Joseph nannte seinen erstgeborenen Sohn Manasse; »denn«, sagte er, »Gott hat mich all mein Unglück und mein ganzes Vaterhaus vergessen lassen«.

Y llamó José el nombre del primogénito Manasés; porque Dios (dijo) me hizo olvidar todo mi trabajo, y toda la casa de mi padre.

And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.
