Ceci est la lignée d'Ésaü, le même qu'Édom.

Y ESTAS son las generaciones de Esaú, el cual es Edom.

Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.

Ésaü choisit ses femmes parmi les filles de Canaan: Ada, fille d'Élôn le Héthéen et Oholibama, fille de Ana, fille de Cibôn le Hévéen;

And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.

Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all the members of his household, with his livestock, all his animals, and all his possessions, which he had gathered in the land of Canaan, and went into a land away from his brother Jacob.

Car leurs possessions étaient trop nombreuses pour qu'ils pussent habiter en commun; et le lieu de leur séjour ne pouvait les contenir, à cause de leurs troupeaux.

Porque la hacienda de ellos era grande, y no podían habitar juntos, ni la tierra de su peregrinación los podía sostener á causa de sus ganados.

For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.

For their substance was too great for them to dwell together, and the land of their travels couldn’t bear them because of their livestock.

Ésaü se fixa donc sur la montagne de Séir. Ésaü, c'est Édom.

Y Esaú habitó en el monte de Seir: Esaú es Edom.

Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.

And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau’s son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau’s wife.

Ce sont là les enfants d Ésaü, ce sont là leurs chefs de famille c'est là Édom.

Voici les enfants de Cibôn: Veayya et Ana, le même Ana qui trouva les yémîm dans le désert, lorsqu'il menait paître les ânes de Cibôn son père.
