus siervos: ¿Hemos de hallar otro hombre como éste, en quien haya espíritu de Dios?

And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?

Zu Joseph aber sagte der Pharao: »Nachdem Gott dir dieses alles geoffenbart hat, gibt es keinen, der so einsichtig und weise wäre wie du.

Y dijo Faraón á José: Pues que Dios te ha hecho saber todo esto, no hay entendido ni sabio como tú:

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Because God has shown you all of this, there is no one so discreet and wise as you.

Du selber sollst über mein Haus gesetzt sein, und deinen Befehlen soll mein ganzes Volk sich fügen; nur den Besitz des Thrones will ich vor dir voraushaben.«

Tú serás sobre mi casa, y por tu dicho se gobernará todo mi pueblo: solamente en el trono seré yo mayor que tú.

Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

You shall be over my house. All my people will be ruled according to your word. Only in the throne I will be greater than you.”

Weiter sagte der Pharao zu Joseph: »Hiermit setze ich dich über das ganze Land Ägypten!«

Dijo más Faraón á José: He aquí yo te he puesto sobre toda la tierra de Egipto.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Behold, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”

Darauf zog der Pharao seinen Siegelring vom Finger und steckte ihn dem Joseph an die Hand, ließ ihn in Gewänder von Byssus kleiden und legte ihm die goldene Kette um den Hals.

Entonces Faraón quitó su anillo de su mano, y púsolo en la mano de José, é hízole vestir de ropas de lino finísimo, y puso un collar de oro en su cuello;

And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

Außerdem ließ er ihn auf seinem zweiten Staatswagen fahren, und man rief vor ihm her aus: »Abrek!« So setzte er ihn über das ganze Land Ägypten.

E hízolo subir en su segundo carro, y pregonaron delante de él: Doblad la rodilla: y púsole sobre toda la tierra de Egipto.

And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.

Sodann sagte der Pharao zu Joseph: »Ich bin der Pharao; aber ohne deine Einwilligung soll niemand die Hand oder den Fuß im ganzen Lande Ägypten rühren.«

Y dijo Faraón á José: Yo Faraón; y sin ti ninguno alzará su mano ni su pie en toda la tierra de Egipto.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh. Without you, no man shall lift up his hand or his foot in all the land of Egypt.”

Außerdem verlieh der Pharao dem Joseph den Titel ›Zaphenath-Paneah‹ und gab ihm Asenath, die Tochter Potipheras, des Priesters von On zur Frau. So gebot denn Joseph über das (ganze) Land Ägypten.

Y llamó Faraón el nombre de José, Zaphnath-paaneah; y dióle por mujer á Asenath, hija de Potipherah, sacerdote de On. Y salió José por toda la tierra de Egipto.

And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

Dreißig Jahre war Joseph alt, als er in den Dienst des Pharaos, des Königs von Ägypten, trat. Nachdem Joseph sich nun vom Pharao wegbegeben hatte, durchzog er das ganze Land Ägypten.

Y era José de edad de treinta años cuando fué presentado delante de Faraón, rey de Egipto: y salió José de delante de Faraón, y transitó por toda la tierra de Egipto.

And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

Das Land trug aber während der sieben Jahre des Überflusses (Getreide) in Hülle und Fülle.

Da sammelte er den ganzen Ernteertrag der sieben guten Jahre, die über Ägypten kamen, und ließ das Getreide in die Städte schaffen: nämlich in jede Stadt brachte er den Ertrag der umliegenden Felder hinein.

Y él juntó todo el mantenimiento de los siete años que fueron en la tierra de Egipto, y guardó mantenimiento en las ciudades, poniendo en cada ciudad el mantenimiento del campo de sus alrededores.

And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.

So speicherte Joseph Getreide auf wie Sand am Meer, unendlich viel, bis man aufhörte, es zu messen, denn es war nicht mehr zu messen.

Y acopió José trigo como arena de la mar, mucho en extremo, hasta no poderse contar, porque no tenía número.

And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number.

Noch ehe das Hungerjahr kam, wurden dem Joseph zwei Söhne geboren von Asenath, der Tochter Potipheras, des Priesters von On.
