Und Josef nannte den Namen seines Erstgeborenen Manasse („der vergessen lässt“), denn †er sagte: Gott hat mich meine ganze Mühsal vergessen lassen und das ganze Haus meines Vaters.

Y llamó José el nombre del primogénito Manasés; porque Dios (dijo) me hizo olvidar todo mi trabajo, y toda la casa de mi padre.

And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.
