¿Por qué huiste a escondidas y me engañaste? ¡Si me lo hubieras dicho, yo te habría despedido con gran alegría, con cantos y música de panderos y arpas!

¿Por qué te escondiste para huir, y me hurtaste, y no me diste noticia, para que yo te enviara con alegría y con cantares, con tamborín y vihuela?

Wherefore didst thou flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and didst not tell me, that I might have sent thee away with mirth, and with songs, with tabret, and with harp?
